Following the return of the Crystal Heart, the Crystal Empire found itself free of King Sombra's tyranny, and now, able to move forward from that dark page of their history books, and go on to a brighter tomorrow.
With a unanimous vote from the Crystal Ponies, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza took her place as the rightful ruler of The Crystal Empire, to the celebration of many.
With the day over, the Yak's began their return to their home villages, with a few exceptions of course.
"We still have so much history to glean from this Library," One of the Yak researchers explained to the confused Crystal Ponies.
And while most Yak decided to take the train back to Yakyakistan, a few decided to take the long route.

"I'm sorry what should have been a short meeting to build new opportunities devolved into such a dangerous fiasco," Prince Blueblood Platinum smiled apologetically as he stood at the edge of the Crystal Empire, watching a group of Yaks get ready to depart.
"Nonsense Friend Blueblood!" Prince Rutherford said loudly, "Help stop the evil we did! Save the Empire we had!" He laughed uproariously, "Manage to glimpse your battle with Sombra I did, Tell tales of your strength they will! Haha!"
"Yeah," Blueblood rubbed the back of his neck, "I do apologize in advance for you're future meeting with Princess Celestia to manage the new border situation..."
"Nonsense, I will use the opportunity to finally beat you in drinking!"
"I do believe that I'm the one who's supposed to be beating you in our drinking challenge." Blueblood pointed out.
"You drink like a warrior true! It will be me who shall outdrink you!" Rutherford reiterated.
"You drink like a Prince of Yaks, it is I who needs to be able to outdrink you to win!" Blueblood said back.
"You both drink the same amount, which is arguably too much!" Starlight Glimmer spoke up to dispel the childish back and forth the two royals were having, "Have a safe trip, Your Highness, But I need to get this idiot to focus on his other work." She wrapped a leg around Blueblood's neck, pulling him into a side-hug.
"Haha! Of course of course!" Rutherford laughed, "You both are honorary Yak! Best wishes to you both!" He told the two unicorns before he and his entourage stepped out of the borders of the Empire and into the freezing tundra outside of the Crystal Heart's range.
The Crystal Empire was located in Yakyakistani territory, and its sudden reappearance has sparked much discussion about the shaping of new borders that must now occur.
Returning the Crystal Empire's historical land will lead to many problems for the many Yak villages that were built over the course of the last 1,000 years, but at the same time the Crystal Empire could not feasibly be ruled by Yakyakistan.
And with Princess Cadance estimated to sleep her exhaustion off for the next few days, there was little reason for Prince Rutherford to stay much longer in the Empire.
---------------------------------------
"How much do you wager they're boning?" A Yak guard asked as he waded through the snow, following his Prince.
"A Stallion and a Mare can be good friends with no Romance getting in the way!" Rutherford pointed out, "But I will wager 5 barrels of wine that they are boning!" He laughed loudly, joined by the rest of his entourage.
"10 Barrels they end up getting married by the end of the decade!" Another guard added.
"...Me thought they already married..." Another Yak whispered, embarrassed at the scandalous discussion he was now a part of.
"Yak Yakity Yak! Hahahaha!" Another Yak shouted in his mother tongue, causing the rest to laugh, ignoring the freezing tundra pelting their furs.

"Ahh~ It's good to be back~" Prince Blueblood let out a content sigh as he stepped into Canterlot Castle for the first time in a bit over a full week.
Following Sombra's defeat, he stayed in The Crystal Empire for another night, the Elements of Harmony having returned to Equestria the evening prior to his return.
"You!" He pointed at a passing maid, "Take these bags to my room, and you!" He pointed at the maid beside her, "Tell the chef to ready my food! I haven't eaten anything besides train food and Yakyakistani cuisine for a week, tell him I'm expecting something Prench~"
"Right away your Highness!" The maids bowed before quickly going to do their jobs.
"Starlight, go do something else, I'm going to take a shower~" He told his bodyguard before his body faded away into an illusion of invisibility.
"...Wow. Just leave me behind..." Starlight Glimmer stared at the spot he just stood at before she shook her head and went deeper into the castle, "Let's see what Raven's up to."

Sitting at the dinner table, eating his food on his own, Prince Blueblood let out a relaxed sigh as he took a bite of a vegetarian Cordon Bleu with a side of Onion Soup.
As he was eating, he watched his bowl of soup levitate away from him as another pony sat on the other side of the table, the spoon of soup levitating into her mouth as the new diner took a bite of his food.
Luckily for him, The Prince expected something like this to happen, so he got the chef to make him a bowl of mushroom soup.
"You look like you've enjoyed yourself," Princess Luna said as she took another spoonful of soup.
"I did," Blueblood admitted, "Following the entire ordeal with Chrysalis, I found myself wanting to just let loose and... defeat a villain~"
"You wanted to punch a pony in the face and get away with it~" Luna smirked from the other side of the table.
"Guilty as charged~" Blueblood smirked, "I wanted to let loose, work both my magic and frustrations out, I've been needing this for two months already, and I finally got it when I beat Sombra."
"Woah- Wait!" Luna raised her voice, lowering the spoon back into the bowl of soup, "You beat Sombra?"
"Yep."
"You," Luna pointed at Blueblood. "Expect us to believe," she pointed at herself. "That you," she said back to Blueblood. "Beat Sombra?"
"You're saying this as if I haven't already fought off Chrysalis twice before. I'm still in the lead with her, It's two to one." Blueblood reminded her, "But yes, I fought off Sombra, If we ignore the twenty minutes I spent just walloping on his face at the start, the fight lasted only thirty minutes or so, most of which was the two of us speaking to each other under an illusion."
"So you waited until The Crystal Heart was found, and then held him in place until the Heart's Magic could defeat him, right?"
"Nope, I beat him on my own." Blueblood said simply before he returned to eating.
"...Can we... Can we enter your dream tonight? Have you show us how you did it."
"Sure, Just knock before entering, and I will be censoring a bunch of stuff I want to remain private, but I can show you how I did it." Blueblood told her.
"Cool~" Luna said as the two royals returned to eating their lunch.

Outside the borders of Equestria, Sitting on the crumbling throne of an ancient and abandoned castle, A Queen counted down the days until her masterful plan would come to fruition.
She needed to be precise, she needed the pieces to be in place, and most importantly, she needed to win.
"28 days remaining... Hehehehehe..."
In 28 Days, Queen Chrysalis will enact her plan to become Perfection Itself.
