"Dr. Schwarz?"
Both Dr. Koch and Maximillian squinted at the elder male alpha, who stood at the doorway with his jaw hanging slack in extreme shock.
"Are you alright?" Dr. Koch asked.
"I... Yes. Of course."
Dr. Schwarz cleared his throat and took a seat next to Maximillian. He extended his hand in Maximillian's direction and said with a gruff voice, "Long time no see, Agent Grant."
Although Dr. Schwarz was Dr. Koch's second-in-charge person, Maximillian never bothered him with anything, professional or personal. This fact had always grated on Dr. Schwarz's nerves, making him feel inferior to Dr. Koch at all times.
This time too, Maximillian chose to seek out Dr. Koch directly.
"We are talking about Julian Haas," Dr. Koch started, and Dr. Schwarz's head quickly snapped up in attention.
"Exactly, Julian Haas! I am also here on his behalf!"
"Oh?"
