"You seem preoccupied with something?" the fortune-teller continued to banter with Chu Liangxia.
"Mhm," Chu Liangxia answered, peeling an orange the fortune-teller had given her, "I noticed it too."
Watching him with great interest, the fortune-teller unapologetically began to eye a fellow tradesman's opportunity, "Want me to cast a fortune for you?"
"No need," Chu Liangxia tossed the orange peel into a trash bag and then broke off half for him, "I don't believe in you."
"You're in this line of work and even you don't believe?" the fortune-teller huffed.
"No, I mean," Chu Liangxia slowly finished a segment of the orange, smiling, she sincerely explained, "you're not as good as me."
"..."
The fortune-teller was deeply hurt.
After a few glances at Chu Liangxia, the fortune-teller begrudgingly averted his gaze.
Hmph.
If it weren't for her pitiful circumstances, he would've certainly sent her packing.
