Qi Huifen was watching TV on the sofa with Ye Mei.
Ye Mei was accompanying her obediently.
Qiao Xiguan returned to her room to avoid disturbing their prime "mother-in-law and daughter-in-law" bonding opportunity.
She took a nap, then took the little monkey and pushed Gu Zichen out the door.
In the living room, Ye Mei seemed to still be watching TV with Qi Huifen, watching some of her favorite family ethic dramas. Qi Huifen kept discussing the plot with Ye Mei, and the intimacy between them was evident.
"Mom," Qiao washed up and approached Qi Huifen, speaking respectfully, "Zichen, Minglu, and I won't be coming back for dinner tonight."
"Where are you going?"
"Zichen said he wanted to get some fresh air, and since it's the weekend, we thought we'd take Minglu out for a walk. We'll just eat something casual outside, so don't wait up for us."
