Wang Yi could hardly contain his excitement at the thought of seeing He Hanjin again so soon.
Wang Yi made a point of arriving half an hour early within the agreed time, fearing his punctuality might be taken as an affront.
When He Hanjin entered, he saw that Wang Yi had already been there waiting.
"President He."
Upon seeing He Hanjin, Wang Yi immediately stood up respectfully.
He Hanjin nodded slightly, conveying with his eyes for Wang Yi to sit.
Once they were both seated, He Hanjin spoke, "You came quite early?"
"Not really, I just got here not long ago," Wang Yi lied.
He couldn't mention his early arrival, fearing He Hanjin might misunderstand him.
He Hanjin did not pursue the matter further but brought up the last bid, "Congratulations on securing the land in the city's east end."
When the topic came up, Wang Yi's face showed a modest smile, and he scratched the back of his head, "It was thanks to your advice, President He, that I was able to secure that land."
