The next morning, the sight of students attending their first class was truly beautiful.
The girls wore white short-skirt uniforms, elevating their appearance and catching the attention of the young male students whose eyes were almost popping out.
Schools are places where many will meet their crushes and start beautiful romances, but let's put that aside for now.
Today, March 1st of the first year of the Alliance Calendar, was the official start of classes for the students.
At eight in the morning, the students entered their class groups to introduce themselves and get to know each other.
The first batch of students was divided into eight classes, each with 25 students and 25 Pokémon.
Each class had its own homeroom teacher.
Olvia and Perona were among the homeroom teachers.
At this moment, they were leading their classes to the playground for an opening ceremony, where Olvia would give a speech.
It was the typical ceremony, with a lot of speeches that didn't hold much interest for someone like Dak, who had undergone nine years of compulsory education. However, for these students attending school for the first time, Olvia's words were incredibly inspiring.
After the ceremony, they headed to the school auditorium for an open class.
This so-called open class was actually for Dak to complete a main quest.
He needed to educate fifty Pokémon.
Dak not only had to teach but had to do so in a way that fifty Pokémon could understand.
An open class was undoubtedly the fastest way. With 200 Pokémon present, surely fifty would understand.
"This class will cover the structure of our Pokémon Alliance and the path to becoming a champion in Pokémon battles and coordination contests."
Dak, dressed in a black suit, stood at the front of the auditorium.
A virtual screen behind him would display relevant content as he spoke, a technology developed by Vegapunk and operated by Porygon2.
The 200 students and their 200 Pokémon sat attentively, listening carefully.
It was their first class, so their interest was high, and they paid close attention.
If Dak's lecture was boring or too long, the students would start to get restless.
As a former student, Dak knew this well and made sure to deliver the content promptly.
"Our Pokémon Alliance currently has eight departments and eight gyms. They are..."
"In the future, we will use Pokémon battle tournaments as the key mechanism to determine the 'Elite Four' and 'Champion' of each world. They represent the pinnacle of the Pokémon domain."
When Dak spoke about the Elite Four and Champion, the students listened intently.
Especially the younger children, who found these titles incredibly cool and couldn't help but aspire to them.
"The Champion and Elite Four will not only be the most famous figures in this world but also representatives who travel to other worlds to interact with trainers there. They might even become famous in other worlds."
Dak aimed to inspire the students, giving them a goal and expectation for becoming Elite Four or Champions, motivating them to study hard.
Currently, the culture of Pokémon in the One Piece world was just beginning. People were not yet familiar with concepts like abilities, attributes, and move sets; they mostly fought based on instinct and intuition.
Once these concepts became common knowledge, Pokémon battles would become increasingly challenging.
At that point, merely training hard wouldn't be enough to become a Champion or an Elite Four.
"Now, let's talk about the battle and coordination contests."
"As the name suggests, battle contests involve trainers directing their Pokémon in battles. There are currently two formats: wild battles and formal battles."
"Wild battles usually occur during fights at sea, where trainers and their Pokémon fight side by side, a highly dangerous form of combat."
"Formal battles are mostly seen on Pokémon Island. In this format, only Pokémon fight, with trainers only providing commands without using Observation Haki."
Dak explained the two main battle styles in the One Piece and Pokémon worlds to the students.
"Teacher, I have a question!"
A little girl raised her hand high.
"Please go ahead."
"If we challenge a gym, what battle format will we use?"
"Half-formal battle."
Dak smiled. Although called 'half-formal,' it was essentially the same as the formal battles in the Pokémon world. "In half-formal battles, only Pokémon are allowed to fight, but there are no restrictions on trainers using Observation Haki."
In the Pokémon world, psychics could also use their abilities to assist in battles without it being considered cheating.
"But the tournaments are held on Pokémon Island, right? So, in the final matches, we still can't use Observation Haki." Sabo frowned, pointing out the crucial issue.
"That's right. So, if your goal is just to participate in the tournaments, using Observation Haki is easier. But it won't help you improve your command skills. In the tournaments, trainers who practiced without relying on Haki will have better command skills."
Dak explained details that were crucial for students at Pokémon Academy to know.
Many in the One Piece world had never been to Pokémon Island and didn't know about the power suppression there.
Even if they had heard of it, they might not realize it could suppress even Observation Haki.
Such people would be at a disadvantage in the tournaments unless they learned about it in advance.
"Let's talk about coordination contests. In these, trainers and Pokémon work together to perform beautiful displays."
Dak pointed to the large screen behind him, showing performances by Lapras from the New Year's Eve show. "The key is using Pokémon's moves to create stunning visual effects. But trainers and Pokémon's outfits and coordination also matter, testing the trainers' synchronization skills."
Everyone nodded thoughtfully.
"In terms of fan numbers and fame, coordination contest participants can quickly gain popularity through dazzling performances. Famous coordination contestants can have as many fans as Champions."
"But in terms of fan devotion and longevity, Champions are unmatched. Their fans admire them purely for their strength or personal charm and usually remain loyal for a long time."
Dak explained the differences between battle Champions and coordination Champions.
It was similar to the difference between a trending celebrity and a star.
One might gain popularity quickly but lose it just as fast if they don't perform well.
The other builds a stable fan base over time, less likely to lose followers.
Dak continued, explaining the '6v6' format of battle tournaments and the '3v3' format of gym battles, then the entire process of coordination contests.
After about forty-five minutes, the first class was over.
Dak's main quest was complete.

[Reward: Pokémon Global Terminal]
[Pokémon Global Terminal: Connects to screens in any world, allowing them to broadcast any event or competition hosted by the Pokémon Breeding House. Also enables Pokémon trainers to communicate with each other through their Pokédexes, with no risk of interception.]
"Class dismissed."
The bell rang, signaling the end of the class.
The students slowly returned to their classrooms, as they had another class to attend, with only a ten-minute break in between.
"Sigh, it's more tiring than I thought."
"But we've learned a lot. The information the Chief shared today is something outsiders surely don't know."
For Sabo, who was used to ten-hour school days, this was a breeze.
People living on Pokémon Island referred to the world outside as the 'outside world.'
Meanwhile, Dak returned to the Alliance base.
The so-called Pokémon Global Terminal was a massive machine resembling a giant forge.
After some thought, Dak decided to place it in Tyranitar's nest.
Anyone wanting to destroy the Global Terminal would have to deal with Tyranitar first.
Tyranitar was displeased with Dak putting such a big metal lump in its bed and wanted to smash it with Hyper Beam.
But considering its importance, Tyranitar decided to let it be.
The Pokémon Global Terminal.
This was a crucial device for the Pokémon Alliance's events.
It allowed any screen connected to the Breeding House in any world to broadcast live events hosted by the Alliance.
For example, if a battle tournament were happening on Pokémon Island, people in the One Piece world wouldn't be able to watch it unless someone brought a live-streaming Den Den Mushi.
But now, even without that, live broadcasts were possible.
As long as there was a screen, people could watch the events happening on Pokémon Island.
