Chiang Xiao took a deep breath and said, "If the person you want to arrest is me, then let my grandparents leave first; they haven't done anything wrong. Otherwise, allow them to go out for some water and a bite to eat before coming back."
"How's that," snorted the man, "want to get some reinforcements, do you? Just sit tight and cut the crap." He glanced at Chiang Xiao and continued, "No one's leaving until things are sorted out. Everyone stays right here."
Chiang Xiao clenched her teeth.
She didn't want to think of these office people as utterly beyond redemption. Maybe it was just bad luck to have run into such types?
Just as she was about to speak again, someone outside shouted harshly and pushed a woman and three men into the room.
The three men looked sneaky and sly, all in their twenties, with bruised and swollen faces, as if they had been in a serious fight.
