[Sorry about yesterday, took a sick day off!]
With Garp's persuasion, the Hyūga Clan expressed no objections to Hinata's departure for Pokémon Island. In fact, the Main House elders were almost ready to applaud the decision.
That very evening, the Main House held a clan meeting and officially appointed the three-year-old Hanabi as the new head of the Hyūga Clan.
As for the Caged Bird Seal issue, Hiashi was slightly disappointed. No one dared to bring it up, leaving his prepared speech unused.
Hinata was unaware of all these developments. She had already packed her belongings and was on her way to Pokémon Island.
"Grandpa, aren't we leaving with Luffy-nii-san and the others?" Hinata asked sadly as Garp carried her on his shoulder.
"Of course, but they're heading back to Mt. Gorbo first. I'm taking you to drop off your luggage at our home on Pokémon Island," Garp replied, his heart swelling with joy at Hinata's sweet, soft-spoken words.
Hinata's calling him "Grandpa" made Garp feel invincible, as though he could punch Sengoku to death.
"Won't I be living with my brothers?" Hinata asked.
"Nope. They're staying at that mountain bandit's hideout with Dadan. It's a smoky, dirty place—not suitable for a young girl like you. You'll stay in Grandpa's mansion instead!" Garp boomed with laughter, making his favoritism crystal clear.
"Oh," Hinata replied softly. She didn't fully understand, but she was obedient and always listened to Garp.
Following Garp, Hinata arrived at a villa that resembled a grand inn. Although she had expected her new home to be beautiful—much like Naruto's living situation—seeing the house, which was very different from Z's, left her wide-eyed in awe.
She also noticed that her new home was quite close to Naruto's, possibly just ten meters away.
"See, over there is Z's house. If you don't feel like going all the way to Mt. Gorbo to find your brothers, you can always go play with that little blond kid from Zef's place," Garp suggested.
"Mm!" Hinata nodded enthusiastically but then remembered her friends from the ninja world. "Grandpa, can I invite Shino and Kiba to visit?"
"Of course! You can invite anyone you want," Garp said, leading her inside the house. Then, he called out loudly, "I've brought Hinata home!"
Whoosh! x2
Two figures burst out from the depths of the house, radiating power and energy.
Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee—Garp's other two Pokémon, primarily responsible for the Trainer challenges at the fighting dojo. Although they weren't as strong as the Level 50 Machamp, who had mastered dual-colored Haki, they were still at Level 35.
They were both evolved forms of Tyrogue, single-type Fighting Pokémon, with distinct specialties: Hitmonchan excelled in punching, while Hitmonlee was a kicking specialist.
Their evolution paths reflected their abilities: Hitmonlee was adept at quick attacks, and Hitmonchan excelled in defense and counterattacks.
"These are Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee, my companions and your great-uncles. If I'm not home and you need anything, you can turn to them," Garp introduced the two towering Pokémon to Hinata.
"..." Hinata nervously took a step back, particularly afraid of Hitmonlee.
Hitmonchan's appearance was more human-like, with a kind, handsome face. Hitmonlee, on the other hand, resembled a headless figure from ancient Eastern myths, with fierce eyes on its chest.
Despite Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee's friendly attempts to greet her, Hinata remained a bit scared.
"When March rolls around, the Pokémon Academy will start its new term. You'll be able to attend, make new friends, and settle into your new life," Garp assured her, unfazed by her shyness.
There would be plenty of time for Hinata to bond with them. Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee, unlike Garp, were gentle and nurturing Pokémon, highly skilled in household chores. They would take care of Hinata like she was a princess from a wealthy family.
"Mm," Hinata nodded but hesitated, glancing down at her small feet before looking up at Garp. "When should I practice Gentle Fist?"
"Huh? Gentle what? Oh, that... well, if you want to practice, go ahead. It's not a bad idea—it's good for keeping fit, at least," Garp replied, recalling the martial art used by those "white-eyed" people.
Practicing Gentle Fist on Pokémon Island wouldn't be particularly useful. Hinata wouldn't even be able to activate her Byakugan there.
"Eh? Then... what should I do daily? Flower arranging, tea ceremonies, embroidery... things like that?" Hinata asked, feeling uncertain.
"Huh? Those? If you want to do them, go ahead. If not, you can play in Central Park with other kids. There are many children and wild Pokémon there in the afternoon. You might even find a partner," Garp said, tapping her forehead with a finger before turning to leave. "Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee will help you set up your room and take you to get an ID card. Be sure to get along with them!"
Since it was still work hours, Garp had to head out. His job was in the pirate world, where there were still many powerful figures to deal with.
Pirates in the pirate world were facing near-extinction, their activities confined to a small area of the New World under the pressure from the Navy. Garp believed that within a year, pirates would disappear from the pirate world altogether.
There might still be a few bold individuals who would venture out to sea with their Pokémon, but their numbers would be small, and the Navy could easily handle them.
The Revolutionary Army was also systematically dismantling the aristocratic classes and corrupt social structures of one country after another, guiding ordinary people toward more stable societies like Water 7.
The pirate world was rapidly becoming a relatively peaceful place, with only a few remaining underground criminals to root out.
Of the three worlds, the ninja world was currently the most chaotic, and the worst was yet to come.
Left alone in the house, Hinata felt bewildered. She wasn't used to this sudden change in her lifestyle. Being told to play all day felt incredibly wrong to her.
"Hit," Hitmonchan gently lifted Hinata, placing her on the couch. Then, he retrieved a bottle of Moomoo Milk from the fridge and cut some fruit in the kitchen, setting everything on the table in front of her, encouraging her to enjoy.
"Ah, thank you," Hinata stammered, snapping out of her daze and thanking Hitmonchan.
"Hit," Hitmonchan waved off her thanks.
Then he and Hitmonlee took Hinata's luggage to her room.
Hinata sat on the couch, holding a cup of Moomoo Milk, unsure of what to do next. Normally, she would be practicing tea ceremonies at this time.
Click.
The door suddenly made a sound.
Hinata instinctively looked over, expecting Garp. But instead, she saw a beautiful blonde woman.
"Hello, Miss Hinata. My name is Domino. I'm the logistics officer in Vice Admiral Garp's team, here to help you buy clothes and daily necessities as per his orders," Domino introduced herself.
Domino had recently joined Impel Down as a guard. After the destruction of Impel Down, she lost her job. Though she had the opportunity to transfer to the Pokémon Island Undersea Prison as a guard, she declined the offer.
Domino didn't want to spend her days in a dark, isolated prison in this peaceful world, so Magellan sent her back to Marine Headquarters for reassignment, which brought her here.
"Ni-ni-nice to meet you," Hinata stammered, quickly standing and offering her cup of Moomoo Milk. "Please, have some."
"No need. Do you have time to go out now, or should I wait until you're ready?" Domino asked politely.
"I'm ready," Hinata nodded.
"Great, then let's head out. I'll call for a Poké Ride outside," Domino said, stepping out.
Hinata informed Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee about the outing. Hitmonlee checked through the window to confirm Domino's identity, then relaxed, allowing Hinata to leave.
About half an hour later, Domino had taken Hinata shopping for various daily necessities and bought her a wide array of beautiful clothes, including many dresses Hinata had never worn before. To Domino, Hinata was like a doll, and she was completely absorbed in dressing her up.
Hinata, finding she couldn't refuse Domino, eventually gave up and let herself be pampered.
By evening, Domino reluctantly returned Hinata home.
"Hit!" Hitmonchan greeted Hinata at the door, quickly taking away her bags.
Hitmonlee had also prepared dinner, ready for Hinata to eat.
Curious, Hinata walked to the dining table and brightened up at the sight of the luxurious four-course meal. She sniffed the air and was delighted by the delicious aroma.
However, she looked around and noticed Garp wasn't home.
"Where's Grandpa?" she asked.
"Hit," Hitmonchan shook his head, indicating that Garp wouldn't be home for dinner.
Hinata understood and obediently sat down, accepting the large bowl of rice Hitmonlee handed her.
"..." Staring at the large portion, Hinata didn't know what to say.
Seeing Hitmonlee's kind expression, she didn't have the heart to refuse and was thankful her appetite was big enough.
Hinata found this new life a bit overwhelming. If she had to explain why, she might say it was because she was "too happy."
