Chapter 95 - 95 - Locked

Eugene's day started at five in the morning and ended at ten at night. An entire day full of activities usually drained his battery level from 100% to 15%, thus he needed to return to his charging station to recharge his battery overnight.

When Eugene powered down, so did the smart house. All the automated bells and whistles went silent, transforming Maximillian's futuristic abode back into a decidedly manual residence.

It was Julian's first time staying out of the house past ten o'clock at night without Maximillian by his side, thus he was left outside, unable to enter. Sneaking in through the windows might be doable, but then it might set off the alarm, waking the entire neighborhood.

Presented with the predicament, the omega had no other option but to contact his boyfriend, the guy who shot him in the leg just an hour ago. The one who answered the call was one of his subordinates, probably one who did not inhale any of the numbing agent.
