My alarm rang as I fell off my bed. It's 5:30 am . Geez, I haven't packed yet. I grabbed my suitcase and began packing only to stop. I didn't know what to pack. Realization dawned on me,I don't even have clothes. For once I felt ashamed. With a heavy heart,I packed what I have and rushed to take a bath. By the time I was done,it was 6:30 . Wasn't he here yet? I looked out my window only to see him waiting. He told me throw my luggage and I did and he caught it so effortlessly . I looked around and jumped off , forgetting the ladder. Montez smiled ." Have you been waiting for long". He just winked. " Not really,I just arrived". His gaze sized me up and unknowingly I felt insecure. For once. He pulled me in and zoomed off " I wanted to give you a gift but Axel beat to it". I smiled at his British accent. He pulled over in front of Gia's fashion , The trending boutique and dropped me off " see you" then he left. Just like that, I was still trying to figure what's happening, when Axel pulled over. " Morning sis, let's go in " I was just looking as he pulled me in. Switching on the lights, my jaw dropped in amazement. "Pick your choice". I stood dazzled looking around. The dresses were amazing, gorgeous, even being a tomboy,I appreciated the beauty and effort put into the clothes. The interior decoration represented style, class and wealth. Axel just laughed at my expression. I didn't bother to hide the fact I'm shocked. I was stunned. Seeing I wasn't making any move he stood and grabbed my hand showing me around. I noticed you like men's wear, so pick.
" Are you sure" I asked. He gave a hurt look, " you callin ' me broke huh " I kept mute. Yeah what was I was thinking. He chuckled, " don't worry, I own this place and now it's yours . " What! Axel, this is huge,I can't take it". He smiled " if I didn't trust you, I wouldn't give you". He sized me up, handed me a white shirt, denim jacket and a denim jean. " Get changed". Saying this,he shoved me into the dressing room.. There was this pleased look on his face when I stepped out. He sat me down, rolled his as sleeves and began to doing my hair. He looked so focused and concentrated so I just let him do his thing.
Three hours later, walking out of Gia's fashion with bags and bags of clothes,I couldn't help but smile inwardly.
Axel already handed me the legal documents and papers I needed. And just like that,I became the owner of Gia's fashion overnight.
During the drive back, I couldn't help but think of my life and smile. Everything felt right that I became afraid one mistake is all it will take to ruin everything. To me,I was dreaming and I didn't want to wake because after every dream one wakes to the harsh reality that awaits.
They say all good times comes to an end . But this moment,I wish and yet wished it to last for a lifetime.
But in reality,I have always been alone, I never complained because I believed my life would never be change but right now, I don't want to be alone.
It was almost noon when we got to the place. Everyone else were there talking and joking like they've known each other for years.
Axel waved at Kiel who smiled back and I stared mouth agape. " You don't hate him anymore? He looked frustrated," I never did". And he walked away.
I just stood confused not understanding a thing. Kim came to meet me to set the place for the bonfire at night. Kim and I were to get to the woods while Montez danced around in an apron awaiting our arrival.
Apparently, Kim chose a remote place contrary to Mason idea. He wanted us to bond and have fun without modernity. Just six kids on an adventure. And seeing everyone reaction, they seem to agree. The house we were situated in was located on an island faraway filled or rather hidden within the large trees and hills.
Everyone had their rooms and assigned jobs . Montez was In charge of cooking, Kim and I were in charge getting all needs . Mason choose to plan while Axel and Kiel well, they are just there.
Mason already planned the week with interactive and fun filled activities and set up the roster in the hall.
