Sunlight shone through the curtain holes, creating vivid stripes across the comfortable bed. Kazi stirred, the effects of a passionate night still lingering on her skin. Yawning, she stretched, the soreness in her muscles a delightful reminder of their shared exploration. Glancing around the unfamiliar room, she noticed the empty space beside her. Azrael was gone.
A playful smile tugged at her lips as she remembered the passionate encounter, they had shared the night before. She felt a warmth spread through her chest at the thought of Azrael's touch. She sat up in bed, the sheets falling to her waist, and stretched her arms above her head. Yawning again, she glanced at the clock on the bedside table. It was nearly noon. She had never woken up this late in the morning before.
Pushing herself out of bed, she put on a comfy robe. As she walked past the full body mirror, she caught a glimpse of her reflection. Her beautiful short afro, that they had spent hours styling yesterday for her wedding, was now a messy tangle of curls. A blush crept across her cheeks as the memories returned, reminding her of the passionate night they had shared.
Kazi left the chamber with a quiet giggle, guided by the sounds of talking. As she walked down the grand staircase, murmurs from the living room became more audible. Peeking through the doorway, she noticed Azrael with his back to her, engrossed in conversation with a group of middle-aged women. Their expressions were a mix of anxiety and interest.
Kazi observed for a moment, a smile spreading across her lips. Azrael, was clearly giving instructions. "...and remember, your well-being is just as important as the smooth running of this household. You will be treated with respect, and your work will be fairly compensated."
Kazi took a big breath and cleared her throat, signalling her arrival. The women turned, their eyes wide with surprise. Before they could react, Kazi smiled warmly. "Good morning," she said, her voice pleasant.
The group of women bowed together. "Good morning, Milady," they said together, their voices full of amazement.
Kazi shuddered somewhat at the formalities. "Please," she murmured dismissively, waving her hand. "There is no need for such formality. Call me Kazi."
The women exchanged uneasy glances. One woman, with nice eyes and a warm smile, went forward. "As you wish, Kazi."
Kazi had a surge of warmth. "Thank you," she said sincerely. "And a warm welcome to you all."
Azrael turned, his face brightening at the sight of Kazi. He approached her, his eyes shining with affection. "There you are, beautiful," he muttered, his voice heavy from sleep. He stretched out and gently kissed her on the forehead.
Kazi snuggled into his embrace, a happy sigh leaving her lips.
The maids, their faces still flushed with surprise at Kazi's nonchalant demeanour, exchanged uneasy chuckles before leaving the room. Kazi watched them leave, a smile on her lips.
"So," she asked Azrael, her voice tinged with amusement, "what exactly where you doing there, love?"
Azrael, with his arm still around her waist, chuckled. "I am just making sure the new staff is settled in, beautiful. Explaining their duties, their pay schedule – basic housekeeping matters."
Kazi raised a mischievous eyebrow. "Is that not typically the role of the wife?"
He brushed a stray strand of hair from her face, his gaze tender. "Kazi," he began, his voice gentling, "you are a General, a powerful warrior of Niameda. Domestic matters should burden your brilliant mind. Besides," he added with a wink, "I would not want you to waste your time with mundane chores when we could be exploring other, far more interesting avenues."
Kazi burst out laughing, the sound echoing through the grand room. "Azrael," she teased, "you never cease to amaze me. I never knew you cared so much about keeping my schedule free."
A blush crept up Azrael's neck. "Does it not show, Kazi?" he murmured, leaning in to steal a kiss.
Kazi playfully swatted his hand away. "Hold on there, love," she said, a mischievous glint in her eyes, "mornings calls and all that. Besides, who wants to kiss a woman with poor hygiene?"
Azrael feigned a look of disappointment, settling for a quick peck on her cheek. "Alright, alright," he said. "But tell me, how are you feeling this fine morning, my warrior companion?"
Kazi's cheeks flushed as the memory of their passionate night flooded back. "Let's just say," she drawled, her voice husky with a hint of amusement, "I quite enjoyed our... exploration of the new chambers last night."
Azrael's eyes grew dark with longing. "Enjoyed it?" he asked, a deep growl in his chest. "Kazi, my darling, enjoyed doesn't even begin to express it." He paused, searching for the words to convey his emotions. Before he could finish his sentence, he scooped Kazi up into his arms, her surprised shriek turning into laughter. "Azrael! Put me down!" she exclaimed; her voice breathless with amusement.
Azrael, his eyes twinkling, simply held her tighter. "Round two, then?" he challenged, his voice a husky whisper against her ear.
Kazi threw her head back and laughed, a sound that filled the room with pure joy. "You are impossible," she declared, but there was a smile in her voice.
With Azrael carrying her bridal style, they walked out of the living room, ready to face the day, and perhaps, another round of exploration... together.

Their laughter echoed through the halls, drawing curious glances from the servants as they passed.
They arrived in their chamber, the heavy drapes drawn, the candles flickering, casting soft shadows across the ornate furnishings. With a fluid grace, Azrael lowered Kazi to the large bed, their bodies still pressed together. He kissed her deeply, his tongue dancing with hers, as his hands roamed over her curves, tracing patterns that ignited sparks of desire within her.
Kazi moaned into his mouth, arching her back, her fingernails digging into his shoulders. She could feel the heat between them, a tangible force that seemed to consume them both. With a growl, she pushed him back, breaking their kiss to gasp for air. Her eyes were dark and luminous, her cheeks flushed.
"I need you," she breathed, her voice husky with desire. "Right now, I need you inside me."
Azrael's heart thundered in his chest as he gazed down at her, her eyes locked on his, her lips parted in invitation. He lowered himself between her legs, his erection brushing against her wetness. With a growl, he thrust forward, filling her, claiming her. Their bodies moved together in perfect harmony, their skin slapping against each other in time with their breath.
Kazi arched her back, her nails digging into his shoulders as she met his every thrust. She felt herself on the brink, the orgasm building inside her, threatening to consume her. With a cry of release, she convulsed around him, her body shuddering with pleasure as waves of ecstasy washed over her.
Azrael followed her over the edge, his grip on her hips tightening as he thrust deeper, his release claiming them both. Their bodies moved together in perfect rhythm, their sweat-slicked skin sliding against each other. He pressed his lips to hers, their breath mingling as they came down from the heights of passion.
Finally, spent, they collapsed together on the bed, their hearts racing, their bodies slick with sweat and desire. As they caught their breath, their fingers entwined, their lips still tingling from the passionate kisses they had shared. The room was filled with the sound of their ragged breathing and the soft rustle of the sheets as they moved against each other, their bodies still seeking completion.
"That was... incredible," Kazi whispered, her cheek pressed against Azrael's chest.
"I have always found you incredible, my love," he replied, stroking her hair with a gentle hand.
They laid on the bed for a while, catching their breath, their bodies still slick with sweat and their hearts still racing. The soft sheets caressed their skin, and the scent of their lovemaking filled the air. With every deep breath, they inhaled each other, savouring the intimacy that bound them together.
