MIRIAM POV
I see the Blacks to be my family. I love and adore them so much. I was young when my began to take care of little June. I saw Jesse struggle to provide for his sister. Though older than her, I see her to be my best friend and confidant.
Well so that means we are going to have a new sister. I asked her. No Miriam you will have a sister but I will have a mother. She said and I hugged her.
JESSE'S POV
Hazel will be arriving to the house today and I just can't wait to meet her. I made them arrange the room next to mine purposely for her, making us be the only people on the left wing of the eagle.
It was 4:00pm when Hazel got down from the chauffeur. She couldn't help but gasp at the site of the mansion. It has the shape of an eagle spreading its wings whilst standing. Is this real? She asked herself. There was a beautiful fountain and an attractive flower garden. How can one be this rich? She asked rhetorically. Madam please this way! She was interrupted by the driver. She quickly adjusted herself and went towards her suitcase but was stopped by one of the servants. Allow me Madam! She said Bowing. Hazel arrived at the living area and was once again dumbfounded. The interior was exquisite. Everything in the room was white. She would swear that the living area is much bigger than her house. Welcome home Miss Hazel. Mabel said hugging her. You are indeed beautiful. She complimented her making her shy. She used the next hour to take Hazel on a tour to the inside of the mansion. Indeed this is what we call wealth. She was glad with the reception received. Upon seeing June, she thought she was going to yell or insult her but the lady rather hugged her. Welcome ! June said. Hazel I am Miriam. Miriam said hugging her. Paul was right. I will feel comfortable here. Hazel thought to herself. Miriam and June tour the palace with her. They also introduced her to almost all the workers. They visited the personal Black hospital and introduced her with the workers there. She did some labs and went back to the mansion. The three spoke about everything under the sun. The rate at which they bonded marveled Mabel. Hazel finally went to her room. It was very big and classy. She laid on the bed and made a call to her friend explaining and describing the mansion to him. She was called later to eat supper. Within the few hours , Hazel felt at home. She laid on her bed and couldn't help but cry. This is the life I always dream of. She thought to herself sadly .
