Chapter 34 - Accommodation [2]

Human adaptability is truly great.

The New Black Prison, which I thought I would never be able to adapt to, became like my home after a few days.

I've already become accustomed to Samuel snoring every night and Sunny tossing and turning while muttering 'I'm going to turn' to the rhythm of his own accord.

Every time I sleep, the person next to me asks, 'Raj Brother, are you sleeping? The same goes for Avi, who wakes up everyone else and then falls asleep on his own, saying, 'If you don't sleep, come play with me.'

We all got used to the accommodation.

So, after a few days, I became a pagan in my own way... No, a regular morning routine has developed at the dorm.

"Hwaam."

At dawn.

As always, when I come out after yawning, I hear a clattering noise coming from the kitchen.

Every morning, Gary wakes up first before anyone else and prepares a meal.

"Did you sleep well, bro?"

"No."

I shook my head.

"Samuel snored a lot yesterday."

"It wasn't a joke."

"I couldn't sleep at all. really."

"me too."

"I was defusing a bomb in my dream last night, and I cut the rope wrong. I woke up and heard Samuel snoring on the second floor."

Gary just giggled.

After putting the bottle of water back in the refrigerator, I put my face towards the scene where the cooking scene was in full swing.

"what are you doing?"

"I'm making toast."

Most of them were simple dishes, but if I think about making 5 servings every day, it is a very difficult task.

"Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Please just set the plates."

"Okay."

When we spread out the table and placed the plates in the cramped living room, another member would wake up from his sleep.

Avi opens his eyes and flops down on the living room sofa.

It's better to sleep.

I open and close my eyes and nod my head repeatedly.

The reason why this guy, who sleeps the most among the members, wakes up so easily is because of breakfast.

"Avi."

"… hmm? yes?"

"Just sleep."

"No. I need to eat a big piece of toast."

At this point, isn't that great persistence?

When Gary brought a frying pan and handed out dishes, he was looking through it and then took the biggest one for himself.

"Don't eat, just wait. I'll wake the guys up and come back."

While Avi and I were drooling over the toast, Gary went to wake up the members.

It is obvious who will wake up first.

"I'm not eating, bro."

Main vocalist Sunny, who always skips breakfast because he is short, went straight to the bathroom.

Gary made expression of regret.

Soon, Samuel, who barely woke up, joined us, and our regular routine was to have breakfast for the four of us.

Quarr-

Samuel looked at the ceiling and said as if it was no big deal.

"It looks like the toilet upstairs is flushing."

"I know."

The accommodation is so soundproof that we can hear the toilet flushing upstairs.

This was also our daily routine.

-Oh, it's hot!

Oh, including that one.

***

A klaxon sound is heard outside the accommodation.

"I guess the manager is here. Let's go down."

It was Raju Shah who came to pick us up like a sword at exactly the same time every day.

I was afraid of being nagged, so I dressed in a hurry and the owners went to find my shoes that were scattered around.

By the way.

Gary obviously sorted it all out the day before yesterday, but when did it get messed up again?

"Avi, isn't that mine?"

"brother! That's mine."

While the criminals, who had 90% of the shoes in the entrance, were making a scene, Sunny opened the shoe closet and looked at them pitifully.

Meanwhile, Gary checked the gas and electric codes.

After all this, we went down and checked into Starex on the first floor, and that was the end of our morning routine.

"hello!"

"Good morning, manager."

Recently, a series of company personnel had left the company, so Manager Raju was in charge of picking us up from the dormitory to the practice room.

Of course, today was a little different from usual.

Director Raju dressed up in a dandy outfit.

We were also wearing rather stylish civilian clothes rather than our usual sweatpants.

"Is everyone ready?"

The corners of Raju eyes are raised as seen through the rearview mirror.

Today is that day.

The day I go to Joshi Entertainment for collaboration work.

Collaboration.

It was an industry term referring to collaboration with other artists.

To be more specific, it is when artists of different genres or musical colors sing together.

Often the song has a 'feat. The difference from featuring, such as 'Lets meet away', is that unlike featuring, where the other musician participates only in part of the song, collaboration has an equal proportion of the two musicians.

Actually, it doesn't mean much.

This is only a distinction for convenience, but it is something that even people in the field are confused about.

"I really had a hard time with the featuring terminology issue."

Director Raju revealed the story behind the negotiations with Joshi Entertainment.

"I thought I was losing my hair while negotiating with you."

"Who are you? Representative?"

Everyone in the car burst out laughing due to the Avi suddenly joining the conversation while looking the other way.

Sorry, CEO.

Raju laughed as he removed the black box memory from the car.

"I heard that I always erase the black box recordings because of him. Really, if someone wants to hear it, what are you going to do?"

"I can turn that feature off."

"it's okay. I use it sometimes anyway."

As he inserted the memory into his cell phone, Raju continued his interrupted conversation.

"There wasn't a fight between the companies and an uproar because of the song's title. Joshi Entertainment asks, 'What kind of artists are these kids who haven't even debuted yet?' We said we should use 'Feat' in the title, and we said equal weight was natural."

"You fight with that too."

"This is what the agency is for, man."

"Chief."

Samuel, who was munching on a banana in the backseat, asked.

"So what happened?"

"It was properly tied. I told the person in charge that one of our children is talented at composing music. Not only will they sing, but they will also participate in song writing."

Raju looked at me and asked.

"Why am I telling you this?"

"… Be good to me?"

"yes. You have to go and do well. Will the song be titled 'Lilly WatsonIt is now up to you whether you will become 'the new black.'"

It was a statement that made me feel burdened.

"By the way, this is my first time going to Joshi Entertainment."

"Have you not been there?"

"Sunny, I used to go to auditions for actors. That's why I came to our company in the first place."

His original dream was to be an actor.

For some reason, every time I saw him, I thought he was an actor.

I asked Sunny.

"Have you been to Hwayi Entertainment?"

"Of these, I'm probably the only one who's been there. I went for a vocal audition a while back."

"But Isn't it you were out of their in 10 seconds?"

"Sunny said that, he was eliminated as soon as he entered the audition venue."

"Why were you eliminated?"

Sunny answered my question as if he was reluctant.

"…They told me to dance first because I

looked good at singing."

Everyone laughed except one.

Mr. Sunny, the 5th ranked New Black Dancer who was holding back tears in his heart, spoke as if rationalizing.

"Originally, it was a company I wouldn't join even if I asked to come."

"Oh, yes. Really Sunny?"

"You please be quiet…"

While the youngest smiled at the sincere request, Sunny started talking about the Joshi Entertainment headquarters.

"I was about to give up because of the facilities."

"facility?"

"It looks nice on the outside, but it's a little strange once you go inside. I went into the practice room and there were toothpaste stains on the mirror."

"what. It was a long time ago."

I said it as if I was organizing it.

"It might be different now."

"But Joshi Entertainment has a lot of money. Among the companies that participated in the year-end evaluation, it was the second largest after us and DNS, so why did the practice room do that?"

"I know."

"Isn't that the time when Sunfish seniors were doing well?"

We all had doubts about Garry's words.
