Chapter 17 - Black Thunderbolt (I)

Immediately Glade aimed his palm forward, operating the Dragon-Shadow Variant Fire Evocation, a wide, rampaging stream of dreadfully imposing, diabolical aberrant flame–one that was thirty feet wide, fifty feet long, and twelve feet high; starting from the point at which it discharged from his palm, suddenly erupted with seemingly boundless wrath from his hand and traveled into the far distance with an astonishingly high velocity. It was simply like a raging, colossal tide that sought to reduce everything in its path and far beyond to nothing.

This uniquely and uncommonly-attributed flame—as it was a crimson, violet, and grey-spotted, golden-boundary obsidian-black fire, was tremendously hot that the air in front of it—for fifty feet into the distance that it raged to like an earth-sundering flood, immediately burned off. The flame simply radiated and invoked the feeling that it was the strongest, wildest, and most destructive savage flame in the world.

"Wow!!" Glade who was massively surprised by the fire-bound attack he put out, exclaimed with great shock in his eyes. He couldn't believe it.

Then he looked into the distance and saw that a long stretch of air—about fifty feet before him, had become a wide, pitch-black vacuum, simply implying that everything caught within the path of the exceptionally-characterized fire stream had completely burned off to remain nothing. The air, moisture, dust particles, radiations, and possibly small pockets of energy that were possibly present in the atmosphere, had been entirely burned off to nothingness.

"Amazing." Glade said with great shock in his eyes. He still couldn't believe that the first Blessing he would possess, was one that was this tremendously destructive. Then he began to wonder how he didn't kill his parents and siblings, or burned down the house as well as them to cinders and smoking crisps.

Just the fear of that alone caused him to be massively alarmed and frightened. Imagine it had happened that way. He simply couldn't think of the other events that would have taken place after that.

After exhaling a deep relieving sigh, releasing the intense negative feeling that suddenly fully embraced him because of his mind-twisting thought of inadvertently annihilating his loving parents and cute, affectionate siblings, he proceeded to practice more, aiming to get the anomalous fire stream under his total manipulation so that he would be able to finely control it—to the point of shooting heavily compacted, line-thin rays of precisely destructive flame at opponents.

Why he chose to cool himself and eliminate the gloomy feeling that had unexpectedly surfaced in his heart, was because if he should discharge or release his peculiar fire in that bleak state, it could impact the quality, quantity, and potency of the flame, where it could possibly develop devilish or malevolent characteristics, destroying things that he wouldn't want it. He had to be careful with the use of this kind of Blessing endowment so as not to cause unnecessary or unwanted destruction.

...

After long hours of thoughtful practice, where the atmosphere in the region had become a vast, pitch-black vacuum zone, Glade who was wondering if the atmosphere would ever recover, immediately moved away to find another place to practice.

At the moment, all the towering trees, grasses and vegetations in the region had become ashes. This was because they instantly gutted on the special fire produced by Glade's rare, unstoppable-flame-evoking Blessing.

Although he was immensely glad at the outstanding and marveling attributes possessed by the flame, he however wasn't really happy. After three long hours of intense, vigorous practice, fully destroying the wilderness and the atmosphere in the area, he had gotten nothing down. It was like the flame was foundationally uncontrollable.

"I don't believe that. Sooner or later, you will bend to my will. I am your master and you are a thoughtless, insensate servant made to completely serve me, you frigging stubborn flame." Glade said as he walked far away to find another place to practice.

After walking for about thirty-seven minutes, he finally arrived before a surprisingly large lake and settled down, closing his eyes to calm himself and feel the wind. He simply wanted to relax his mind.

Since he couldn't get the fire one down—as it was insanely difficult, he would try it with the second Blessing that was revealed to him at the age of five too, but at a later time. This was the Black Lightning Storm Generation.

Immediately he thought of the Blessing, a massive, roiling dark-black cloud suddenly appeared behind him.

This frightening, loudly thundering cloud—which was several meters wide and high, had booming and deeply rumbling thunderbolts rampantly blast out from it, despite being unreal—it was only an illusion, which would however cause one to feel that perhaps the line between real and unreal had been blurred.

It felt corporeal, like it had substance, and at the same time, intangible, as if it wasn't composed of true substance and could therefore be likened for an otherworldly ghostly cloud that was enigmatic in form and incessantly pealed in a fierce and intimidating manner.

Immediately this cloud surfaced behind him and emitted those terrifying, blood-chilling and eardrum-shattering booms—which surprisingly didn't affect him in any way, the lake before him rippled violently that it began to froth all over.

Also, the earth surrounding the lake tremendously shook whenever the booms rang out, quivering intensely that it felt like a large assemblage of towering, massive giants were indignantly stomping against the ground with the exceeding malicious intent of destroying it, imposing great damages upon it.

Glade looked at the enormous, thunderously rumbling and drumming cloud behind him, and then its tremendous impact on the earth around him and couldn't help but shake his head in awe.

"What power." He said with eyes that brightly glowed.

"Definitely another uncontrollable one. Ugh!" Glade uttered before groaning unhappily.

Assuming he knew that Blessings had grades and tiers, he would completely understand why his was exceedingly exceptional in form, when compared to other lightning-generation-based Blessing. If he was in school, he would have been taught this, since it was a part of their curricula.

Though, all that he had produced so far, were only products of the Absolute-Rare-Abilities Blessing endowment that he owned. Every other grade or tier for all the Blessings currently known in the world, were also possessed by him—since the entirety of the nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine mandates were invoked upon him. So, maybe sooner than later, he might come to know and understand them.

After cheerlessly groaning because of the Blessing that absolutely seemed like one that wouldn't ever bulge to his rough control of it, talk more of a precise, fine-tuned control, he immediately moved to unleash an attack using the Blessing that was still in operation within him.

Pointing only two fingers—the index and middle finger with all others curled in, he attempted to unleash a powerful lightning blast....
