Chapter 310 - Side Chapter: Spectacular Spider-Man

The city was alive with chaos. Explosions echoed off the towering skyscrapers, and police sirens wailed in the distance as flames rose from overturned cars. Spectacular Spider-Man swung through the smoke-filled air, his sharp reflexes and quick wit the only things keeping him ahead of the escalating danger. A gang of heavily armed mercenaries had taken over downtown, terrorizing civilians and wreaking havoc. But they hadn't counted on one thing—Spider-Man.

Leaping onto the side of a nearby building, Spider-Man shot a webline to a collapsing crane, yanking it back with a grunt before it could crush a group of fleeing bystanders.

"Not today," he muttered under his breath, flipping back into the fray.

A hail of bullets rattled toward him, but Spider-Man effortlessly dodged, his Spider-Sense keeping him one step ahead. He shot two webs to the mercenaries' rifles, yanking them out of their hands before they could even register what happened.

"Come on, guys. You know right," Spider-Man quipped, swinging down to deliver a swift, precise kick to one thug's face. "Guns aren't toys."

Without breaking a sweat, he webbed another thug to the ground and sent the rest scrambling. He vaulted over a car, dodging a missile from one of the mercenaries' rocket launchers, then spun mid-air to shoot webbing into the launcher's barrel. The weapon exploded in the thug's hands, knocking him out cold.

"Seriously?" Spider-Man said, landing gracefully. "Rocket launchers? You guys need better hobbies."

A dozen more armed men charged at him from all directions. Spider-Man sighed, then grinned beneath his mask. "Guess it's time to turn it up a notch."

With a flurry of acrobatic flips, kicks, and punches, Spider-Man tore through the group, effortlessly dodging strikes while countering with devastating precision. His speed and agility left his enemies disoriented, and within moments, they were either webbed to the walls or knocked unconscious.

One thug, visibly shaking, pulled out a knife and rushed at him. Spider-Man didn't even bother dodging. He caught the man's wrist mid-swing and disarmed him in one fluid motion, webbing him to a nearby streetlight.

"And that, kids, is why we don't bring a knife to a Spider-fight."

Spider-Man took a deep breath, surveying the damage. He had cleared the entire block in record time. The city was safe… for now. But as he prepared to leave, a strange distortion rippled through the air.

Suddenly, a portal opened before him.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! What now?" Spider-Man muttered, leaping back into a defensive stance.

From the shimmering portal stepped a figure clad in futuristic armor—a Spider-Man, but not like any he had ever seen. His suit was sleek, high-tech, and his eyes glowed with an eerie blue light. The figure was Miguel O'Hara, the Spider-Man of the year 2099.

"Spectacular Spider-Man," Miguel said, his voice steady and calm, yet carrying an air of authority. "I've been watching you."

Spider-Man straightened up, his eyes narrowing beneath the mask. "Uh, you mind explaining who you are and why you stepped out of a portal like you're auditioning for a live action of Rick and Morty?"

Miguel crossed his arms. "The multiverse is in danger. We need Spider-Men from across different dimensions. And you… well, you're one of the best."

Spider-Man scratched the back of his head, a little embarrassed. "Thank you, buddy, but why should I believe you?"

Miguel gestured at the destruction around them. "You handled this mess in minutes, saved countless lives, and did it without breaking a sweat. We need someone with your skill, someone who's willing to fight for more than just this city."

Spider-Man tilted his head. "And where, exactly, is this fight?"

Miguel stepped forward, offering his hand. "Across the Spider-Verse. There's a threat coming that could wipe out every Spider-Man, in every universe. Join us, and together, we'll stop it."

Spider-Man stared at Miguel's hand for a moment, the weight of the offer sinking in. He didn't know who this guy was or what the future held, but if there was a chance to save more people—more universes—he couldn't turn his back on that.

"Alright, future man," Spider-Man said, shaking Miguel's hand. "Let's save the multiverse."

As the portal reopened, Spectacular Spider-Man took one last look at his city before stepping through. He had always been a hero to New York, but now, he was about to become a hero to the entire multiverse.
