Back at Coopers Village Rosario having gotten bored, had decided to try and get some information from Cooper. Of course, Cooper hadn't wanted to cooperate originally, so Rosario had done some convincing to get him to answer some questions. It was during this mice little chat that his first clansmen returned with news on their conquest of the village. The first back was Herald he thankfully had come in alone as he had found Rosario using one of Coopers fingers to poke Cooper in the face.
Clearing his throat and throwing the finger behind him like Herald wouldn't see it Rosario stood up and re-gaged Cooper.
"I am assuming you brought all the captive women back along with your teams?"
Herald for his part kept as straight a face as possible trying to ignore that he had seen his clan leader picking a captive's nose with the captives own severed finger, replied.
"Yes, sir. A total of seventy-eight women were found throughout the village in some sort of state of captivity. I have brought all of them along with the fourteen men who Julie and I had attacked the village with."
"Good, any word on the others and how clearing the village is going."
"From what I can see the village is now completely cleared of Goblins and everyone should be on their way here."
Walking past Harold towards the door Rosario replied.
"Good, grab him and bring him outside its high time we got this show on the road. I want to be home before nightfall."
Saluting Herald walked over to a panicking Cooper. He grabbed the trussed-up man from the ground and noticed a few other part of the man discarded on the ground. With a shudder he threw Cooper over his shoulder and made his way back onto the sunlight.
Rosario had walked out and stood on the Steps of the Great Hall and in front of him stood a few hundred people. He hadn't realized there were so many humans in this village as there had been goblins on the streets mostly when they had scouted. He guessed the humans must have been in their shacks or working in another area he hadn't seen.
Looking at the base of the stairs Rosario found his remaining clansmen except for Tormund all with their backs to him spears in their right hands shields in their left. The stood like statues in full armor glistening in the afternoon sun. Behind him he heard as Herald emerged with a frantic Cooper sling over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
As the milling crowd saw Herald emerge with the man over his shoulder they slowly quieted down. The hateful stares of hundreds were all aimed at the young man.
Rosario looking out over the crown was about to speak when he saw a gleam of metal in the distance, waiting as the crown became restless he saw as Tormund marched into the square leading quite a few people. Raising his brows under his helmet he got the confirmation that Soto must not have been lying.
With Tormund Rosario could see Soto and a hooded woman. She exuded an Aura just as powerful as Tormund meaning she must have completed her first evolution already. Rosario watched as the crowd parted to allow Soto, Tormund, and the woman a path to where he and the remaining clansmen were standing.
"Miss me?"
Tormund's quip went ignored by Rosario as he started at the woman next to Tormund.
"You're from earth?"
"I am."
"You are still a noble?" It sounded like both a statement and a question.
"I am, my name is Naomi, lived in the Hudson Valley region of New York before all this."
Nodding his head in greeting Rosario replied.
"You can call me Rosario; I am from the Finger lakes."
"Oh, a fellow New Yorker, its nice to meet you. Tormund told me you authorized him to make deals in your name. He and I have come to terms on one, but apparently the last part requires me to be in front of you. Also why is your visor completely black, its creepy I don't know where to look."
Rosario chuckled. "I was burned horribly when I first arrived on this planet. As it is an essence burn it did not heal, that is why I cover my face. As for your deal with Tormund, he spoke the truth, I trust him to negotiate good and fair terms on my behalf. Of course, I will need to hear the terms if we are signing any contracts. However right now I do not believe would be the best time. We can speak after this business is concluded, right now we have a public execution."
Strolling forward past both Tormund and Naomi, Rosario walked to the edge of the stairs just behind the wall of Armored Celestial Asuras standing at attention. As the now two integrated groups of people saw this they settled down to hear him speak.
"Good afternoon everyone, my name is Rosario Morlux. I am the Lord of a smaller village a few hours march from here. One of my warriors was an original inhabitant of this village and escaped from Coopers clutches. We took her in and made her one of ours."
As he said that Julie smashed her spear against her shield and let her Aura out for a split second. Just the split-second feel of her aura was enough to bring almost everyone in the crowd to their knees.
"Julie asked me to come back to this village, she told me of the atrocities that were being committed here. Our goal was to remove the goblin menace along with a Noble who should not have the power he wielded. I had my Clansmen gather you in this forum to witness the end of Coopers reign of terror over your lives. All of his Goblin subordinates are no more, even the ones at the mine."
Gesturing at Herald, Rosario watched over the crowd as Herald came up next to him dumping the man on the ground. As Cooper lay there groaning Rosario continued.
"Where I come from there are laws to be followed, there is a system set up to punish criminals like this man." Rosario paused. "However, this is not where I am from, this land has the law of the strong and there is no system to judge a person's actions currently. That being said, my clansmen and I have already personally witnessed enough misdeeds to condemn this man without anyone else's input."
Moving his right hand over a squirming Cooper, Rosario called out his spear from his storage and pierced it through Cooper in one swift motion. He did this without even stopping his speech to the people in front of him. Cooper's muffled cries were the background to his speech and the man below him slowly lost his life.
"Because of what we have seen, I as the Lord of the Morlux Clan condemn Cooper Clay to death for the crimes of: murder, r*pe, enslavement, and theft." Another pause, with only Coopers noises as the crowd had stilled when he had pierced the man. "I am sure some of you think I am cruel, maybe some think I am just as bad as this man below me. I am here to tell you I will never allow a r*pist to live in the same city as me, whether they are male or female. Our clan does not believe in slavery, in my territory there is no such thing as slaves. Once a man or woman enters my domain they are free, I don't care what any outsider says. I am not here to be everyone's friend; I am here to protect those who seek the shelter of my Clans power. You all are welcome to join us back at my village where you will be treated as normal human beings. From their you are free to leave if you want or stay and join us. Tonight, we will burn this village and all its memories to the ground leaving nothing, but ashes left for the forest to reclaim. Think about what you want we will be asking you all to leave in the next two hours."
Finishing his speech, he twisted the spear and seeing the flashing three dots he stored the spear away and walked back towards the inside of the Great Hall. As he passed by Naomi he instructed.
"Follow me inside, lets here what agreement you came to with Tormund, if you still want it."
