Chapter 37 - Chapter 31 School Arc (15)

After the ground gave way beneath us, we finally landed below, crashing onto the ground. As I quickly assessed our surroundings, I realized we were in the science lab. I quickly got back on my feet and looked around for Jord. Through all the dust and broken bits flying around, I saw him stepping out from the mess, his Vibranium hand looking scary in the dim light.

The air around us was thick with tension as Jord's voice pierced through, his question hitting me like a punch. "Before we fight, Spider-Man, tell me: why do you try to be a hero?

I squared up, meeting his eyes dead-on. "And I'll ask you something back," I shot back, my frustration bubbling up. "What makes you do bad stuff?"

Jord's laugh cut through the heavy atmosphere like a sharp blade, filled with bitter amusement. "You know about the 1932, right?" he started, his voice heavy with the past. "It was a time when there was a big war  and a lot of people died. Many people were also starving, and the government didn't help them at all. Here is funny part, I was one of those people." And you know what? If it weren't for Him, I might have died in that war. He was my savior, my only family."

...

[In this world, things happened differently than in the Marvel universe. Instead of World War II starting in 1939 and ending in 1945, here it started in 1932 and finished in 1937. Well this world is a different universe from the Spider-Man stories we're used to, with its own unique history and events.]

.....

Then His words painted a picture of hardship and neglect, making it clear just how tough things were back then. "So Imagine feeling so hopeless and ignored," he continued, his gaze intense. "Would you not seek justice if you were in my shoes?"

My fists clenched at my sides, my blood boiling at his words. "So that's your reason?" I snapped, my voice dripping with disgust. "Your justification for the senseless slaughter of innocent teachers and students in this school?"

The tension between us crackled like electricity, each word pushing us closer to a clash. Jord's eyes narrowed, defiant and full of hate, while I stood my ground, refusing to buy into his messed-up logic.

Jord's face turned serious, showing he was determined. "Then I guess we're not on the same page," he said firmly.

Before I could say a word, Jord charged at me like a bull, fueled by rage and pure adrenaline. Thinking fast, I pulled out some smoke bombs from my inventory and  tossed them into the air between us.

The thick smoke from the bombs spread out, making it hard to see. But even in the fog, I could sense Jord moving by my chi, like a energy dark shape in the mist.

Jord scoffed, "Another smoke bomb? Is this some kind of magic trick where you can summon smoke bombs out of thin air, Spider-Man? Anyway, do you really think blinding me will help you win?"

His words echoed in my mind, reminding me of how high the stakes were. But I wouldn't let fear stop me. Instead, I concentrated hard

As the smoke surrounded us, making it hard to see, I used my chi sense. it helps me feel where things are even when I can't see them. So even though I couldn't see Jord, I could still tell where he was because I could feel his energy in the air.

As I attacked, I moved smoothly and accurately, switching between different fighting moves. First, I kicked backward with strength, like a coiled spring unleashing its force. Then, I swung my leg in a roundhouse kick, aiming carefully at Jord's weak spots.

Jord looked both surprised and annoyed. He took a step back, showing that my hits were getting to him. But just as quickly, he got himself together. You could see he was still determined, even though I was landing hits. He wasn't giving up, not for a second.

As I kept kicking from the side, Jord got more and more frustrated. He grunted in anger, struggling to stay steady as my kicks pushed him back. And when I landed a powerful kick right to his front, I could feel the force all the way through me. Jord's reaction was intense; he growled with fury, his voice dripping with anger. "You!!!" he yelled, clearly furious. But even with his anger, he couldn't ignore how well my attack was working against him.

With each kick and punch I threw, Jord got more and more mad. He was tough, though. Even though I hit him hard, he didn't give up. He just kept going, even when it hurt.

"Spider-Man, you're making me mad!" Jord yelled as I dodged his random punches.

"You're a coward, hiding in the shadows!" he shouted, trying to hit me.

As I was about to hit him once more, Jord suddenly grabbed my arms tightly, pinning me in place. Panic surged through me as I tried to break free, but his grip was too strong. It felt like I was trapped in a steel trap, unable to move an inch.

"Finally," Jord growled, sounding as if he won, as he gripped me tighter. Then, he swung his Vibranium-powered fist at me with all his might. The punch hit me hard, sending shockwaves of pain through my body.

The punch hit me hard, and it hurt a lot. It felt like my whole body was shaking from the power of the hit. I clenched my teeth, trying hard not to pass out as I was thrown back, everything around me turning into a dizzying mess.

As the smoke started to fade away, I could see the devastation in the science lab. The place was wrecked, and I felt a sinking feeling in my stomach. Jord's punch with that powerful Vibranium arm had really messed me up. I knew I was in trouble.

Despite the pain, I felt determined. I couldn't let Jord win, not after all the bad things he'd done. I forced myself to keep fighting, not giving up.

As Jord loomed above me, his face twisted with anger, I could tell he was really mad. "You think you're smart, Spider-Man," he growled, his voice full of hate.  "But you're nothing but a pathetic insect, squirming beneath my foot."

As Jord kept hitting me over and over again, it felt like I was being smashed with hammers. The pain was intense, but I didn't give up. Instead, I tried to think of a way to escape this dangerous situation.

With every punch from Jord, everything around me became fuzzy, like I was seeing through a fog. His words rang in my ears, reminding me how serious things were. But even though it was tough, I wouldn't give up.

"You're trapped now," Jord spat out, his words sharp as daggers. with another brutal punch aimed at me.

As Jord kept hitting me over and over, I saw something that could help me in these situation - I saw a bunch of dangerous chemicals nearby. My heart raced as I realized what I could do.

As I looked at the chemicals nearby, I recognized them as the kind you'd find in a science lab. There were acids and solvents, stuff known for their reactivity. If they were to mix or encounter the right conditions, they could set off a chain reaction, unleashing a powerful explosion. The sudden release of energy from these unstable compounds could create havoc, causing significant damage in the process.

As Jord's fists still kept hitting me, I fought through the pain, trying to speak despite the struggle. "You're wrong, Jord," I managed to choke out, my voice strained with effort. "You're the one who's trapped in darkness, consumed by your own hatred."

Jord smirked in response to my words, his expression showing doubt. "Do you really think so?" he retorted with a smirk, before delivering another powerful punch that sent me flying back.

Despite the a strong and powerful attack of Jord's punches, I mustered all my strength and concentration. In the midst of our chaotic fight, I directed my organic web shooters towards the nearby chemicals. With a quick action, I shot out strands of webbing towards the containers. Quickly and smoothly, I flung the dangerous chemicals at Jord's Vibranium arm.

Jord's face went from angry to confused and scared as he figured out my plan. But before he could do anything, it was already happening. The chemicals touched his Vibranium arm, and suddenly, everything exploded in a bright light and loud noise.

...

In the midst of all the chaos, the explosion's searing heat engulfed me, sending shockwaves of pain rippling through my body. "It hurts like hell!"  I screamed, the agony slicing through me like sharp knives.

Even though it hurt like crazy, I couldn't let it slow me down. I begged the Spiderman system to give me a health potion, then it pops up in my hand. Clenching my teeth against the pain, I snatched the potion and gulped it down, feeling its soothing effects gradually ease the searing pain over my body.

and I heard a scream filled with pain and sadness. It was Jord, yelling as he struggled against the fire that was burning him.

"Ahhhhhh!" His scream filled the room, a chilling reminder of what happened because of our fight. Even with everything that had happened, I felt a bit sorry for him. He was stuck in the fire I caused.

As I watched the flames engulf him, "Thats when I realize that despite the pain he had caused to other people: I couldn't bring myself to see him as a mere villain. Jord was just like so many others, deeply hurt by the horrors of war and its aftermath. He wanted payback for what he saw as the government's betrayal during World War II. It was like he was trying to revenge and settle the score for all the suffering he and others endured.

As the fire surrounded him, Jord's voice trembled amidst the crackling fire. "S-Spider-Man! E-Even if I'm consumed by this fire, my -b-boss... will-... will avenge me," he gasped before the flames swallowed his words.

As the fire burned on, consuming his body, Jord stopped moving and went quiet. Despite the flames lingering around him, there was no more movement, no more sound. Jord had succumbed to the inferno, Jord had died in the fire.
