"Qi Huai'an, why have you come?"
Seeing her, Qi Huai'an's face immediately blossomed into a smile, a completely different expression from the wary caution he had shown in front of Liu Yue.
He shook the gift in his hand.
"I came to see Xinxin and, by the way, to see you, and bring you guys some gifts."
"Wow."
Ji Jiaxin immediately rushed toward the gift, looking up at Qi Huai'an with sparkling eyes.
"Thank you, Uncle Qi."
Liu Yue was also smiling gently on the side.
"Come on, Xinxin, Aunt Liu will take you to the room to open the gift, and then change into some clothes to come out and entertain this uncle, okay?"
Ji Jiaxin was a well-mannered child, and she agreed without a word.
As the two entered the room, Qi Huai'an kept his gaze on them until they were out of sight before turning away. He pursed his lips and pulled Ji Yao aside.
"What's wrong?"
Noticing something off with his expression, Ji Yao asked another question.
