Chapter 11 - Chapter 6 The Empress Encounters an Embarrassing Incident on Her Way Back to Demon City

After jostling through the deep mountain forests for over a Shichen, just as Shangguan Linlang thought she had finally escaped from the ancient tomb only to head towards a grave, Shangguan Zifeng finally brought the car, which had nearly cost her life, to a stop.

Before the Empress could wait for the car to come to a complete halt, she leaped out in a whiff, then leaned against a large tree by the road and began to bend over and vomit profusely. Since the Empress had been accidentally released from the Living Tomb by Shangguan Zifeng, she hadn't eaten at all, thus now she had nothing to vomit but saliva. But the Empress had thrown up many times along the way, and her mouth was parched and her tongue scorched. Now her stomach was churning, leaving only bitter bile to eject.

"Zifeng, I really can't take it anymore. If this continues, I'm afraid I will die in this so-called car of yours. I'm afraid I won't be able to accompany you for the rest of the trip," Shangguan Linlang said weakly to a very concerned Shangguan Zifeng after the dizzy spells and nausea had passed.

"Your Highness, we have already left the deep mountains. It is likely that there is a shop nearby that sells Anti-motion Sickness Medicine. Why don't you rest here for awhile? I will go and get the medicine by myself. Once you have taken the Anti-motion Sickness Medicine, you will naturally be alright. How does that sound?"

Shangguan Zifeng had witnessed the dreadful state of motion sickness in his revered ancestor over the journey and couldn't bear it. He knew that Shangguan Linlang had been toughing it out; the young lady had said nothing and persisted till here which was evidently the Empress's limit. After much thought, Shangguan Zifeng reluctantly made this suggestion.

"It can only be so. Then I will trouble you, Zifeng. Please help me to buy the medicine. I will rest here and wait for your return." Shangguan Linlang couldn't think of a better solution, and the only plan for now was to follow Shangguan Zifeng's arrangements, especially since this was not a place she was familiar with, and it would not be advisable for her to rashly leave alone.

"Your Highness, please stay here peacefully, and don't wander around, okay? Also, if you encounter people who point fingers and make comments, do not get angry. They are just curious about your attire; you can simply ignore them. And if someone comes to talk with you, please don't lash out in anger and start a fight. In our place, fighting with others is also illegal. If you accidentally cause serious injury or death to someone, you will have to go to prison. Do you understand prison? It means that you could be wrongfully imprisoned, facing the calamity of jail. Remember, do not resort to violence; that is the right approach."

Before leaving, Shangguan Zifeng suddenly slapped his forehead and hurried back to Shangguan Linlang to give numerous nagging reminders, repeatedly embedding them in her ears out of fear that his historically fierce little ancestor would impetuously take a life in anger.

"I am not reckless, and I certainly won't stoop to the level of ordinary folks like you. Moreover, I won't casually disrupt your legal system. Rest assured and leave; I will wait patiently for your return." Shangguan Linlang knew that Shangguan Zifeng meant well, so she didn't take offense at his apparently offensive words.

Seeing that Shangguan Linlang finally took his advice, Shangguan Zifeng felt somewhat relieved. However, midway through his departure, he suddenly turned around and gave one more piece of advice to that overly beautiful stunning beauty, "If someone asks why you are dressed like this, just tell them you are an actress. Of course, if anyone dares to harass you, don't be afraid to give them a beating. Just remember not to kill anyone, do not strike at any fatal points, just teach them a good lesson."

Shangguan Zifeng couldn't rest easy leaving Shangguan Linlang all alone in this wild and desolate place. Though the Empress was very skilled and any offender would have only themselves to blame, he was worried because Shangguan Linlang was an ancient young lady who didn't understand the ways of the modern world, so he fretted like an old mother hen, instructing her on anything that came to mind.

"How much longer do you intend to dawdle? It's getting dark and you're still here wasting time. I have memorized all that you have told me, so stop your endless nagging, or I won't hesitate to send you away myself." Shangguan Linlang's head ached from Shangguan Zifeng's incessant rambling, to the point that she couldn't stand it any longer and raised her hand, wanting to send this chattering man flying with a slap, so she could get some peace of mind.
