Chapter 36 - Chapter 36: Great Progress

Day 1

My name is Xuan Ye, and I just celebrated my tenth birthday.

Today, I decided to start writing my own journal.

Dad told me that you always have to learn from your mistakes, so I'm going to write down everything that happens to me, so I never make the same mistake twice.

Anyway, as I said, I just turned ten. It's a big day for me because I'm finally going to start cultivating.

Mom said we couldn't start earlier because we lacked maturity and familiarity with spiritual energy, and we might get hurt.

In any case, I plan to train hard and become super strong!

"Three point five meters the size of the weed you smoke Miss Wallabies. It doesn't make any sense! Sit down and take your time to think before spouting such nonsense!" Mr. Idder yelled.

The young woman returned to her seat, head bowed and red with shame, not daring to even meet anyone's gaze.

Mr. Idder could only sigh.

"All right, enough massacre for today. Anyway, you become unbearable every time, so we'll stop the class here and move on to the results of the last planar invasion."

He turned around and projected the holographic ranking behind him.

[1: Lena Williams - 2,275,000 points]

[2: Liam Adler - 2,167,000 points]

[3: Armand Nitcher - 2,039,000 points]

[4: Miranda Smith - 1,726,000 points]

[5: Andrew Miles - 835,000 points]

The tests had somewhat changed since their first exam.

Firstly, they no longer had access to the ranking during the test, and the results would only be announced when Mr. Idder decided, which was as late as possible because "if I give them to you at the beginning of the class, you'll chit-chat for the whole hour."

Every week, they left school on Thursday evening and went straight on a trip to return on Monday morning, while the second Elite Class only came every two weeks.

On the other hand, the war between the two stellar fields seemed to be dragging on, and they never returned near the front lines between Laniakea and Shapley.

[STELAR MAP HERE]

The advantage was that they no longer had to spend a lot of time traveling since they went through wormholes, but everyone felt that the situation became more and more critical.

Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, they were way too weak to have any influence on the situation.

As he was lost in thought, he felt his watch vibrating and focused on the new notification.

[Congratulations for your 2nd place in the weekly test, you received the following rewards: 2 167 000 points and 2500 spirit stones.]

"Well, seems like she has won again."

He wasn't surprised, though.

He didn't know exactly how, but she managed to find a of rank 4 believer during the second test.

And she wasn't the only one; everyone whose point total exceeded one million had at least one rank 4 believer that allowed them to undertake six-star quests.

It was, among other things, the reason why there was such a gap between the fourth and fifth place.

Fortunately, it wasn't as if he always finished second. He had won five times since the first test, while she had won six times, and Armand twice.

Thinking back, those days had been so busy that he didn't noticed time passing; it was already mid-January.

In his divine realm, two hundred and fifty years had passed, and even the great warriors introduced by the pearl were slowly approaching the twilight of their lives.

However, despite the losses suffered in the war and some deaths from old age, the red-moon Nagas were now nearly 1200, the Valyrs 700, and the novarians nearly 13 000.

The Valyrs had quadrupled in number, but that wasn't strange. After all, either they were mages and were protected on the battlefield, or they were just ordinary mortals or weak apprentice warriors not even stronger than a Novarian, so they didn't go to the battlefield.

Speaking of them, the Novarians had directly multiplied their population by sixteen, but again, that was not really surprising. Their lifespan did not exceed fifty years for ranks 2, and each couple had at least three or four children.

On the other hand, the only reason the Nagas could reproduce so much was thanks to Liam's efforts, who spared no effort on reproduction pearls after reinforcing them with the original seed.

There was almost always one activated on the Nagas, and apparently, it was paying off.

After class, Liam rushed into one of the exchange booths in the schoolyard and checked his account.

[Student: Liam Adler]

[Class: First year of high school, First Elite Class]

[Number of points: 21 748 000]

Liam smiled.

"Great, I finally have enough."

He clicked a few holographic buttons and quickly accessed the exchange menu.

He quickly entered what he was looking for in the search bar and finally found the pearl he had been aspiring to for months.

[Mineral Pearl (1 star| diamond) - high-quality fluxorium: contains about twenty rocks of a superconductor: fluxorium. (Material characteristics: flotation limit: 1µT | reversible | transition temperature: 125K. There are about twenty rocks: one of them is several hundred meters long while others are barely tens. In total, there is about 10,000,000m³ of fluxorium.)]

[Price: 20 000 000 points]

He didn't waste any time and directly pressed "buy."

10,000,000m³ might seem impressive, but it was only a cube of 100m on each side; it was really small compared to the immense size of his divine realm.

A few seconds later, a small hatch opened, and Liam quickly put the pearl in his spatial ring.

After that, he typed something else into the search bar, and two other holograms appeared.

[Spell Pearl (1 star | purple) - general reproduction spell: casts a divine spell that improves the reproduction of all races in the divine realm, lasts 25 years (on average, the reproduction rate increases by about 300%. This only works on lower existences and it cannot be stacked with other pearls having the same effect)]

[Price: 100 000 points]

[Spell Pearl (1 star | purple) - specific reproduction spell: casts a divine spell that improves the reproduction of a single race in the divine realm, lasts 50 years (on average, the reproduction rate increases by about 500%. This only works on lower existences and it cannot be stacked with other pearls having the same effect)]

[Price: 100 000 points]

Liam hesitated a bit and then decided to buy five of each.

With all this, he only had 748 000 points left.

Despite that, he didn't leave and continued to scroll through the list.

[Mineral Pearl (1 star | purple) - fire crystals: contains a thousand low-quality fire crystals (fire crystals are low-quality spirit stones that have absorbed large amounts of fire essence. They can be used to forge fire-resistant armor, elemental fire weapons, or even be directly used by practitioners of the fire element)]

[Price: 120 000 points]

[Mineral Pearl (1 star | purple) - fusion stone: contains a ton of low-quality fusion stone. (Fusion stones are special rocks that allow the merging of several materials with different or even opposing properties, such as water and fire)]

[Price: 150 000 points]

He directly bought two fusion stone pearls and three fire crystal pearls and, with the remaining points, randomly bought seven blue pearls and nine green pearls, bringing his balance to zero.

He put everything into his spatial ring and left the booth.

Once outside, he tapped something on his watch, and a holographic silhouette appeared in front of him.

"Ah, Liam, it's rare for you to call me. Don't tell me you're upset about today, huh?"

Liam's eyebrows furrowed, and he felt the veins on his forehead contract. Seeing his annoyed expression, the person on the other end couldn't help but burst out laughing.

"Okay, just playing. Stop making that grim face and tell me why you're calling."

Liam sight and lightly smiled

"Well, I have a favor to ask you."

A fissure opened and Liam arrived at the top of his divine realm.

He sat cross-legged in the void and brought out the original seed from his spiritual sea.

"All right, let's take care of the simple things first."

He took out the five general reproduction spell pearls and sent them into the seed.

As usual, thousands of runes lit up on the surface of the artifact as the divine pearls decomposed.

Liam plunged his consciousness into the artifact and began deciphering the source of the pearls.

It wasn't the first time he had performed such an operation, and he was becoming very familiar with this type of spells.

Of course, they were all different and had their little quirks that set them apart.

It was like a math problem. They all arrived at the same result but had different trains of thought.

However, after doing it so many times, he began to understand the basics and could easily merge them and consume almost no creation energy to fuse them.

He quickly indicated the direction he wanted the final pearl to take and began merging the pearls.

The original seed began to spin faster and faster, and a few minutes later, the result was ejected.

Liam took the pearl and placed it on his watch to evaluate it.

[Spell Pearl (1 star | Gold) - general reproduction spell: casts a divine spell that improves the reproduction of all races in the divine realm, lasts 100 years (on average, the reproduction rate increases by about 250%. This only works on lower existences and it cannot be stacked with other pearls having the same effect)]

He nodded and repeated the process with the five other reproduction spell pearls.

[Spell Pearl (1 star | gold) - specific reproduction spell: casts a divine spell that improves the reproduction of a single race in the divine realm, lasts 100 years (on average, the reproduction rate increases by about 350%. This only works on lower existences and it can be stacked with only one other pearl of the same nature)]

Although the pearl lost 30% of its effectiveness, and despite the stacking being done by addition and not by product, the fertility rate of the Nagas would increase by 600% when Liam would use the two pearls.

In other words, as long as the female was in her fertile period and the male was not sterile, they were almost sure to conceive a baby.

Liam took advantage of this brief respite to take a look at his divine realm, which had changed a lot since he welcomed the Valyrs.

Under the constant influx of tens of thousands of spirit stones, it had already reached a radius of nearly 200km.

In the center of the realm, the depth was about 30km, and it reached 1km at the edge of the demi-plane, just like the height of the spatial barrier.

There were now two continents: the first was the original continent, close to the center, which had grown a lot, and the second had appeared some time ago at the edge of the realm.

The first continent represented 36% of the surface, the second 15%, and the islands 6%. The remaining 43% were ocean.

As for its inhabitants, Ilbert and Sylvera had agreed to begin relocating their people and had started building three more cities and several villages on the main continent.

Liam couldn't be happier.

After all, his divine realm was at the absolute peak of demi-planes, and he would have already formed an origin stone if he didn't prevent it.

"Now it's time for the main event!" He said inwardly.

He smiled and took out dozens of divine pearls from his spatial ring.

There was the superconductors pearls, fifteen fire crystals pearls and twelve fusion stones pearls.

Fortunately, he had good friends who didn't hesitate to lend him millions of points.

In addition to that, there were also about fifty completely random pearls of green and blue quality, as well as a very special pearl.

[Mineral Pearl (1 star | diamond) - magic crystals: contains 1000 tons of low-quality magic ore (magic ore is a very good conductor for spiritual energy. A small amount is enough to double the performance of formations and magical arrays, or even create powerful artifacts)]
