Sylvester gave a wry smile to Melchior's statement.
"I was there the entire time, though,"
"It's not the same thing," Melchior snorted, "Most of what came out of your mouth, was Yuto's thoughts. It's not wrong to say that you were 'absent' for the duration of the conversation. Now you're fully here, and I can talk to you adequately,"
Sylvester nodded, staring into the distance. There was a considerable distance away from Esaron now, and there was nothing to be seen for miles, apart from a few strange-looking plants.
These plants were thin and spindly, with red fleshy barks. Their 'branches' extended outwardly, forming large canopies that cast even larger shadows on the ground below. Melchior had come into contact with one not long before that, reaching out to feel it carefully. Its skin was rough and coarse to the touch.
