Chapter 205 - Good Marksmanship

The robbers were talking in low voices.

Morofushi Hiromitsu didn't look up, silently listening to the scattered voices coming in from near the store's door, "Operation... if nothing happens... bank..."

"Police Academy..."

There were two robbers involved in the conversation, the one with the shotgun and the one who led the way in from the back door.

They seemed to be the leaders of the gang, and when they talked, they didn't talk together, but a few meters apart, with one standing almost to the left of the door, and the other to the right of the door.

The robbers who were closer to them could have heard them talking about the plan, but they didn't change their faces and seemed to know the general plan beforehand.

One of the robbers looked a bit worried and mentioned the 'police academy'.

Morofushi Hiromitsu didn't even move, and listened to the conversation like a good hostage.

The other robber seemed to ponder for a few seconds, before saying with some scorn, "...Over...rest...so much bad luck!"

And with a wave of his hand, "Over at the bank..."

What he was probably going to say was that the cadets had finished their 'Disguised Criminal' training and were now taking a break, and that they wouldn't have such bad luck with the cadets.

And the word 'bank' in the last sentence meant that their next target would probably be a bank.

Morofushi Hiromitsu looked at the ground and listened silently for a few seconds, when he suddenly heard a strange sound coming from behind him, like an explosion, or the sound of firecrackers or someone tapping on a pot or pan, and there was a 'bang!'

It sounded like it came from outside, or from the depths of the convenience store.

When they heard what sounded like an explosion at this critical moment, the hostages subconsciously shivered and panicked, and the robbers also looked over.

The robber with the shotgun became alert and took a few steps deeper into the convenience store, winking at the other robbers and signaling them to be on their guard.

Soon, there was another dull 'bang!' This time it was a little clearer, and the robbers stared intently at the direction from which the sound came.

The third 'bang!' When the sound sounded, the robber who loaded the money at the front desk has crouched at the front desk of the staff seized up, whispering questioned what was put in the store, trying to roughly estimate the abnormal sound is an accident or think.

The muffled sound like an explosion came from the direction of the back door, on the left side of the horizontal row of shelves, and the robbers were focusing on the left side.

The fourth sound, 'Boom!' sounded.

At that very moment, Morofushi Hiromitsu, who was holding his breath, caught a glimpse of a blue figure flashing out from the right side, as if it were a stuttering shadow, followed by a muffled grunt, which was almost seamlessly followed by the sound of a sharp gunshot.

A shotgun blast.

Neither the robbers nor the hostages reacted.

One second, their attention was still deep in the left side of the shelf, listening to the unusual sound, the next second, they were stunned to turn their heads to look behind them, to look at the place where the shotgun shot came from, some reaction.

Even the robber who was shot didn't react.

But Morofushi Hiromitsu did.

At the moment when the sound of the gunshot rang out and then died down, Morofushi Hiromitsu stepped on the tail end of the gunshot and decisively attacked the robber who was closest to him.

At the same time, he looked to his right, where the sound of footsteps was suddenly heard again, and saw Date Wataru, who was attacking another hostage-taker.

They exchanged glances.

The hostage-taker was caught off guard.

The one who was attacked barely resisted for a few seconds before he was gunned down on the ground, the one who wasn't attacked reacted for a few seconds, struggling to decide between 'the hostage taker was attacked' and 'the boss was attacked', and blanked out for a few seconds as if they were crossing the street and saw a car crashing before they acted.

Some of the robbers looked at the hostages with their guns, while others went to save the leader with their guns.

As early as the moment of the sudden change, the hostages were terrified, some even subconsciously screamed out, they also crouched on the ground did not dare to move, only to cover their heads.

Seeing a robber raise his gun, Morofushi Hiromitsu's eyes changed slightly, and he raised his gun decisively, anticipating the position of the robber's hand when he raised his gun completely and pulled the trigger, and fired his gun.

When the gunshot rang out, the robber let out a scream, and two splashes of blood came out of his body.

One came from the right hand of the robber's gun, and the gun, which had not been triggered, spun in the air a few times and was caught by Morofushi Hiromitsu in a dive.

A shot came from the thigh, the robber's right thigh was almost penetrated by the shotgun bullet, and he fell to the ground after losing a support in severe pain.

Morofushi Hiromitsu looked in the direction of the shotgun and saw Ichijō Mirai.

Ichijō Mirai was holding...

Armed robber.

Yes, he's not holding a gun, he's holding an armed robber.

The shotgun is in the robber's hand, and Ichijō Mirai is holding the robber in his arms, holding the robber's hand down forcefully, only glancing at Morofushi Hiromitsu when he notices the line of sight, smiling, and then turning the gun around with the armed robber and shooting the other robber.

He kept shooting.

One of the robbers was about to attack Date Wataru with a gun.

Morofushi Hiromitsu saw Ichijō Mirai's eyes sweep over, turned the gun slightly again, pulled the trigger, and the shotgun shells were fired again.

The robber screamed.

The robber screamed because his right hand was hit by the pistol.

At the same time as the robber, the hostage-taker, who had just been subdued by Date Wataru in the crowd, screamed in agony as his abdomen was wet and red, and his right hand lost its strength as he let go of the gun that he had been quietly gripping, and moaned in agony.

Furuya Rei, who quietly rolled into the chaos and shot the robber who attacked Date Wataru, removed the muzzle of his pistol and gave Ichijō Mirai a somewhat surprised look, "You..."

You... trust him.

Trusting that he could hit the criminal who was attacking Date Wataru, and that he could make his unfired shots never come out, he was already aiming at his next target, even though his eyes were still on that criminal.

This is the kind of reaction that can only be made with deep trust and without thinking.

Ichijō Mirai: "…"

I don't know if it was Furuya Rei's illusion, but he felt as if Ichijō Mirai was staring deeply at him, as if he had said something unpleasant.

It was only for a moment.

Date Wataru immediately picked up his gun, looked back at Furuya Rei and Ichijō Mirai, who had helped him take out the two enemies who had tried to sneak up on him, and said briefly, "Thanks."

Without further ado, he and Morofushi Hiromitsu hurriedly directed the hostages back towards the convenience store.

Without further ado, Furuya Rei leapt into the register in two or three steps, grabbed the staff member who was on his knees behind the register, and pointed out a path for him with a barrier to block the gun, "Follow the retreat."

With another glance at the robber next to the staff member who had been shot in the shoulder, he quickly picked up his gun and walked over to Ichijō Mirai's side.

Ichijō Mirai had run out of bullets for his shotgun, so he put down the armed robber and exchanged with Kenji Hagiwara, one robber in one hand and a pistol in the other.

Kenji Hagiwara was dragging the robber he had been talking to with the shotgun robber, who had been shot in the leg and had his gun taken away from him, and was less able to fight, so he had room to take on another shotgun robber, dragging them together behind the cashier's desk and briefly restraining them.

The robbers' counter-attacks hadn't been timely from the start, and now they were even more sparse, barely more than a shot or two.

No one was hit by the shots.

The robber looked back at the back door and retreated towards it, firing blindly without even looking in front of him.

Suddenly, a blurry, fluffy black shadow flashed in front of his eyes, and before he could react and urgently turn his gun back, he was struck in the stomach by the shadow's knee with a sharp pain, and then he was thrown over his shoulder to the ground in a whirlwind.

The pistol rolled several times on the ground and slid outward.

Matsuda Jinpei swept it back in time with his foot, and as soon as he had it in his hand, he unloaded the clip, and whistled, "Wow."

"Unstoppable?"

The robbers were wiped out.

Furuya Rei didn't let up right away, his eyes swept over the incapacitated robbers on the ground, and he breathed a brief sigh of relief when he realized that there were no guns on the ground nearby, and that they couldn't just pick them up with their left hand and sneak up on them.

He looked sideways at Ichijō Mirai, "Are you hurt?"

"I saw someone shoot at you."

"No," Ichijō Mirai, still holding the pistol, patted the blood from his own body, "I dodged, but the kind person was unfortunately shot."

Kind person?

...An armed robber with a shotgun?

Furuya Rei reacted, immediately scanning Ichijō Mirai's blood, "Did the bullet that hit him hit you again?!"

He breathes a sigh of relief when he realizes that there are no damaged areas on Ichijō Mirai's body, and reaches out for a high-five, not mincing words of praise, "Good marksmanship, not bad for a guy with ten rings in one shot."
