Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Training Begins

Packing our bags as the bell rang, the boys and I left the classroom and headed home.

On our way we passed by the park, where we usually hang around when we're not at our houses when a shiver passed down my spine.

"Everything okay?" Oki asked as he turned to look at me, seeing as I stopped in the middle of the road.

"I'm fine!" I said with a smile, "Just got the creeps all of a sudden, Hehe, Nothing to worry about,"

"If you say so..." Oki said before he turned away and continued his walk.

I took a quick look around, hoping to find whatever my body subconsciously reacted to, but had to run after Oki and Issei before they got too far from me.

...........

An Older man frowned under his mempo as the words his superior told him yesterday repeated in his mind.

"Train the Kid enough so he won't blow himself up whenever he uses his Sacred Gear," The God of Storms told him as the two sat in front of each other inside an office building high above the clouds.

"Isn't taking care of the kid your job now?" The man asked Susanoo, receiving a chuckle from the Deity.

"How on the nose can you get Yahata, We moved you to Kouh for this exact purpose," The God's voice echoed in his mind.

The man grumbled in annoyance as he looked at his newest student walking home.

"Let's see if you're worth it," He whispered to himself, and with a kick to the ground, he disappeared.

.................

"Hey guys wait for... me?" I paused as I took in my surroundings, seeing that Oki and Issei were both gone.

Another shiver passed down my spine, causing me to look up.

Look up at the purple sky.

"Somethings wrong," I said to myself, quickly looking around me, hoping to find anybody else who was also seeing this.

But nobody was outside, The park was empty, not even the crickets were making Noise.

"What the hell is...?! The Supernatural!" I exclaimed, my eyes moving around my surroundings as I felt my heartbeat quicken.

"But why is thi-" Whatever question I was about to ask disappeared out of my tongue as a strong force impacted with my side, throwing me into a roll across the grass of the park and into a line of trees.

I was in pain.

"AAHHH!!!!" I screamed, my eyes glued to my arm, bending in the wrong direction, "FUCK FUCK FUCK!"

"Quiet down!" Someone yelled at me and I turned quickly to look, coming face to boot with another impact.

Crunch.

Blood flew out of my nose as my body continued tumbling along the ground, like a sack of potatoes.

I couldn't move.

"Is this it?" The voice asked, and I forced myself to weakly turn my head to see its source.

A Tall man, wearing red samurai armor with a blue sash, looked down at me. On his hip was a red scabbard for a Katana, and on his back was a golden bow with a dragon motif.

The necklace of blue beads clung in sound as the Samurai walked forward.

"This is what Susasnoo-sama decided would be his new Apprentice?" The man squatted in front of me, his gloved hand glowing with a green light before a gust of gentle wind brushed my face.

And my body stopped hurting.

"Wha?" I asked dumbly, causing the man to scoff.

"Get up, I don't have time to deal with kids," He said, his voice distorted as if coming from a tunnel of sharp winds.

I tried to get on to my legs, much easier now that my recently broken arm and nose were no longer broken.

"Good, now quiet down and listen up, I don't have time to deal with talk back so if you miss anything, go and cry to Susanoo." The man told me, his blazing red and orange eyes burning into me from beneath his helmet.

"Who are-" My question was interrupted with a swift kick to the abdomen, once again sending me flying in pain, only pausing after hitting another tree and feeling the soft healing wind brush past me.

"I told you to listen," The man said as he slowly walked forward in my direction, "Susanoo ordered me to train your body enough to withstand your Sacred Gear, so here's what we're going to do," Once he reached me he once again squatted down.

"On everyday bar Weekend, I'll be training you, from the moment you leave school to the moment you can no longer train," He said, the wind around us growing stronger as he talked.

"You will bleed, you will break, you will cry, and you will beg for this training to stop." He leaned closer, the wind almost whipping my glasses off my face.

"But once we're done, you will thank me." The Wind suddenly stopped, "You will look at your new self, and you will look at your old self, and the difference will be paralyzing,"

The soft wind that healed me suddenly started flowing in the air, like a warm spring breeze, the flowers seemed to bloom and the leaves on the trees and grass almost seemed greener.

"So get up, Stand tall, And be proud," He said, the air around us gaining an almost green and red tint to it as the wind continued ramping up in speed.

"For you are being personally trained by Yahata, Hachiman! The God of WAR!" With a stamp to the ground, eight large banners fell into formation around us, creating a sort of arena as barriers of magic connected the banners into an octagonal formation.

"And so," With another stamp of his legs, The Grass beneath his feet grew to 150 centimeters in height, Almost covering my view from my short and young body, "Let the training commence!"

And out from the tall grass came an arm of hardened clay, and another arm, and a head, before a full-blown Terracotta Samurai Statue, 140 Centimeters in height, stood in front of me, a green and red glow where its eyes should be.

And then it punched me.
