Chapter 126 - after Math

BB looked at Edmond and Muramasa with curiosity etched on her face. "Okay, where have you two been?"

Edmond glanced at her, his expression serious. "Captured in a pocket dimension within the moon cell."

Ritsuka's eyes widened in surprise. "Then how did you guys escape?"

Muramasa adjusted his sword thoughtfully. "It wasn't easy. We managed to sever our connection to the moon cell and break free using a technique I devised specifically for such contingencies."

BB nodded, processing the information. "Impressive. And you just happened to arrive at the perfect moment to turn the tide against Other Ritsuka."

Edmond smirked. "Luck favors the prepared, as they say."

Ritsuka sighed in relief, grateful for their unexpected rescue. "Thank you both. We wouldn't have made it without your help."

Muramasa nodded in acknowledgment. "We're all in this together. Now, let's head back to Chaldea and regroup. There's still much to discuss."

With their questions partially answered and their spirits lifted by their victory, the group prepared to leave the moon cell behind, their minds buzzing with thoughts of what lay ahead.

Ritsuka's announcement sparked a flurry of activity among the group as they gathered around to see the blue holographic screen materialize. On it appeared familiar faces: Mash, Da Vinci, Olga, Romani, Sion, Goredolf, Nemo, Sherlock, Kadoc, Anastasia, and a host of other servants.

Mash smiled warmly, relieved to hear from Ritsuka. "Senpai! We've been trying to reach you. Are you alright?"

Da Vinci chimed in with her characteristic enthusiasm. "Good to see you're safe, Ritsuka. What's your status?"

Romani appeared concerned yet relieved. "We've been tracking your progress as best we can from here. It's good to finally establish contact."

Sion, Goredolf, and Nemo exchanged looks of relief and concern mixed together. Kadoc and Anastasia also looked on, curious about the developments on Ritsuka's end.

Ritsuka nodded, reassured by their presence. "We're okay, thanks to Muramasa and Edmond. We've made it through some tough challenges here in the moon cell."

Olga, appearing on the screen, looked stern. "Be careful, Ritsuka. The moon cell isn't something to underestimate."

Ritsuka nodded gravely. "Understood. We'll proceed cautiously. Any updates from Chaldea?"

Sherlock, leaning forward with interest, spoke up. "Indeed, there have been developments on our end as well. Let's synchronize our information once you're back."

With communications restored, the group in the moon cell and those at Chaldea began exchanging critical information, preparing for the next phase of their mission to safeguard humanity's future.

As the group returned to Chaldea, Ritsuka took a moment to gather everyone in the command room. The atmosphere was tense yet relieved after their ordeal in the moon cell.

Ritsuka gathered everyone around in Chaldea's command center, his voice steady despite the fatigue evident in his eyes. "It took everything we had. Muramasa and Edmond showed up just in time, freed from some pocket dimension within the Moon Cell. Together, we unleashed..."

He paused, taking a breath before continuing, "We faced a godlike version of myself. It was relentless, using powers beyond anything I've seen before. But with everyone's help..."

BB interjected, her voice firm, "We managed to turn the tide."

Ritsuka nodded, grateful for their support. "Exactly. And then, we made contact with Chaldea again." He gestured to the holographic screen displaying Mash, Da Vinci, Olga, Romani, and the others.

As the group listened intently, Ophelia spoke up, her tone incredulous, "So you're telling me you fought a god version of yourself within the Moon Cell?"

Ritsuka nodded again, a sense of relief mingling with the weight of what they had just experienced. "That's right. It was... intense."

Ritsuka took a deep breath, the weight of their recent battle still lingering in the air. "We've faced some tough challenges before, but that... that was something else entirely."

BB nodded, her expression serious. "Yeah, dealing with a version of you that powerful... it's unsettling."

Altera crossed her arms, her gaze distant. "That version of you claimed to be the 'god' of the Moon Cell. A distorted perception, but its power was real."

Muramasa stepped forward, his sword gleaming in the light of Chaldea. "Fortunately, we managed to sever its connection. Now, the Moon Cell needs to be safeguarded more than ever."

Edmond leaned against a console, his demeanor cautious. "We must ensure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands again. The consequences could be catastrophic."

Ritsuka glanced at the people in Chaldea's command center. "Our first priority is stabilizing the Moon Cell and preventing any further incidents. Then we'll decide its future."

Mash adjusted her glasses, her voice determined. "We're ready to assist in any way we can, Senpai. Chaldea stands united on this."

Da Vinci nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely! With everyone's expertise and resources, we'll make sure the Moon Cell remains a force for good."

Romani, deep in thought, voiced his concerns. "We need to be vigilant. There could be other threats lurking within the Moon Cell."

Ritsuka clenched his fists. "Then let's get started. There's no time to waste."

As Ritsuka was in room, he was thinking about th days event and what had happened as then his door opens as Mash walked in

Mash just looked at Ritsuka. Senpai is everything ok

Ritsuka just looked at her. Just thinking on what that other version of me said

Ritsuka sighed softly, his thoughts still tangled in the aftermath of the encounter with his other self in the Moon Cell. "It's just... what he said about being a 'god' and all that power. It's unsettling."

Mash stepped closer, concern etched on her features. "You're not doubting yourself, are you, Senpai?"

Ritsuka shook his head. "No, not exactly. It's more like... wondering about the choices we've made, the paths we've taken. Did we really have to face such a distorted version of myself?"

Mash placed a comforting hand on Ritsuka's shoulder. "We did what we had to do. You did what you had to do. That's why we're here, to protect humanity and preserve order."

Ritsuka smiled faintly, grateful for Mash's reassurance. "Thanks, Mash. I guess it's just part of the job, dealing with these kinds of challenges."

Mash nodded, her resolve firm. "We'll face whatever comes our way together, Senpai. That's what makes us stronger."

Ritsuka nodded, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. "You're right, Mash. Let's focus on the tasks ahead and keep moving forward."

As they both prepared to leave the room, Ritsuka couldn't help but feel a sense of determination. Despite the challenges and uncertainties, he knew they were ready for whatever awaited them next in their journey.

Ritsuka then just looked at Mash. I just thinkning of another thing he did he was srhe Verison of me from before the reset, but why was he like so hateful, so angry, so much not like me, was I like that before the reset, heck I can't even get answer to that is because no one but me and Edmond remember the reset, so I am wondering what was I like I didn't had these power, these mage craft, these crystal stuck to my arm

Mash listened attentively, understanding the weight of Ritsuka's reflections. "Senpai, before the reset, you were different. You didn't have the powers or experiences you do now. But that doesn't mean you were like that other version of you. We all change and grow through our experiences."

Ritsuka nodded thoughtfully. "You're right, Mash. It's just hard not knowing. Sometimes I feel like I'm carrying the burden of a past I can't fully remember."

Mash gently squeezed Ritsuka's hand. "You've always been kind, determined, and brave, Senpai. That hasn't changed. Whatever you were like before, it doesn't define who you are now."

Ritsuka smiled gratefully at Mash's comforting words. "Thanks, Mash. I needed to hear that."

As they stood together, a sense of camaraderie and resolve filled the room. Ritsuka knew that while his past might be a mystery, his journey forward with Mash and the others would continue to shape who he was meant to become.

Ritsuka was shown in the training room, in his god shift as he was with Ophelia as she was on her Break drive as she them sent Ritsuka flying

Ophelia just looked at her boyfriend/Childhood friends. Are you ok you seem to be not fouces on the training today Ritsuka

Ritsuka shook his head slightly, readjusting himself after the impact. "Yeah, sorry about that, Ophelia. My mind's just been elsewhere today."

Ophelia stepped closer, concern evident in her eyes. "Is it about what happened with your other self in the Moon Cell?"

Ritsuka nodded, rubbing his neck. "Yeah, it's been on my mind a lot. Seeing that version of me, so different and filled with anger... It's unsettling."

Ophelia placed a reassuring hand on Ritsuka's shoulder. "Remember, that wasn't you. You've grown so much since then."

Ritsuka sighed, appreciating Ophelia's support. "I know, but it's hard not knowing who I was before Chaldea, before all of this."

Ophelia smiled softly. "Maybe not knowing is a chance to define yourself now, in the present. You've become a leader, a protector. That's what matters."

Ritsuka nodded, feeling a sense of resolve. "Thanks, Ophelia. I needed that perspective."

As they resumed their training, Ritsuka focused on the present, knowing that understanding his past would come with time, and that his journey with Ophelia and the others in Chaldea continued to shape his future.

Ritsuka continued to spar with Ophelia, the rhythmic clash of their abilities echoing through the training room. Despite his initial distraction, he gradually found himself more attuned to the combat, each move becoming instinctual as he responded to Ophelia's attacks with precision.

Ophelia noticed the change in Ritsuka's demeanor, his focus sharpening with each exchange. "You're getting better at this," she remarked, parrying a series of strikes from Ritsuka.

He nodded, a determined look in his eyes. "I can't afford to be distracted, especially not now. There's too much at stake."

Ophelia mirrored his seriousness, acknowledging the weight of their responsibilities. "It's a tough job, but you're handling it well. Not many could bear the burden of what we face."

As they continued, their movements became a dance of practiced skill and mutual understanding. Ritsuka's thoughts drifted briefly to his recent encounters in the Moon Cell, the challenges and revelations that had tested his resolve.

"I wonder," Ritsuka began, pausing momentarily as he blocked a strike from Ophelia, "if there's more to uncover about my past. Something that might explain why that other version of me was so different."

Ophelia considered his words, deflecting a swift counterattack. "Perhaps," she replied thoughtfully, "but what matters most is who you are now. Your strength, your compassion—that's what defines you."

They sparred in silence for a while longer, the training session serving not just as physical practice but as a moment of introspection for Ritsuka. Each move, each decision made in combat, reflected his growth and determination.

After a particularly intense exchange, Ophelia stepped back, a faint smile on her face. "You're improving, Ritsuka. Keep pushing forward. The answers will come in time."

Ritsuka nodded gratefully, catching his breath. "Thanks, Ophelia. I appreciate your support."

As they left the training room, Ritsuka felt a renewed sense of purpose. The mysteries of his past lingered, but with the strength of his friends and allies, he knew he could face whatever challenges lay ahead in their ongoing battle to protect humanity and unravel the secrets of the Moon Cell.

Ritsuka stood in Aozaki's training room, surrounded by an array of puppets and intricate mechanisms. Despite his proficiency in various magecraft disciplines, puppet magecraft proved to be his ongoing challenge. Aozaki, his mentor renowned for this particular art, observed with a mix of patience and amusement as Ritsuka struggled.

Aozaki adjusted her glasses, her expression a blend of encouragement and gentle teasing. "Remember, Ritsuka, mastery over puppet magecraft requires finesse and precision. It's not just about raw power."

Ritsuka nodded, focusing intently as he attempted to manipulate the strings controlling a puppet's movements. His concentration was evident, beads of sweat forming on his forehead as he tried to synchronize his movements with the puppet's.

"Almost there," Aozaki remarked, her voice calm yet expectant. "You've got the theory down, now it's about syncing your mana flow with the puppet's responses."

Ritsuka gritted his teeth in determination, adjusting his stance and channeling his mana more fluidly. Slowly, the puppet began to mimic his gestures more accurately, a testament to his growing proficiency.

"That's it," Aozaki encouraged, her eyes brightening with approval. "You're starting to get the hang of it. Precision and timing—those are the keys."

Despite his progress, Ritsuka couldn't help but feel a pang of frustration at the intricacies of puppet magecraft. It was a constant reminder of the challenges he faced in mastering every aspect of his abilities.

"Sorry, Sensei," Ritsuka said, shaking his head slightly. "I thought I had it that time."

Aozaki chuckled softly, her demeanor warm and reassuring. "Don't be too hard on yourself. Magecraft isn't learned overnight, especially not puppet magecraft. It takes time and dedication."

They continued their training into the afternoon, Aozaki offering guidance and Ritsuka persistently honing his skills. Despite the occasional setbacks, there was a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect between teacher and student, each learning from the other in their pursuit of greater knowledge and proficiency.

Aozaki regarded Ritsuka with a glint of amusement in her eyes, her expression a mix of encouragement and pride in her own achievements.

"Come on, kid, you can do it. It's easy," she reassured him, her voice carrying the confidence of someone who had mastered their craft.

Ritsuka met her gaze, a hint of frustration evident in his features. "Easy for you to say. You've mastered it to a level beyond anything. There's a saying in the mage community that magecraft can create an automaton with the spark of humanity."

Aozaki's smirk widened, her pride showing through. "Yup, and guess who proved them all wrong."

She gestured towards the intricate puppetry around them, where lifelike automatons moved with grace and nuance, each crafted with a complexity that defied conventional wisdom. Aozaki had indeed pushed the boundaries of magecraft, achieving feats that many deemed impossible.

Ritsuka couldn't help but admire her determination and skill. Despite his initial frustrations, he found himself inspired by Aozaki's example. If she could challenge the norms and excel in ways others thought unattainable, then perhaps he too could overcome his current hurdles in puppet magecraft.

"Alright," Ritsuka said, steeling himself with newfound resolve. "Let's give it another try."

Aozaki nodded approvingly, her smirk softening into a supportive smile. "That's the spirit. Remember, it's not just about technique. It's about infusing your mana with intent, giving life to your creations."

With Aozaki's guidance and his renewed determination, Ritsuka dove back into his training. The hours passed swiftly as he focused on refining his control and synchronizing his mana flow with the intricate mechanisms of puppet magecraft. Each attempt brought him closer to mastering the art that had eluded him thus far.

As they continued their training late into the evening, the sound of gears and faint whispers of mana filled the air around them. Ritsuka's progress was slow but steady, a testament to his perseverance and the mentorship of someone who had shattered expectations time and again.

By the time they finished for the night, Ritsuka felt a sense of accomplishment tinged with exhaustion. He had made significant strides, thanks to Aozaki's guidance and his own determination to push beyond his limits.

"Thanks, Sensei," Ritsuka said gratefully, wiping sweat from his brow. "I think I'm starting to get the hang of it."

Aozaki nodded, her expression proud yet thoughtful. "You're getting there, kid. Just remember, every challenge is an opportunity to grow stronger."

With those words of encouragement echoing in his mind, Ritsuka left the training room, his thoughts now focused on the new heights he could achieve in mastering puppet magecraft.
