In the depths of night, silence reigned as those familiar with themselves each choose to sleep in thesame rooms
Lex had a thoughtful expression as he calmly stood outside silently looking at the distant stars as the graces the earth with their celestial glow

Hearing these sounds, came back to his senses and looked into the distance.
"It's begun," he said with a calmly
Revre silently came next to him and also looked into the distance with a grim expression.
The two of them had left the hospital without anyone else noticing, and they had come here.
"Those things came just as you said " Lex said, "It's a pity…"
"What pity is there?"
Looking into the distance, Revre's asked curiously while he tried to get on good terms with this future powerhouse
Naturally since he would soon face danger, he quickly told Lex about the attack as he only then could Lex protect him.
Though he didn't say he was a regressor, he did mention that he had awakened a mysterious power after the emergence of the apocalypse and thus could sense extreme danger.
Though it didn't seem believable, considering all that had happened till now, it was plausible he was saying the truth and so he was convinced Lex would surely heed his advice.
"Some of them were innocent and were abandoned by us too…" Lex said calmly, his expression was difficult to ascertain.
"We had no other choice…" Revre sighed, a sight one would find bizzare for a child not more than 10 years old "Even if we were there, nothing would change…"
From what he remembered, one of the captains of those creatures had personally acted in this attack, and he had atleast undergone a second evolution
Facing a monster like that, even if they had stayed, they would not have been a match for him.
Revre didn't think much about the others cause before those creatures, it was useless to mount any resistance as even the most powerful human currently hadn't even undergone a second evolution.
Moreover, when escaping for their lives, every extra person they brought would put more pressure on them.
That was why they had decisively left behind everyone else.
Among those left behind by them, there were most likely talents who could be of use, but most of them were probably useless people.
It was easy to guess what their outcome would be.
In actuality, based on original history, facing an attack from a Tier 2 monster like this, only Lex had been able to escape, and that too after he was badly injured. As for everyone else, including him, had been captured and had not been able to retaliate at all.
After looking over for a while, Revre looked at Lex and said, "We're only temporarily safe. After a while, they will catch up at some point."
Even if there were not yet any monster chasing after them, that did not mean they were completely safe.
At the very least, there were several ways in this world to find people, so they were far from being safe right now.
"Let's go." Lex said as he picked Revre up and soon he disappeared, blending into the shadow as he darted back towards the part inner city to reunite with the others

Different from what Revre thought, they didn't get chased as they safety left the hospital arrived at dawn to what looked like a school campus considering they evaded most zombies on their way
Revre was relieved and mentally thanked Lex several times and was stunned when he saw several people coming towards them in hurry
"This is??"
"University of New Orleans, kid here we're safe" Lex said as he put down Revre and walked forward as he greeted by the group who approached him
Lex spotted several people approaching him, "Dan, what's going on?" Lex asked, his eyes scanning them
Daniel's expression was grim as he responded. "Lex,we suffered an attack likewise the settlement in the south was laid to waste," he revealed. "The survivors are seeking refuge here, pleading for our help and while we managed to placate them, an entirely new group of people stormed here and brazenly ordered our surrender, they're currently in a discussion with Laura"
Daniel's revelation hung in the air, casting a somber mood over the group, Daniel glanced up but Lex's expression remained stoic, his thoughts a mystery "Let me take a look"
He directly disappeared from their view stunning everyone
Revre saw as the people seemed excited as they talked to Lex, and though he didn't hear what they said he assumed Lex was surely the one in control here as they all seemed to respect Lex.
A youth approached Revre with a friendly smile "Kid how are you doing, my names Daniel but you can call me big bro"
Daniel was a tall and handsome guy with black hairs and shiny blue eyes, he looked just like an elder brother and had a friendly aura around himself
Revre was stunned as Lex just abandoned him here with some complete strangers, but thinking it urgent he didn't pursue the matter as he quickly responded in a somewhat fearful voice "Eh-- my name is Revre, I'll be on your care"
He made sure to act polite even though he was basically an old man past his forties.
Seeing as the kid was polite improved their impression of him "Well then Revre let's get you clean up, boss put you in our care"
"Then sir Lex???"
"Don't bother about him, he's always been like. He'll call for you if he needs you, you see he is basically our boss here cause only him could handle certain zombies that usually attack us" Daniel said
"He's that strong " Revre faked an expression of awe, wanting to glimpse at anymore information he could get.
Seeing the expression of the kid, Daniel said with a deep voice " You should know that it's basically been 2 days ever since the apocalypse, the old rules are invalid and only the strong are privileged"
"Now it's basically survival of the fittest and only the useful can survive" Daniel cautioned, perhaps because he felt Abit of sympathy or pity towards the kid, he simply gave an advice ...who knows.
