Dinner at Longmen Mansion not only included a roasted whole lamb service but also a small fireworks show.
The fireworks were a spontaneous idea from the old master, who had Long Aotian's subordinates rush to the Fireworks Company to buy their available stock. Each year for the New Year festivities, they would order a variety of fireworks to set off on New Year's Eve for Siyan to watch.
Siyan had loved fireworks since she was little. Going out to see them wasn't enjoyable because it was crowded and uncomfortable, so the old master would dig into his coffers a tiny bit to buy fireworks for his precious granddaughter, as there was no shortage of hands at home to set them off for the young miss.
Siyan was truly very fond of fireworks, the kind she could watch every year without ever growing tired of them.
