In the days that followed, she watched the little child slowly grow up, learn to speak, learn to walk, learn to let go of her hand and walk alone. With him, she was no longer lonely, taking him to see the world she had created. One day, he lay in her arms and said, "Why is it always just the two of us? I want someone to play with me."
She too felt lonely, and so she used her spiritual power to create four more beings, three male and one female. Because they lacked her blood, they were of a much lower grade than him.
Now that there were five of them, it became difficult to tell them apart. So, she gave each of them a name: Hen Xi, Mang Qianjun, Rong Xiu, and Yong Xing. The child who had grown up, now with thoughts of his own, named himself Zi Xiao.
