Qin Hai pretended not to hear the shouting behind him, but Shangguan Wan chased after him with a light jog and grabbed his sleeve, insisting, "You can't leave!"
Qin Hai looked down at his sleeve and, with a sense of resignation, turned to face Shangguan Wan and asked, "Big sister, what else do you want?"
Shangguan Wan's face suddenly turned red; she lowered her head, somewhat embarrassed, and whispered softly, "You have to take responsibility for me!"
"What?" Qin Hai was startled and quickly cleaned out his ears, hoping he hadn't heard wrong.
Shangguan Wan, annoyed, looked up at Qin Hai with a glare as if to accuse him of pretending not to hear, clearly intentional on his part.
"I said you have to take responsibility for me!" she repeated loudly, since there was only Qin Hai nearby and she didn't have to worry about others hearing.
Qin Hai finally confirmed his ears were fine; it was Shangguan Wan who seemed to have a bigger issue.
