Xiao Ye's eyebrows twitched slightly as he reached out to wake her up.
The moment he touched her body, his brows furrowed even tighter—the body felt distinctly cold, void of any warmth.
"Yao Beidi," Xiao Ye called out to her with a somewhat cold voice.
Yao Beidi turned over, having heard some sound, but seemingly too tired, she wriggled her body and curled up again to sleep.
"Yao Beidi," Xiao Ye's voice grew colder.
Yao Beidi froze.
This time she seemed a little more awake. She struggled to open her eyes, and then with sleepy vision, she looked at the man in front of her, saw his cold demeanor, and suddenly sat up from the sofa, "Xiao Ye, you're back."
"Why didn't you go to bed to sleep?!" Xiao Ye's brow tightened as he asked coldly.
"I wasn't sleeping, I was waiting for you," Yao Beidi blurted out as she looked at him.
Xiao Ye's brow furrowed deeply.
Seeing the look in his eyes, Yao Beidi's voice grew softer, "Then, unknowingly, I fell asleep... Achoo..."
