Lydia got up as early as possible so she could see the master as he had requested last night. She was kinda tensed and didn't like the way he stared at her, it always sent chills down her spine but what could she do, she's his maid after all.
She greeted Karen as always and stroded down to Luther's chamber with her cleaning tools. She always wondered why mother didn't instruct her to clean the other rooms in the chamber, she tried opening one but it was locked? What is he hiding?
She was about to knock on the master's room door when Dimitri suddenly blocked her way and dragged her out to the garden.
He was smiling weirdly with his eyes open half way.
" What's wrong with you Dimitri, let go perv" Lydia squealed under his hard grip and forcefully pulled her wrist away.
She hissed and rubbed her wrists which now had Dimitri's hand prints which were now red.
She stared at him from head to toe multiple times and couldn't help but notice how he was fidgeting.
"It's for your own good", he grunted and rubbed his nape and smiled pitifully at her.
What Is he talking about?
" Dimitri I'm supposed to be working early, why did you stop me from going in?", Lydia was fuming with anger.
Dimitri's eyes suddenly went dark and his gaze looked poisonous and sent daggers to her throat. She suddenly went quiet.
He shifted his gaze from her and sat down on the wooden bench in front of the fountain with a squeezed forehead, he looked upset. Luther's private chamber was at the back of the mansion which was enough privacy. He also had a room in the main mansion so he loved to sleep wherever he liked.
"I'm sorry, it's just that the master has a guest", he looked up at the sky, the sun wasn't fully out yet and it was beautiful.
"Why didn't you just say so? I'm sorry I was throwing a tantrum, I didn't know", Lydia sat by his side and rested her arm on his shoulder. His strong muscular shoulder moved up and down under her arm as he heaved a sigh.
Dimitri stared at her. His gaze showed he had never seen such beauty. A different beauty than that he has ever set his eyes upon.
"It's ok", he said bluntly and looked away Trying not to get distracted. No one had ever made Dimitri feel this way in all the 19 years of his life. He had never had goose bumps under a girl's touch before then why would a foreigner be doing that to him.
" But what did you mean by it's for my own good?" She asked.
Dimitri went silent. He didn't realize when he blurted that out.
Lydia started to think of the possibilities that her head would have been served to the master in a plate made with gold if she had opened the door like that.
She was squealing silently when her words were interrupted by the sound of Dimitri's delightful laugh. She forgot he read minds and he heard everything she thought to her self.
Her face immediately went hot like an iron was placed on it, she was embarrassed.
" You really should calm down on your thoughts though, too young to be thinking that far".
"Death doesn't look at age Dimitri", she pouted and looked away.
Dimitri laughed again.
"By the way, how old are you Dimitri?", she stared at him not realizing how close she was to him.
Dimitri blushed but used a "clearing the throat" technique to divert the attention from his face.
"19", he rubbed his nape.
"Woaw, so young, your body says otherwise", Lydia grabbed his thick muscular qrm and used her thumbs to press them down continiosly like it was a toy.
"And you're 16, your body also says otherwise" he looked down at her and rubbed her neatly tied hair which was in a bun.
She turned away from him obviously embarrassed.
"Annoying", she punched his arm and yelped In pain Instead. Did she expect such a muscular figure to feel pain from such a frail punch. He smiled slightly and stood up quickly as his smile faded.
He felt a sense of awareness, someone was watching them. He knew that gaze very well. Lydia stood up and looked at him, he was sweating so much. He was nervous. Why?
"Well hello", Luther's thick voice boomed into their ears as he walked out to meet them in his garden. Lydia was startled by his voice and presence. His stern look felt like a hot iron on her skin. He was so sneaky and that terrified her. He was so quiet and she's wondered "what if I'm having a bath one day and he walks in, I wouldn't know, he's so sneaky", she squealed inwards.
The two men in her midst turned and stared at her. She then remembered they read minds. What's this madness?
"Good morning mas...", she bowed.
"Shhhh", he cut her short of her words and walked towards Dimitri,he looked nervous and his hands were already dripping with sweat.
'Is the master that scary? If Dimitri is so scared then am I not supposed to be scared', once again she forgot they read minds but surprisingly no one turned to look at her.
Luther stared at Dimitri with a dark glare like Dimitri had committed a felony. Dimitri's gaze was low but he looks scared which left Lydia in great confusion.
"You know what I said about touching what's mine" Luther said quietly through his teeth, Dimitri trembled more, his breath unstable.
Lydia started at the master In greater confusion. What's his? What's he even talking about? Am I involved in this situation? Why does master look angry?
"Yes master, I'm sorry master", Dimitri bowed.
Luther nodded and turned his hard gaze to Lydia which turned soft immediately his eyes met hers.
" You, my room now", he said harshly, Lydia shrieked and walked as fast as she could. Luther watched her walk away into the chamber before continuing his conversation with Dimitri.
"Dimitri, you're my finest guard, don't make do what I'll regret, stay away from her", he said with a poisonous gaze.
Dimitri nodded and bowed deeply.
Lydia was busy cleaning the room with her mind still troubled. She wondered why the master was upset and what he said was his.
The door opened and Lydia froze in place for a moment due to fear. The heals of his shoes made a knocking sound when he walked in.
She turned back slowly to see where he was, only to see him right behind her, she shrieked and fell on the couch which she was dusting.
He tilted his head and stared at her with those dark eyes again. What was his problem? Lydia was unsure.
She stood up quickly and bowed.
He walked to her back and leaned closer to her ear, his hot breath sent shivers down her spine.
"What were you doing with Dimitri?"
His coarse voice brushed her eardrum. Her breathing accelerated due to the sudden burst of fear that was unlocked.
" Nothing master. When I came to the room earlier, he told me you had a guest and I shouldn't disturb you", Lydia defended.
"Did he touch you?" Luther took down her bun and ruffled her hair.
" No master, he didn't", she said trying her possible best to stay in place. She was tempted to run away from him but she was scared of the consequences. What if he cut her head and ate it.
"I would never eat your head Lydia", he said softly into her ears and played with her hair before laying down on his bed which Lydia had dressed in a hurry.
Lydia moved to put her hair which Luther had messed up in a bun again but was stopped by his coarse voice.
" Don't you dare", her hands dropped from her hair immediately.
She quickly continued her work but was uncomfortable because she could feel his gaze on her which she was didn't like much.
"Move to my chamber today", he instructed after she was doing cleaning.
"Clean out the room opposite mine now and move your things in, make sure you're moved in before night"
Lydia was terrorized. His chamber? She knew no one was allowed into his chamber except Dimitri. The only time anyone comes in is when they're instructed to do so. This means she won't be able to see the other maids and Karen much except when she wants to serve his meals.
'This is terrible', she thought to her self and bowed before attempting to leave his room with a sad face.
" Smile" he instructed, she threw out a fake smile and closed the door behind her.
Luther sighed deeply and walked into his bathroom to take a bath while Lydia cleaned the room opposite his with a devasted look on her face.
