Chapter 170 - Very Scientific

The party villa is on a hill.

It is impassable for vehicles, and the only way to reach the villa is to follow an overgrown path through the jungle.

In front of the villa, there is a wooden suspension bridge that is about five or six meters long, and below it is a cliff with no visible bottom.

In the game, Ichijō Mirai would have had to jump to see how deep the cliff was, but now that he was in reality, he could only turn the bracelet on his hand with regret and step onto the wooden bridge.

There was a slight objection from the system, [Can you stop spinning me? I'm a little dizzy.]

Dizzy. Dizzy is good.

It's just as easy to talk to the system if it's dizzy, but if it's dizzy, Ichijō Mirai can pretend it's in a debuff and find a reason for it.

"Don't interrupt my thoughts," Ichijō Mirai gathered his thoughts, "I've been thinking of something since I was invited here, only every time I think of it, I forget it just as soon as I want to say it, and I'm thinking..."

He controlled his brain to blank out a bit, not to think about what he said, and said everything he wanted to say in one breath, "The last time we met in a one-time case, the connection between the game and reality was already exposed, I used a one-time case, but I didn't meet it in the game, but I met it in reality."

"This wooden bridge looks good for killing and setting fire to..."

"As long as we set up a wide range of signal blockers around the villa, cut the phone lines, take away all the tools, and then burn the bridge, everyone in the villa won't be able to escape by jumping over the six-meter wide cliff, so they'll have to wait for their deaths."

"If there's a lot of people, they'll fight and kill each other for a while before they die."

Ichijō Mirai stops in front of the villa and sighs, "What a place for a case."

It's easy to reach the classic Blizzard Mountain mode.

The System didn't dare make a sound, fearing that if it did, Ichijō Mirai would remember the words he had just said and naturally ignored, and it took half a second before he echoed with a whimper: [You're right.]

[But you're here for a party, so it's not a good idea to guess like that, right?]

It's not a good idea to read the script like that, is it?

Ichijō Mirai didn't care much, "Snowstorm Manor is nothing, I will definitely be the last one to die."

He reaches for the doorbell.

The doorbell rang crisply, and there were muffled footsteps, cheerful footsteps, and the visitor opened the door almost before the bell had dropped, "Mr. Mirai!"

It was Suzuki Sonoko who opened the door.

"You're finally here," She gathers Conan from the floor without looking back and holds it up cheerfully like a hunter showing off his prey, "Just in time, Ran and the others just arrived, so we're all here."

"Clank, clank, clank!"

"Look, Conan!"

Conan: "..."

He looked surprised, shocked and bewildered, his arms moving as he was held up, his legs stomping in mid-air a few times, looking very much like the helpless struggles of prey.

Suzuki Sonoko was very bright and her tone was extraordinarily cheerful, "The child you specifically asked about!"

Conan again: "..."

Ichijō Mirai:"..."

He looks down, locking eyes with Conan, who's almost as tall as Suzuki Sonoko, and in a rare move, tucks in his smile, letting his eyes and mouth arc downward a bit to show that he's really not smiling, "Hello, again, little friend."

Conan continued: "..."

He gave up struggling, his eyes going all beady-eyed, "You're holding back a laugh."

"Sharp as a tack," Ichijō Mirai complimented, "Hello, Ms. Mouri."

Mouri Ran stood a few paces away, her expression a little wistful, looking like she wanted to go down into the basement, and when she heard the greeting, she held her forehead helplessly for a moment before saying, "Hello."

"What a coincidence, Conan and I just got here too, we haven't had a chance to choose a room yet," she reached out to Conan, "Everyone else has already chosen their rooms, want to go up and choose a room?"

Suzuki Sonoko said, "The villa has several floors, there are still plenty of rooms."

"I had it cleaned in advance," she said, well prepared, "and the beds and quilts in each room are freshly made."

Ichijō Mirai was the last to arrive.

He had known about it before he came to the villa, had watched some of the people go in, and now nodded without a change of color and complimented Suzuki Sonoko's words, "Ms. Suzuki is very considerate, I was worried that the mountain villa would be a little unclean by necessity,"

"Then let's choose the room first."

They headed for the second floor.

There were so many rooms on the second floor, each with a closed door, that it was impossible to tell which ones were occupied and which ones were not, just by standing outside.

"I've been downstairs, so I don't know exactly what rooms they've chosen," Said Suzuki Sonoko, "but I've given them the key, and they're resting, so I think they've unlocked the doors."

In other words, "Any room that's not locked is unoccupied."

"Would you like to see the inside of the room before you choose?"

After all, it's a villa, not a hotel, and each room is different.

"No," Said Mouri Ran from the 'Clank! Please look! Conan!', had gotten a deeper understanding of Suzuki Sonoko's current joviality, and knew how to read the air very well, "Conan and I can just pick any room we want."

She looked around and chose the first room up on the second floor, the one closest to her,, "Ah, this one it is."

'Conan and I'.

Ichijō Mirai sniffed at the sound and glanced down at Conan, carefully observing the boy's age: he looked six or seven years old.

He was still young, but he already knew what he was doing.

That's not a good idea to live with a young girl who isn't related to you.

He considered his tone and smiled, "Conan's already..."

Before he could finish his sentence, he saw Mouri Ran, who had casually pulled the door open, freeze, her face instantly reddening, "Yes, I'm sorry!"

There was someone in the room.

A tall thin young male, he was standing at the end of the bed changing his clothes, he was not wearing anything on the upper part of his body, he looked about as fit as a fiddle, very muscular with some abs on his stomach.

At the sound of the door opening, he looked confused and panicked, shielding his body with his clothes in a state of shock.

Mouri Ran is even more alarmed, apologizing loudly and closing the door quickly, blushing almost volcanically and looking like she's not just about to crawl into a hole in the ground, she's actually about to do something about it.

So, she turned around urgently, looked at the opposite room, and pulled it open with her hand, "This one then! I'll go to my room first...sorry!!!"

The door to the second room that was pulled open was also occupied.

It was an equally young male, who was also changing his clothes.

The young man's face looked chubby, but his body was unexpectedly thin, and the bed in front of him was piled up with clothes that had already been changed and had not yet been changed, and there were a lot of things, some of which were piled up one after another.

There was a bandage exposed in the pile of clothes.

The young man turned around at the sound, and his face changed slightly.

Ichijō Mirai locked eyes with him for a second.

Mouri Ran flung the door shut urgently, "I'm really sorry!"

She lowers her head, looking like she's really looking for a crack in the ground to bury herself in, and urgently yanks open a third door, trying to leap into the room as quickly as possible to calm down.

Then: "...I'm sorry!"

In the third room, a man with long hair was changing his clothes.

Ichijō Mirai: "..."

Why are they all changing...?

Why don't you lock the door when you're changing?

Aren't you afraid the police will kick in the door?

Oh wait, normal people don't have to worry about that, so it's fine.

But it's still a little crazy.

So much so, that he raised his hand, touched the back of his neck, which was burning again, and said in a low voice, without expression, "Very 'scientific'."
