Early in the morning, the bright sunlight spilled through the windows.
Li Qing raised his hand to shield his eyes and looked beside him.
Han Mei was already up.
Li Qing hurriedly scrambled out of bed, as the sound of chopping vegetables echoed from the kitchen.
"Sister-in-law, why are you up so early?" Li Qing walked into the kitchen and asked.
"Better to get up early, just in case Tian Yue'e, that loose mare, comes early. It wouldn't look good for her to see us together like that," Han Mei said with a laugh.
After Li Qing's diligent watering last night, Han Mei was even more radiant and charming, just like a newlywed young wife.
Her face, already fair and rosy, looked extra dewy and fresh.
"What does it matter if she sees? We're all family," Li Qing said with an unconcerned smile.
"Shameless!" Han Mei chided softly.
Li Qing wrapped his arms around Han Mei's slender waist from behind and mumbled, "Sister-in-law, I'm still not full."
