Chapter 178 - Pepe Vs Ritsuka

Ritsuka looked at Pepe and pulled out Albion. "Very well then, let's start."

With a burst of speed, Ritsuka moved in for an attack. Pepe swiftly dodged, but Ritsuka's sword sent out a wave of Amaterasu, the black flames roaring toward Pepe. He conjured a shield of white light to block the flames. Before Pepe could react, Ritsuka appeared behind him, slamming his leg down, covered in light. Pepe blocked with his hand, but then delivered a swift punch to Ritsuka's gut, sending him flying back.

Ritsuka gritted his teeth, getting back on his feet. As his hand touched the ground, millions of shadow arms erupted, reaching to envelop Pepe. But before they could, Pepe summoned a blinding blast of pure light, obliterating the shadow arms. Ritsuka narrowed his eyes and quickly switched tactics, summoning Surya's Arrows, black arrows forged from Amaterasu flames, firing them toward Pepe. He dodged at the last second, moving at an incredible speed.

Meanwhile, Kadoc charged forward, only to be intercepted by Ashwathama, their fire and ice colliding in a fierce struggle. Anastasia joined Kadoc to help, summoning her freezing winds to counter Ashwathama's fiery onslaught.

Mash, wielding her Mode Shift Spear, clashed with Lakshmibai, their weapons sparking with each blow. Nezha, not far behind, was engaged in a three-on-one battle against Kama, Aozaki, and Mash.

In the distance, more monsters began to flood the battlefield, but Bhima and Arjuna swiftly took charge, tearing through the horde with their respective weapons.

The clash between Ritsuka and Pepe was relentless, each move countered and retaliated with deadly precision. As the fight raged on, the tension mounted. Ritsuka's group fought valiantly, but Pepe's angelic form and the combined strength of his Servants made him a formidable opponent. This battle was far from over.

Pepe floated in the sky, his wings shimmering with celestial light. "Ritsuka, tell me, do you know about the anime Overlord?"

Ritsuka, momentarily confused by the shift in topic amidst the chaos, responded, "Yeah, why?"

Pepe smirked, his eyes glinting with a mix of amusement and menace. "This spell will be a bit of a shocker. 'Come forth from the heavens and beyond! Strike down the enemy before me! Fallen down.'"

Ritsuka's eyes widened as he processed the incantation. "Oh for the love of everything, why do you have that?"

Pepe's spell unleashed a massive beam of blue energy that ripped through the sky, obliterating clouds and causing a catastrophic shockwave. The spell ravaged a fifth of the battlefield, shaking the ground and sending debris flying. Ritsuka swiftly reacted, pulling his entire team into his shadow pocket to protect them from the destructive force.

As the spell dissipated, Ritsuka and his team emerged from the shadow pocket, dust and debris swirling around them. They regrouped, their expressions a mix of shock and determination.

Ritsuka glared up at Pepe. "Okay, what the hell are you trying to do, kill everyone?"

Pepe floated down with an air of nonchalance. "You tried to use Amaterasu on me. Consider this a bit of payback."

Ritsuka sighed, resigned. "Fair enough."

Kadoc, still trying to process the magnitude of the attack, shook his head in disbelief. "How the hell was that even possible?"

Pepe's eyes gleamed with satisfaction. "It's a spell from the Overlord universe. It's capable of massive destruction. You see, even in our world, some abilities and spells can cross over from different realms."

The team regrouped, their resolve steeled. Despite the overwhelming odds and the spectacle of Pepe's power, they knew they had to press on. The battle was far from over, and they would need to adapt quickly if they hoped to overcome their formidable opponent.

Ritsuka stood firm, gripping Albion as his aura flared. "Alright, enough messing around. Let's finish this!"

With a burst of speed, Ritsuka charged forward. His sword ignited with Amaterasu, black flames crackling along the blade as he swung it with lethal precision. Pepe barely dodged, the flames grazing his wings, sending flickers of black fire trailing behind him.

"Persistent, aren't you?" Pepe muttered, summoning another shield of holy light as he countered with a flurry of radiant energy blasts.

Ritsuka sidestepped each blast with a blur of movement, his eyes glowing with focus. Sun Dash carried him from point to point, making him a near-impossible target to hit. He appeared behind Pepe, aiming to strike at his blind spot, but Pepe twisted just in time, their blades clashing mid-air.

The ground below quaked from the sheer force of their battle, shockwaves rippling outward.

Meanwhile, Kadoc and Ashwatthama were locked in a brutal melee. Kadoc, in his Infinite Ice form, created an ice storm around him, freezing the ground and lashing out with massive shards of ice. Ashwatthama met him blow for blow, his fire-infused strikes melting through the ice as they collided in a whirlwind of elemental fury.

"You'll have to do better than that, Kadoc!" Ashwatthama growled, his eyes glowing with rage.

Kadoc smirked, his icy claws forming around his fists. "Don't worry, I've got plenty more tricks." He raised his hands, conjuring a massive ice beast from the ground, a towering creature that charged straight at Ashwatthama with a deafening roar.

On the other side of the battlefield, Mash was fighting both Lakshmibai and Nezha. Her Mode Shift transformation gave her an edge, but the two servants were relentless. Lakshmibai darted forward, her blade glowing with divine energy, aiming straight for Mash's heart. Mash blocked with her spear, the clash of weapons echoing like thunder.

"You're strong, Mash," Lakshmibai admitted, her voice cold and steady. "But strength alone won't win this."

"I don't intend to rely just on strength!" Mash retorted, deflecting the next blow and spinning her spear with deadly precision. Nezha lunged at her from the side, twin tails whipping through the air, her staff crackling with electricity. Mash barely managed to block, but the impact sent her skidding back.

Kama joined the fray, her bow glowing with demonic energy. "I'll handle Nezha!" She fired off a barrage of cursed arrows, each one homing in on Nezha with unerring accuracy. Nezha deflected a few with her staff, but one managed to slip through, grazing her shoulder and causing her to stumble.

Aozaki meanwhile summoned a massive rune circle beneath Lakshmibai. "Time to slow things down." The rune glowed bright as magical chains erupted from the ground, wrapping around Lakshmibai and slowing her movements.

"Damned mages!" Lakshmibai cursed, struggling to free herself.

With her enemies distracted, Mash seized the opportunity, charging forward with her spear aimed at Lakshmibai's chest.

Meanwhile, Ritsuka and Pepe were still locked in an intense duel. Ritsuka's shadow arms erupted from the ground, trying to bind Pepe, but Pepe's angelic wings flared, burning the shadows away with holy light.

"You can't win, Ritsuka," Pepe said, his voice steady and confident. "I've mastered my transformation. Angel Drive makes me invincible in this state."

Ritsuka narrowed his eyes, gritting his teeth. "We'll see about that."

He summoned his Surya's Arrow, pulling back on his bow as black flames swirled around the arrow. Pepe's eyes widened in surprise as the arrow shot toward him, the sheer heat distorting the air around it. Pepe raised his hands, forming another shield of holy light, but the arrow pierced through, shattering the shield and striking him in the shoulder.

"Impossible!" Pepe gasped, his wings faltering for a moment. He coughed up blood, clutching his shoulder as the flames of Amaterasu spread across his body.

Ritsuka pressed the advantage, closing the distance. He raised Albion, preparing for the final blow. But before he could strike, a blinding light engulfed Pepe, and he burst forward with newfound speed, slamming into Ritsuka and sending him crashing into the ground.

As Ritsuka struggled to rise, Pepe descended slowly, his wings radiating with renewed power. "You're strong, Ritsuka, but this is the end."

Suddenly, Jack the Ripper and Edmond Dantès burst out of the shadows, attacking Pepe from behind. Jack's blades sliced at Pepe's wings while Edmond's chains wrapped around his body, pulling him down.

"Not yet!" Ritsuka shouted, standing tall. He summoned Amaterasu, coating Albion in black flames one final time.

With a surge of power, Ritsuka dashed forward, slashing at Pepe's weakened form. Pepe screamed as the black flames consumed him, and with one final strike, Ritsuka drove Albion into Pepe's chest, unleashing the full force of Amaterasu.

Pepe's body glowed with holy light before finally fell down, his transformation finally over

Ritsuka then looker at him. "Ok you made for a better fight them Dushasana... Some how.

Pepe got up and looked at him. "So I gess I owe all of you answer"

Ritsuka just looked at Pepe. "That and how did you do a Fallen Down".

Pepe looked at him. "Will simple, I just used the powers the alien God gave me in my Angel shift, a few destruction mage crafts, Light Mage craft spell, Explosion Mage craft and a few more".

Everyone then looked at Ritsuka, who was nodding his head, as they felt a dread down there spine Releasing that Ritsuka is going to make his one Verison of Fallen Down.

The entire group froze, a collective shiver running down their spines as they noticed Ritsuka's expression. His eyes were gleaming with that unmistakable look—one that meant he had just come up with a new, terrifying idea.

Kadoc groaned, rubbing his temples. "Oh no... I can already feel the headaches coming."

Ophelia glanced at him nervously. "You don't think he's really going to try and create something like Fallen Down, do you?"

Kama rolled her eyes. "Of course he is. It's Ritsuka. He probably sees this as a fun challenge."

Mash sighed, already anticipating the madness. "Senpai, please don't overdo it… again."

Ritsuka was still nodding, deep in thought, clearly ignoring their concerns. "So, combining destruction magecraft with Light Magecraft, and adding a touch of explosion techniques… Yeah, I think I could make it more focused, and probably more devastating if I layer it with shadow manipulation and Amaterasu."

Pepe chuckled, brushing off the ash on his wings. "You're really something, Fujimaru. I'm almost tempted to stick around and see how that works out for you."

Ritsuka grinned at Pepe. "You should. After all, you owe us some answers."

Pepe sighed, his usual playful tone turning more serious. "Alright, a deal's a deal. I'll tell you everything. First off, the Kuravas... There are only a handful left, but the ones still standing are the strongest. Each has absorbed a different god, and that's what makes them dangerous. Duryodhana's already fused with Indra, which makes him nearly untouchable."

Ritsuka's expression hardened. "Indra? That's not good."

Pepe nodded gravely. "No, it's not. Indra's power alone is enough to wreak havoc, but Duryodhana is planning something even bigger. The other Kuravas are gathering more divine energy, preparing for a final assault. That's why I've been staying out of sight. I needed time to prepare, to find out their plans."

Mash stepped forward, gripping her spear tightly. "Do we know where they are?"

Pepe shook his head. "Not yet. They're hiding, moving between dimensions and using divine barriers to shield themselves. But I have a lead. There's a temple dedicated to an ancient god not far from here. It's said that the Kuravas have been sighted nearby. If we can find that temple, we might be able to locate their stronghold."

Ritsuka narrowed his eyes, determination burning within him. "Then that's our next destination. We need to end this before they grow any stronger."

The rest of the team nodded in agreement, the tension still thick in the air despite the victory they had just won. The battle had taken its toll on them, but there was no time to rest. The fight with the Kuravas was far from over, and the next stage of their journey promised to be even more perilous.

Pepe glanced at Ritsuka one last time, a sly smile returning to his face. "Good luck with your version of Fallen Down. Just try not to blow up the entire battlefield next time."

Ritsuka chuckled, already running calculations in his mind for his new spell. "No promises."

Pepe then spoke. "And then there is Limbo"

Ritsuka just sighed. "Oh why must it be him".

Pepe looked at him. "You meet him before, anyway he gave them a cube"

Ritsuka rubbed his temples in frustration. "Of course it's Limbo. It just had to be him."

Pepe nodded, his expression more serious now. "Yeah, that weird fucker doesn't know when to stay out of things. He's always meddling. Anyway, he gave the Kuravas a cube. I'm not entirely sure what it is, but I know it's dangerous."

Mash tilted her head, curious. "A cube? What kind of power does it hold?"

Pepe crossed his arms, thinking. "I don't know exactly, but Limbo called it something like 'The Divine Catalyst.' From what I gathered, it's supposed to amplify divine powers tenfold—essentially making the Kuravas even more unstoppable. Whatever gods they've absorbed will be magnified by that cube's power."

Ritsuka groaned. "Great. As if dealing with Indra-powered Duryodhana wasn't bad enough, now they've got some overpowered artifact on their side too."

Kadoc, standing nearby, looked more pale than usual. "Limbo always has a flair for the dramatic. What else is new?"

Ophelia, still recovering from the intensity of the previous battle, clenched her fists. "We can't let them use that cube, Ritsuka. If what Pepe's saying is true, the Kuravas will be unstoppable with it."

Pepe took a sip from his tea, still trying to maintain some level of casual composure. "Well, the good news is they haven't figured out how to activate it. The bad news is, they're working on it. If we're going to stop them, we have to move fast."

Ritsuka looked around at his companions, all of them clearly weary but ready to keep fighting. He sighed heavily but nodded. "Then we'll have to intercept them before they figure out how to use that cube. No rest for the weary, huh?"

Kama floated closer, her expression smug. "You love it, don't lie."

Ritsuka smirked back at her, then turned to the group. "Alright, let's move out. If Limbo's involved, we can't afford to take this lightly. Pepe, lead the way to that temple you mentioned."

Pepe stood up, brushing off his robes. "You got it. Just be ready for more surprises—Limbo's never one to play fair."

As the group prepared to leave, Ritsuka glanced one more time at the sky, the weight of their mission pressing down on him. The Kuravas, Limbo, and now this mysterious cube—it felt like everything was escalating faster than they could keep up.

But there was no turning back now. The final battle was approaching, and Ritsuka was determined to finish it on his own terms.
