My father was a medical doctor whiles my mother was a fashion designer. We were a happy family. My dad was my friend. Our home was peaceful and lively. However my father's attitude changed when my mother became pregnant with June. The atmosphere in the house was no longer peaceful. My mother was normally seen crying. My father's attitude continued till my mother gave birth. I heard them quarreling more times .One day, I happen to see my mother's hospital report then I decided to act fast because it was stated that her BP was high. I went to my father's room one morning and had a chat with him. I made him aware of how his behavior is affecting my mum emotionally and health wise. My father apologized and promised to send my mother and myself out for dinner that day after work. Hazel that's 19 years ago . My father had a tragic accident on his way home to pick my mum and I to the date. June was just ten months old. Around 10pm, I received a call. A call that changed everything about my life. The person on the line told me to give the phone to my mother. Few seconds after I had given the phone to my mother, I heard her scream. I rushed there only to find her on the bed still holding the phone. Confuse, I took the phone and fortunately the person was still on the line. I told her my mother isn't moving. She asked me to hang up and wait for her. Few minutes later an ambulance arrived at our house and they rushed my mother to the hospital. Mabel was our house help then . She took my sister and myself to her house. I began crying when I realized I wouldn't be sleeping with my parents. Mabel fed June with milk and she slept soundly. I tossed on the bed till morning. Because I was scared , sad and uncomfortable with my new sleeping place. The next day , Mabel and I went to the hospital together and Hazel! I saw the lifeless body of my parents. I was all alone with my sister. I never met or saw any relative of my parents. After Mabel was done with all the necessary documentation, my parents were sent to the morgue. We returned to my house to mourn. I went into my parents room and was able to get a few dollars which can be used for the funeral and a little for our expenditure for some months .
