"Beep—beep—beep—"
The piercing whistle echoed throughout the entire second company's dormitory, startling the warriors from their slumber.
Full gear, emergency assembly!
Mo Shangjun stood on the open ground waiting, checking her timer while continuing to blow the whistle.
After a full half minute of blowing, she put the whistle back in her pocket.
The emergency assembly in full gear at night had a time limit of five minutes.
Mo Shangjun waited unhurriedly.
The warriors arrived one after another, in such a rush that many were disheveled, but most managed to arrive in about three minutes, neatly dressed, forming lines in front of her.
After five minutes, the three platoon leaders reported the numbers; everyone was present, with no one late.
Yet, in Mo Shangjun's eyes, it was not very satisfactory.
Each of them looked spirited enough, and their speeds were within the acceptable range, but no matter how she saw it, they were far behind the first company.
