Chapter 67 - Ouch!

Wakamatsu Toshihide's face turns red and she acts a bit shyly, quietly touching Conan's fingertips with his hand and smiling shyly.

Conan looks down at his hand, then up at Wakamatsu Toshihide's red face.

Mouri Ran was pouring juice for Conan, and noticing the shift in his attention, she softly asked, "What's wrong?"

She was looking at the juice line and didn't turn her head.

At the sound of Mouri Ran's voice, Wakamatsu Toshihide became more shy and squirmy, but with more courage, he reached out and grabbed Conan's hand and tugged it towards him.

Not only his face, his entire upper body turned red, like a shy drunk crab that was cooked and was snapping its claws shyly, "Hateful."

"And you still ask what's wrong. How annoying! So cute."

Conan, who is holding his hand: "?"

Mouri Ran who is pouring juice:"?"

Shyly, Wakamatsu Toshihide couldn't stop smiling again, so he simply gathered up his courage, and with a strong push, he pulled Conan into his arms, and was about to kiss him passionately with his head down.

He was violently pulled over and hugged tightly, and a bloody mouth came in front of his eyes, Conan: "?"

"!!!"

Ichijō Mirai: "?"

"..."

One can't, or at least one shouldn't.

Quick as a flash, he reached across the table and grabbed Conan by the collar, yanking Conan out of the way and naturally deflecting the customary sweep of his leg as he stood up as if he were just standing up in a normal manner.

"You're from Hiroshima?"

No, start over. "Are you religious?"

No, start again.

"Mr. Hiroshima, I know this is Japan, and you're Japanese," Ichijō Mirai said, "but please be careful."

Even if you're a Japanese, you really can't, you really shouldn't!

He put down Conan and called Mouri Ran over as well, "It's too cold to sit by the door and blow in the wind, Ms. Mouri sit over here some too."

He also touched Conan's head politely, and perfunctorily went through the process of an adult gently touching a child's head, "Sister is pouring orange juice for you, remember to drink it later."

After being shocked twice in a row, once by the sudden attack of the deadly big face and big mouth in front of him, and once by the sudden escape from the attack, Conan reacted for a while before accepting the words that clearly treated him as a child who didn't know any better, "...Okay."

He glares slyly at Wakamatsu Toshihide.

Wakamatsu Toshihide was slower to react. He kissed his arm passionately and deeply a few times before he responded: "Huh?"

The beaty in his arms suddenly disappeared. His face was still red, but his shyness turned into anger. "Mr. Ichijō, what are you doing! Mouri and I..."

He met eyes with Conan beside Ichijō Mirai, wide-eyed, angry words stuck, "..."

After a brief two seconds of being stuck, Wakamatsu Toshihide froze, his angry eyes turning into dull bulb eyes, his eyes almost glaring out of their sockets, "Wait."

He stiffly lowers his head, looks at his empty arms, then stiffly raises his head, looks at Conan, and finally turns his head even more stiffly and slowly looks at Mouri Ran on the side, "Wait, wait, wasn't that Ms. Mouri just now?!"

Mouri Ran was confused: "What?"

From her point of view, just as she poured the juice, Conan was yanked away by Wakamatsu Toshihide, and before she could react, Conan was yanked away by Ichijō Mirai.

The whole thing was lightning fast, and it was gone in a flash.

She only had time to see Wakamatsu Toshihide kissing her arms deeply, like a drunk crab, and how he changed from a shy crab to an angry crab, and then collapsed and faded into a pale dead crab.

But the image of the drunken cooked crab hemming and hawing and kissing the pincers was too creepy, the back and forth too obvious, and Mouri Ran guessed: "...Okay."

She puts down the juice box, trying her best to maintain her expression, and moves over to Conan before thanking him rather wordlessly, "Thank you Mr. Mirai."

Wakamatsu Toshihide, having been hit too hard, surrendered voluntarily in a mutual glare, and Conan retracted his gaze and obediently followed Mouri Ran in thanking him, "Thank you, Brother Mirai."

He looked at Ichijō Mirai's wrist and wristwatch, which had been exposed as he reached for a glass of juice, and hesitated for a moment. Instead of taking the time to ask questions about the conversation he had just had, he turned his head to Mouri Ran and pounced on her while the iron was hot.

"Sister Ran!"

"This big burly brother is so scary, he scratches me so much, and smiles so strangely, like a crab steamed in wine, will he eat me? Let's stay away from him, okay?"

He opened his mouth and tried to cry, and even if he couldn't cry, he wanted to fake wail like a child to make sure Mouri Ran stayed away from the scary crab.

But after opening his mouth for just a moment, he heard the sound, "Waa-ooooooooooo!"

"WAHHHHHHHH!"

It's the choked, loud cry of a child.

Conan: "?"

Mouri Ran: "?"

Ichijō Mirai: "?"

They turned their heads to look.

The source of the cries is Minagawa Katsuhiko's younger brother, who is standing by the kitchen with an opened box of chocolates in his hands and traces of chocolate on his cheeks, wiping tears from his eyes as he wails.

Mrs. Minagawa stood in front of him with a stern face, very angry, and scolded in a low voice, "I have told you not to eat sweets lately, Sasumu, have you forgotten that you have cavities? You'll get a toothache if you eat sweets!"

"But," Minagawa Sasumu's cries lessened and broke off, "but Sister Sekiya gave me this."

He cried out again, "Sister Sekiya prepared it for brother , she's known brother for so long, much longer than I've known brother and I, surely she prepared something that won't hurt my teeth."

"Wooooooo!"

The cry was too shrill and real, too much so that the adult's legs got hot and he wanted to get up and walk, and in the process, he walked out of Minagawa's house and fled from the scene without looking back.

Ichijō Mirai noticed the chocolate in Minagawa Sasumu's hand and confirmed that it was the same chocolate Kaori Sekiya had taken when she left to go after Minagawa Katsuhiko, and then scanned the living room to see that neither of them had returned yet.

But they weren't together, they were separated.

The glass in the living room was transparent, and in the corner of the patio stood a slender figure, resting on the railing of the patio and blowing in the wind in a depressed manner, none other than Kaori Sekiya.

Combined with Minagawa Sasumu's words, the story becomes clear: Kaori Sekiya confessed her love to Minagawa Katsuhiko, was rejected, and gave the chocolate to a child.

Ichijō Mirai looks away, ignoring the religious Hiroshima drunken crab, and changes the subject, "So Ms. Sekiya and Mr. Minagawa are childhood friends."

Minagawa Sasumu said, 'Sister Sekiya and brother have known each other longer than brother and I have known each other'.

Changing the subject, he looks not at Mouri Ran, but at Conan in Mouri Ran's arms.

Conan read a subtle signal in the air, a signal that was formed only after Minagawa Sasumu's shrill cry: If you cry, I dare you to leave.

He: "..."

He really couldn't cry like that either, and after a short silence, he rounded off what he was about to cry with, "It's, it's really scary."

But, "It's weird."

There's something strange about saying, 'Sister Sekiya has known my brother for much longer than I have'.

Would a normal brother talk like that?

And since Kaori Sekiya and Minagawa Katsuhiko are so close, and Minagawa Sasumu's cavities are so bad that eating a little bit of chocolate makes Mrs. Minagawa furious, why would she give chocolate to Minagawa Sasumu, if she didn't know?

Conan was a bit puzzled, but since Minagawa Sasumu was clearly in a childish stage where she just cried and cried, he put his puzzlement aside for the time being and glared at Wakamatsu Toshihide, who was looking over in awe, and emphasized in a loud voice, "Sister Ran has a childhood friend, too!"

"It's Brother Shinichi!"

"They're in love...ouch!"
