Wen Mian slipped on her slippers and walked out, her footsteps growing closer, about to reach the servant.
Just then, the servant dashed into a nearby wardrobe with a speed that left no time for covering one's ears!
The wardrobe doors opened and then closed, emitting a slight noise.
However, Wen Mian's attention wasn't on that, so much so that she didn't hear the sound at all.
By the time she entered the bedroom, it was as if nothing had changed.
The bath towel was still on the bedpost, and the tranquil environment seemed as though no one had come in.
Little did she know, the servant inside the wardrobe was already trembling.
"Please don't discover me, please don't discover me."
The servant was muttering something, her eyes tightly shut, as if trying to avoid Wen Mian's inspection.
Fortunately for her, Wen Mian was just there to grab the bath towel and go back.
