It was a full moon ,although the night was not very bright, because the clouds had obscured the moon light .

The shadows in the city seemed to stretch out forever into the darkness of the night.

London was a city full of diverse cultures and people ,it would be accurate to say that some one who did not belong, would most likely go unnoticed in London.

In the dark of and ally ,a creature that was not of the mortal world appeared.

Dressed in a black suit, that looked more like it had come from the Victorian age than the twenty first century, was a creature of five foot six inches tall, dark green eyes and dark brown hair ,that went past his shoulders and hid his pointed ears .

He had a pale complexion, but not so pale that it would attract unwanted attention .

He held himself with a sense of pride and confidence .

By the standards of his race ,he was considered quite handsome, humans would consider him to be beautiful ,he was a dark elf.

The dark elves were the most loyal servants of the Vampires .

This dark elf was a member of the elite, that only served the king of Vampires ,and answered to no one but the king .

Commander of the dark legion, a special order that served the Vampire King.

Ninx Salvatore stood in the dark ally, in his hand a crystal glowed bright blue ,indicating that the soul of the Vampire King was near by .

Ninx looked around to clear his head, from the feeling of dislocation from stepping between worlds,and focused on what he saw in front of him, he was in the human world.

For nearly a thousand years have past, since the King had decided to spend a lifetime, in the human world as a human ,the king had fallen in love with a human woman, and decided to live a life as a human, as she would never become a vampire .

So great was the love for the mortal woman, that he gave up his power ,as the the King of Vampires and the lands of night ,to live a single life, as a man by the side of the woman that he would do anything for .

knowing that when he died as a human, he would travel back to the land of night,and be reborn as the king once again .

The King had been betrayed, while the king was in his mortal form ,living a life of a human, he was poisoned by the man the king trusted in his absence to govern the Lands of Night .

On his death as a mortal the king's soul had been trapped, because of the poison that he had been given ,he could not return to the Lands of Night ,and be reborn as the King of Vampires ,with all of his memories and powers returned.

For the last thousand years, the soul of the Vampire King, had been reincarnated into a human lifetime after lifetime.

Ninx was searching for the human body, that contained the soul of his King, the crystal would guide him to his master.

Ninx was one of the last surviving members of the dark legion, who directly served the true King.

The crystal in his hand grew brightly, as he pointed it towards the front of the alley where he stood.

Ninx followed the crystal for nearly an hour, barely looking up ,before returning his gaze to the crystal .

The sun was beginning to rise over the city of London, and soon it would be morning .

Ninx had narrowed his search to a rundown building ,that had definitely seen better days .

Ninx knew that with the rising of the sun, the power of the crystal would be halved .

Ninx had determined the place where his king's soul was, he had yet to find the body that his king was in ,he would have to be patient and wait until nightfall.

Ninx thought to himself that after a thousand years, his search would soon be complete.

He would help return the true King to the throne of the Lands of Night, and restore the balance of light and darkness .

Ninx cloaked himself with shadows using his elven magic ,and remained hidden from the eyes of mortal beings, and waited for night to come .

Through out the day ,people came and went from the run down building .

The building was a block of flats, and from the vantage point that Ninx had, hiding in the entrance of the building ,concealed by shadows ,he was able to see all the people who came and went, each time he checked the crystal when someone came close, and each time he noticed that the crystal had not changed.

The crystal had indicated that he was in the right place, he just had to find the right person in the building .

The hours ticked by, and people slowed in there coming and going, from the large block of flats .

The sun had finally set, night was here and now that the sun had set, the crystal was at full power again, and now Ninx could find his master with the crystal .

The bell Sounded from the elevator ,indicating someone was on their way down, as the elevator came closer to the ground floor where Ninx was now standing, the crystal changed colour, the bright blue had become blood red, and when the elevator reached the ground floor the crystal started pulsating .

At last i have found you my King thought Ninx.

The door of the elevator opened and out stepped a man, wearing black boots black jeans ,and a white hoodie, he had not shaved, he was of average height and build, he was not ugly but equally he was not beautiful either, he had brown hair and hazel eyes ,you could say he was average, in fact he was average in most things ,he drove an average car and worked an average job .

Ninx was shocked for a moment, seeing his powerful King in such a weak and Pathetic state had taken him by surprise, in his memories of the King ,he was always strong and powerful .

The Kings presence demanded respect and obedience, the King of Vampires was a power to be respected and feared.

Ninx cleared his mind ,and followed the man outside the building.

Ninx knew that the task ahead of hiim would be difficult,to confront his King and force him to know the truth of who he is and what he is .

Ninx knew his King would have to go through a lot to regain his power.

Ninx followed the man hidden in the shadows, invisible to all but the most powerful of gods, and the King of Vampires at his full power.
