Julian opened his eyes and saw that it was already past 3 PM. He draped a bathrobe around his naked frame and gingerly climbed off the bed.
It was already past lunch time, but Maximillian had yet to return from the restaurant.
Julian grabbed his phone and made a call to the alpha. The frantic buzzing sound at the kitchen area told him that Maximillian left his phone at the villa.
Just then, a siren wailed across the island, its mournful cry punctuated by a booming announcement that filled the air.
"Attention all guests and visitors," the voice echoed, laced with urgency. "There has been a minor incident at the Emerald Jade Restaurant. The situation is under control, but for your safety, we kindly request that you remain inside your villas. We will provide further updates as soon as it is safe to resume your activities."
