Qinghe glanced at the two individuals behind her and headed straight for one of the rooms. In reality, the laboratory wasn't large— aside from the hall filled with various research instruments, there were only a few rooms. One of them was even a large common sleeping area, presumably for the researchers to rest; over ten individuals squeezing into one room— the conditions were indeed dire. Another room appeared much more upscale, containing a television, computer, work desk, and even a private bathroom. Inside, there lay a lavish, large bed.
In the room next to where the Weisheng Yueren and others were, Qinghe saw the person she had been longing for. Yet, the password lock at the door stopped her in her tracks, and in frustration, she kicked the door, cursing it. She was genuinely regretting not having brought Mu'er; with him around, any high-tech electronic product or lock would be mere child's play to unlock.
