Walking down the cold, snow-covered streets of some nameless City, I felt my body shiver as I turned my body towards a thin alleyway, hidden between a pair of tall buildings, their walls shielding me from the cold.
I didn't know how long I stayed in that alleyway, I didn't know what I was trying to do, and I barely even knew what I was trying to get away from.
I was lost.
And as I sat quietly inside the alleyway, the only sound coming from me was that of my teeth rattling in the cold as my fur stood on its end, I started to cry.
I didn't know why I was crying, I simply cried. Maybe it was because of the cold, Maybe it was because I was scared of not waking up tomorrow, or maybe it was simply for everything that I went through in the past year.
And it was as I cried silently, my tears turning into drops of ice before they even reached the ground, that I felt warmth for the first time in... I'm not sure how long.
I didn't dare open my eyes, Afraid that the warmth would disappear as nothing more than an Illusion, a trick of the senses my body decided to play on me in my final moments before the cold grasp of the land beyond tomorrow took me away.
"There there, You do not need to cry," A voice, warm and sweet, whispered into my ears as I felt the cold disappear as if the small claws of biting frost didn't dare stay in the vicinity of such warmth.
I didn't say anything as I continued to silently cry, Unsure if out of fear, or perhaps hope.
Maybe my last moments wouldn't be in the freezing weather? Perhaps my mind is once again playing a trick on me, trying to give me some sense of hope before my final moments. An Illusion of a dream I never knew I had.
I felt a pair of limbs pick me up, the warmth spreading around my body as I was rocked from side to side.
"It's been almost one thousand years, but I finally found you," The voice said, I did not know what it was talking about, I was too busy trying to absorb as much heat as I could.
"My Little Prince,"
Hesitantly, I dared to open my eyes, to try and get a look at the creature that picked me up.
What greeted me instead was an empty black sky, No clouds covered the grand view of the night, the moon already halfway up in the sky, the Mare on the Moon seeming to glare at the land beneath her.
But most important, was the Star.
In the midst of the empty sky, Far away from the Moon, bereft of any clouds, I watched a single, lone star.
Gleaming beautifully in the night sky like a desert island alone in the middle of a vast ocean.
At that moment I knew, That no matter how bad things got, I would always find my way out of them.
I would never get lost again.
That Night, I was given a name and taken in by the only person I think I could ever dare call Family.
I tried to repeat the name she gave me, my lips still shivering from the cold.
"Blueblood Platinum..." What a beautiful name I have.
---------------------------------------------
Prince Blueblood groaned tiredly as he woke up, slowly dragging his body out of his bed and into his bathroom in order to take a refreshing morning shower.
In the Afternoon.
After standing in his shower without moving for fifteen minutes, The Prince closed off the water and exited, not bothering to dry his fur as he let the water droplets continue dripping down his fur, leaving a puddle behind him as he walked back into his room and started moving around objects with his magic.
An hour later he exited his room carrying a large and expensive suitcase, With a quick whistle from his lips the sounds of scuttling feet came closer.
"Hey there girl," He smiled gently at the Plant-based monster he decided to keep as a pet, the Golden Plunderseed Vine Spider named Comet climbing up his body and laying on top of his back, her long vine-like tail wrapping around the Prince's midriff to keep herself steady as the two walked towards the dining room.
-------------------------------
Opening her eyes, Twilight Sparkle couldn't help but let out a yawn of tired relaxation.
Looking around where she was, she found she was lying in one of the many guest rooms of Canterlot Castle, listening to the sounds of flushing water from the nearby bathroom telling her where her little brother was.
"Ohh, I shouldn't have eaten so much Ice cream," Spike groaned as he dragged himself out of the bathroom, his back hunched as a hand covered his stomach.
Twilight didn't want to say "I told you eating so much Ice Cream was going to be bad for you," But she did so anyway.
"Urgh, Past Spike was a monster," Present Spike groaned as he climbed back up onto the comfortably large bed, crawling under the puffy blankets and returning to sleep.
"Spike, Wake up, We need to get ready to leave," Twilight nudged him gently with her legs as she too exited the bed and entered the bathroom, ready to freshen up.
-------------------------------
"You know, I was never threatened with a knife before, It was super duper exciting, even though it was also super scary, I almost wanted to cry but then I recognized your voice so I knew you weren't actually going to stab me but it was still a new experience and It was super-" Prince Blueblood wanted to slam his head into the table as he listened to the Pink Demon go on and on about what happened this morning.
"Will giving you another bottle make you stop talking?" Blueblood asked as he tiredly turned away from his food in order to glare at the Earth Pony who was stuffing her face with food, like some sort of pig, unable to stop herself from putting more and more food into her mouth.
Pinkie Pie, Seeing as she couldn't speak with her mouth full, decided the best course of action was to force herself to swallow everything in her mouth, a face of pain etched on her face as she struggled to get everything down her throat, only to let out a loud burp when she finally did.
"Sorry, I'm told not to speak with my mouth full in such important places. You asked about a bottle? I love your bottles! You always have the best drink! Hey did you ever consider opening a store, all those drinks you have are so tasty I'm sure everypony will want to try them, There's my friend Applejack who opens a Cider stand once a year, her Cider is to die for, it's super tasty and delicious and you should try it sometime I think you-"
Prince Blueblood shoved a bottle of Bourbon in front of her face, causing the Pink Pony to shut up and grab the bottle before starting to drink it straight from the mouth.
"Pinkie Pie?! What do you think you're doing?!" Blueblood took a slow and deep breath in order to calm down before he turned to look at the Purple Unicorn that entered the dining room.
"Oh hey Twilight, Bluey just gave me one of his famous bottles, do you want to try some?" Pinkie Pie took the bottle out of her mouth and turned to Twilight.
"Yeah, No, I'm not dealing with both of you right now," Blueblood stood up and quickly left the duo behind him, taking his Suitcase and Plunderseed with him.
"...Why is he always so grumpy? Hey Twilight, do you think I can cheer him up without causing him to explode? I think I can do that easily, But I'm not sure if now is the time, there's a balance to this, Anyways do you want to try some of this? I know it's Neat, and usually, you'd want to start with an On the Rocks for your first drink, but this is really good, Hey Twilight, do you Drink?" Pinkie Pie's words caused Twilight to turn away from looking at the Prince's retreating figure and turn back to Pinkie Pie.
"I don't think it's a good idea to drink in the Castle, we are guests after all, and I never drank before, I'm not sure if this is a good idea to start doing so now," Twilight said and gently levitated the bottle out of Pinkie Pie's grasp, "Now let's go, we need to get back to Ponyville,"
"Awww, But I was so close to getting him to admit his evil world domination plan," Pinkie Pie pouted, "I had him running in my hooves, he was almost ready to admit everything,"
"Pinkie Pie, what are you talking about?" Twilight raised an eyebrow, making sure the bottle of Bourbon was away from Pinkie.
"I'll show you once we get back to Ponyville," Pinkie Pie answered before turning back to her plate and stuffing her face some more.
"I don't think we'll be leaving anytime soon," Spike said as he moved to sit in the chair where the Prince sat, taking a look at the leftovers still in front of him, before shrugging and deciding that he wasn't above eating somebody else's food.
Twilight sighed and got ready to spend another hour in the castle.
------------------------------------
"Princess Celestia! I am going on a Vacation! I'll be back in two weeks! Please try to improve the security of the castle while I'm gone! And stop eating so much cake, it's bad for your health!" Princess Celestia smiled gently as she waved goodbye to the Illusion of Blueblood that appeared in her room.
------------------------------------
"Cadance, I'm putting Cosmos in your care until I'm back, Don't forget to feed her twice a day and take her out on walkies, she gets grumpy when she's cooped up inside all the time. If she lays her head on your lap, try scratching her chin, Her favorite kibble is the Beef and Carrot flavored one," The Illusion of Blueblood said before disappearing, leaving behind an ornate box holding a pair of crystal shards connected to a golden chain necklace.
"...Is she a dog now?" Cadance raised an Eyebrow as she picked up the box with Cosmos's body parts and placed it beside her bed before returning to her work of planning the wedding.
--------------------------------------
"Are you sure now is a good time to do this?" Starlight Glimmer raised an Eyebrow as she followed her best friend onto a cruise ship, the two of them walking past the other passengers as they made their way to the VIP area of the ship in order to drop their bags, "Also, why did you bring Comet along?"
"Starlight, My cousin is getting married at the end of March, which means I have three weeks to try and relax until then, This ship is going to be at least four days of just sailing the sea, listening to whatever bullshit play the crew decided to hold, eating overpriced gourmet food, and just overall doing nothing." Prince Blueblood tried to explain as the duo entered their room, Blueblood placed his Plunderseed on the bed as he took his suit off, replacing it with a floral patterned buttoned shirt and a pair of sunglasses.
"Also, Comet is my responsibility, I need to take her with me on these long trips," Blueblood smiled as he scratched the Golden plant monster's back, "And before you suggest hiring a Pet-sitter, I'm telling you right now, there is no way I am letting some stranger take care of my baby," He pulled Comet into a hug, The Plunder-Spider producing clicking sounds in order to show her affection to the Prince.
Even without any eyes, Blueblood knew the Plunderseed liked him.
"You said two weeks, this ship is only for four days, what are we going to do once this is done?" Starlight raised an eyebrow as she took off her stuffy black bodyguard suit, folding her glasses away and stretching her natural body.
"Do not worry, I have everything planned, And once these two weeks of relaxation pass, We'll return to the castle and get ready for the wedding, buy a new suit and everything, Right now, all we have to do is nothing,"
"Nothing?" Starlight asked as she tested her mattress.
"Nothing at all," Blueblood let out a sigh of relaxation as he turned to the window of his cabin, opening the door to the small balcony overlooking the ship. Watching the setting sun disappear beyond the horizon.
"Something terrible is going to happen, you know that right?" Starlight decided it was a good idea to try and ruin the mood by bringing up the Prince's horrible track record of leaving the castle without something horrible happening.
"Starlight?"
"Yes Blueblood?"
"Shut up..."
"Nah, I think I'll be enjoying watching you trying, and failing, to relax," Starlight smirked at her friend.
Blueblood merely responded by letting out a tired sigh.
"Do you want to check out what drinks they have at the bar?" Starlight asked, and the Prince seemed to perk up slightly at that.
"Sure, Let's go," And with that, The two Unicorns and the Golden Plant Monster finally started their well-earned vacation.
But let us be honest with ourselves, something is going to happen.
