"After witnessing today's battle, I'm sure everyone has a better understanding of the potential and future of Pokémon."
"But let me make it clear, they are far stronger than what you saw today. They couldn't fully unleash their power due to the limited space."
"If you give your true heart to your Pokémon, they will respond in kind. How strong they become isn't just their business; it's yours too."
"Pokémon are considered limitless beings. If they ever hit a bottleneck, don't doubt it—it's because your affection isn't deep enough."
"Always hold high expectations for your partners. This is a truth our Pokémon Alliance will always uphold."
The highest level of persuasion is believing the idea yourself, so others will believe it too.
No.
This isn't brainwashing; it's simply the truth.
But such words need to be repeated endlessly, after every event or competition.
The core of the Pokémon Alliance is Pokémon.
The more people value Pokémon, the higher and more stable the Pokémon Alliance's position becomes, and the more it will be embraced by people.
Therefore, psychologically suggestive phrases that make people value Pokémon more must be said often.
And it can't just be anyone saying it. If a random person said it, people would think they were talking nonsense.
But if Dak says it, it's different because, so far, Dak is the most authoritative figure in this field. The strongest Pokémon are his partners, so no one understands Pokémon better than him.
"There's one more thing I want to announce. According to my development plan, our Pokémon Alliance will establish a Pokémon School!"
Dak raised his hand and pointed to the big screen, signaling everyone to look.
On the screens around, several images of a campus were being displayed in succession.
This school did not exist in any Pokémon or Trainer schools in the Pokémon world but was a new campus created by Dak from pre-purchased architectural and scenic designs. They were already in the shopping cart, ready to be purchased and generated.
(The campus is inspired by the IS Academy from the anime "Infinite Stratos," as it seemed very suitable.)
First, the playground.
The school's playground wasn't large, but it was more than adequate for the Pokémon still learning and training at the school.
Next, the dormitory.
The dormitory was quite high-end, with double rooms, private bathrooms, central air conditioning, computers, balconies, wardrobes, and all other necessary amenities.
Then, the classrooms.
The classrooms were full of a sense of technology, very spacious, and pre-installed with multiple virtual electronic screens, making it easy to project Pokémon-related materials for teachers to explain and students to understand better.
In Dak's plan, each classroom or class would have 25 students.
Does that sound too few? That's because each student also has a Pokémon partner.
In reality, each class would have a biological capacity of 50.
Finally, a few campus scenery images were also shown.
With small forests, gardens, fountains, and lakes, the scenery was picturesque, rivaling some vacation resorts.
Such a beautiful campus and scenery were unprecedented for the people of the One Piece world.
Indeed, the One Piece world had some unique scenic spots, like the Sabaody Archipelago, Water 7, and Fish-Man Island, which would be very attractive in any world.
But a modern, urbanized campus like this was equally novel to the people of this world; they had never seen anything like it.
Most of the audience in the stands gradually recovered their senses while looking at the images on the screen, their eyes filled with excitement.
The Navy's Pokémon were also intrigued, clamoring to enter the school.
Not just the scenery, even the concept of a 'school' was novel enough for these people.
Children in the One Piece world had no idea of the pain—no, the joy—of school and homework.
Dak was bringing a boon to the world's children.
He intended to establish something like a nine-year compulsory quality education system. Every household's children had to attend school, and without a graduation certificate, they couldn't get free Pokémon from the school or nearby research institutes.
He would introduce frequent small tests, weekly exams, monthly exams, midterms, finals, practical tests, qualification tests, and even parent-teacher meetings.
Emphasizing comprehensive development in morals, intellect, physique, aesthetics, and labor, along with family education.
"Our Pokémon School is almost finished and will open on March 1st next year. The period until then will be for pre-registration. Anyone interested in enrolling in the Pokémon School can register at our store."
After displaying the images, Dak continued his explanation.
The admission review for the first batch of students at the Pokémon School would be relatively strict.
Currently, the only teachers qualified were Dak and Robin, while Perona was still in training but should be ready to teach by next year.
Since they were all new teachers and Dak was running a school for the first time, there were many unknowns.
Thus, the first batch of students would be a test year for the Pokémon School.
They planned to enroll only 50 students, along with 50 Pokémon, divided into two classes for experimental teaching.
Additionally, other surrounding buildings needed to be constructed for the school. Otherwise, where would students go during weekends?
This was why the school opening was set nearly four months later.
During these four months, Dak needed to gather funds and develop Pokémon Island, creating a commercial street, food street, and entertainment area near the school for students to enjoy during holidays.
When family members came to visit, there needed to be a place for them to have fun with the students.
"Lord Dak! What will the Pokémon School teach?"
"Will it teach Pokémon-related knowledge?"
"I saw rooms. Does that mean students will stay at the school long-term?"
"What are the admission requirements? Is registration enough?"
"Is the Pokémon School on Pokémon Island?"
"Can you enroll without a Pokémon?"
"Will we meet other Pokémon?"
The audience, now recovered, erupted with questions, filled with excitement and curiosity about the beautiful Pokémon School.
"Please remain calm. This is something for more than three months later. There's no need to rush; we have plenty of time to explain."
"First, our school will be on Pokémon Island, strictly managed by the teachers, ensuring no danger."
"Second, our school is residential. Students can only leave on holidays to visit the commercial street, food street, parks, etc., or go home to be with their families. You may not see it now, but it will be there in three months."
"Furthermore, our curriculum includes not only Pokémon-related knowledge but also language, ethics, science, medical care, and breeding. Students can choose elective courses based on their interests, though there will be mandatory courses each year."
How envious these kids are for not having to learn English.
"Lastly, there will be Pokémon in the school to help students with their studies. So even if you don't have a Pokémon, don't worry. You might find a lifelong partner in the school."
Dak paused, thinking.
Regarding admission requirements, he hadn't decided yet. Charging high tuition didn't seem suitable for a school.
But the Pokémon School he built could charge 40,000 to 80,000 a year in reality, so it couldn't be too cheap either.
"As for admission requirements..."
"We will screen during pre-registration. Only those who pass the pre-registration need to pay a fee of 1 million Berries. This 1 million Berries covers one year, which is two semesters, including all book fees, accommodation fees, tuition, Pokémon recovery fees, and more."
1 million Berries was a relatively high fee in places like the East Blue. For instance, villagers from Cocoyasi Village and Syrup Village might need to save for one or two years to afford it.
But in Paradise, it was an affordable fee for commoners.
Though a bit expensive, it was within an acceptable range.
After all, it was for a full year, two semesters, averaging 500,000 Berries per semester.
When Dak first mentioned 1 million, many people's faces fell, but they nodded after hearing the details.
Such a place charging 1 million Berries a year was quite reasonable.
A vacation in the Sabaody Archipelago cost more than 1 million Berries.
"That about covers it. This concludes the Pokémon Alliance's performance event. Thank you all for participating."
"Please follow the guides to exit, or feel free to explore the arena and the surrounding kilometer area with your companions. Just remember not to wander off."
"Until next time."
Dak bowed slightly in mid-air, and his three partners vanished from everyone's sight.
Leaving behind a somewhat dazed audience.
