The question caught Mr. Brown off guard. A long pause followed before he finally spoke.

"They were boys of the same age, both omegas. I would say that they get along quite well with each other."

"Oh? Any specific details about their relationship with each other?"

A bashful smile tugged at Mr. Brown's lips. "I apologize, Agent Grant," he began, his voice strained. "It has been a long time, and so many faces have passed through these doors during the past fourteen years. I'm afraid my memory fails me at the moment."

Maximillian offered a curt nod, his gaze lingering on Mr. Brown a beat longer than necessary. "Of course," he finally said, a hint of something unreadable flickering in his eyes. "Thank you for your time, Mr. Brown. There is no need to send me off."
