He Hanjin had been worried about Wen Zhi all along, and rushing over left him somewhat exhausted.
He lay on the other side of the bed, always vigilant, even the slightest noise was enough to startle him awake.
"Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere?" He Hanjin sat up suddenly, showing great concern for Wen Zhi.
Wen Zhi looked at him, concerned for her, slightly pursed her lips, and shook her head slightly.
She and Wang Xin had only had a standoff, with no physical conflict, how could there be any discomfort?
His reaction seemed a bit of an overreaction.
"I'm perfectly fine, don't worry," Wen Zhi said.
"Be sure to speak up if there's anything," He Hanjin said seriously.
Wen Zhi nodded.
She thought this topic would pass, but unexpectedly, He Hanjin asked again, "Is there anything you want to eat? Or drink? Would you like some dessert?"
His usual coldness was replaced by an attentive demeanor that took Wen Zhi by surprise.
