"You'd better just stay here and don't even think about leaving. This isn't a place you can leave," Huo Yixiu said as he entered, cautioning Shen Chu'an.
"As a pregnant woman, how can I leave? You're really overestimating me," Shen Chu'an scoffed, sitting by the window and looking at the scenery outside.
"I've heard from the bodyguards that you've been trying to wander around when you have nothing to do, and you've been observing the outside, isn't that because you want to escape?" Huo Yixiu prodded.
"I'm cooped up here all day, not even allowed to step outside the door. Can't I at least look around? Or do you want to suffocate me?" Shen Chu'an snorted coldly, then continued, "As for escaping, I came here not knowing where anything is. Even without a bodyguard watching me, where could a pregnant woman like me possibly escape to?"
Shen Chu'an couldn't help but roll her eyes at him, "I do treasure my life, you know."
