Even though the Yu family patriarch had reached such an old age, seeing him showing such disregard for blood relations still caused him to barely suppress a change in his facial expression.
"I have other matters to attend to, so I won't keep Father company for much longer," he said.
As his words fell, Yu Chiyin nodded toward the patriarch and his uncle before turning to leave.
The old patriarch watched his departing figure, gripping the cane in his hand tightly as a deep anger flashed across his aged face.
After Chiyin had left, the patriarch too changed his expression, leaving Tan Garden in a huff.
The uncle followed behind, assisting the patriarch downstairs.
Once outside in the car, the patriarch sat in the carriage, seemingly talking to the uncle as well as muttering to himself.
"The cub has grown up after all and refuses to be disciplined," he said.
Having spoken, the patriarch held onto his cane and closed his eyes to rest.
