"Bwa-hahaha! That's amazing!" the voice of Garp blasted through the transponder snail. "338 bounty points already! And you took down a supernova!"
Justice and I were basking in the sun on Dive's back while taking a break from following the treasure map I had when Garp called to congratulate me on my first achievement as a marine.
"So where are you headed now? Garp asked.
I took a look at the map and saw that the massive red X was smack dab in the middle of the ocean between Arabasta and Jaya.
"I'm heading to Jaya to try and find some decent bounties." I responded.
"Is that so? Anything planned after that?"
I had planned to go and meet Luffy and Ace after I swept through paradise. No shame in wanting to meet the main characters.
"I think I'll head to the east or west blue after that." I told the old nerine hero.
"Oho! Well if you go to the east blue could you make a stop by dawn island? My grandsons live in the mountains outside of Foosha village and I I haven't been able to visit them for a few months so if you could check up on them I'll owe you a favor!"
'That's the perfect excuse!' I thought to myself, exalted at the prospect of meeting the future pirate king. "Sure thing. Anything I should know about them?"
"My youngest: Luffy, has eaten the Gomu Gomu no mi that turns his body to rubber. the Oldest: Ace, is antisocial and only cares about Luffy's wellbeing. They had a best friend that they considered a brother but he is sadly no longer with us."
'If only you knew garp' I thought with a chuckle, knowing full well that Sabo was perfectly fine with the revolutionary army. "Alright, good to know. Anything else?"
"Erm… promise not to tell Sengoku what I'm about to tell you ok." the old marine pleaded apprehensively. I agreed and he continued. "Luffy wants to be the pirate king…" he muttered with a pout.
I had to suppress a laugh at his tone. "I-is that so? And you're ok with that?"
"OF COURSE NOT YOU DUMBASS!" Garp roared through the transponder snail, startling Justice and Dive. "In fact if he spouts a single word about that nonsense give him a good beating!"
"Alright, alright, I'll check up on them for you."
Garp thanked me and hung up.
'Alright, back to the shop.'
I said as I looked at the system window.

"How the hell are these low Tier items!?" I shouted startling Justice.
If I remember correctly the Black garnet shard comes from the Netflix She-ra Reboot, and it gave its user electrokinesis, levitation and slight technology control, and Shadow Weaver used it to brainwash people.
The stand arrow shard is just insane. The ability to awaken what amounts to a superpowered ghost that only I can see and control is enormous.
(if yall could give me some suggestions for stand names, abilities, and who I should give them to I'd be grateful. Maximum of 5 for now and whoever is chosen gets a shout out.)
I immediately put the stand arrow shard in my inventory, and started examining the gem shard. Sure a stand would be useful right now but not exactly needed. The ability to fly by myself however is invaluable on the seas.

Both those methods were doable, and being able to create an entire power generating runestone? Only an idiot would say no to that, in the show the combined powers of the runestones could destroy a planet. Just one could be comparable to an ancient weapon. The only question was…

So I started meditating while keeping the shard infused with haki. The faster I could gain a new ability the better, and this ability will meld well with my plans too.
So yeah, I did that for a few hours on the way to Jaya. When we were a bit off the shore I stopped to get ready to hunt some decent bounties.
'System, what is my progres on resonating?'

Point five present? Point five percent!? I meditated for five hours! If ten hours is one percent then I'll need to meditate for one thousand hours to forge a connection!?
'This is gonna take months.' I sulked internally
I put the shard away and patted Dive oh the head. "Thanks for the ride girl, take a nice rest." I mounted justice and returned Dive to her Pokeball.
We landed on Jaya and I had Justice return to the sky to circle the island in search of any interesting bounties. The first thing I did was go to the bar shown in the series. To no one's surprise it was full of pirates. I recognised a few faces from the bounty book but none were worth more than a few million.
"A glass of rum." I told the bartender, slapping a few berri on the counter. While I was still 15 this world didn't really have a concept of "undarage" . After you passed 12 no one questioned it if you wanted to drink or smoke. Besides, it takes an insane amount of alcohol to get me drunk. I have the constitution of an ancient giant and the sage body on top of that. So I could probably challenge all of the giant pirates to a drinking competition and win.
The bartender handed me the glass and I started to sip it slowly. It was surprisingly good for a place like Jaya. I was having a pretty good time until someone decided that they were going to die.
"Hey everybody, look! We have a little marine among us!" A pirate from across the room pointed out my existence. I glanced at the pirate. He was a particularly large fellow at about eight feet tall but that wasn't that strange for this world. His height however wasn't his most defining feature however, that was the extra joint in his arms.
'A member of the long-arm tribe eh? I'm pretty sure he is Dero the clamp, 42 million berri bounty.' I thought as he and his crew attempted to surround me.
"Yeah I'm a marine, so what?" I rolled my eyes completely unbothered.
My response seemed to irk him as he scowled. "You must be a newby right? Well allow me to tell you how we treat marines wound here-"
I cut him off by leisurely placing a particularly shocking item on the counter next to me. "What do you think, Rush? Should I kill this little mongrel like it did you and the rest of your crew or should I just let this little incident go?" I asked the severed head of the captain of the Rush pirates.
The display caused a deafening silence in the bar. Rush was one of the supernovas this year so plenty of people knew his face and name. I could see nearly every pirate that had been eyeing me turn away in fear. Dero started to sweat as he tried to back away. "Ah, that's right! I'm a marie aren't I? It's my duty to kill pirates. Guess there was no choice to begin with huh?" I said with a cruel expression that by no means matched my Kuzan-inspired tone.
"Wai-!" Dero didn't have enough time to try and beg for mercy as my open palm slammed into his chest before everything below his neck exploded into a red mist. 'Im so fucking glad My devil fruit work's like overhaul's quirk now. So much better than the original!'
I didn't even save a bit of flesh to take as a sample because the long arm, leg, and neck tribes were utterly worthless to me. They were just humans that had a small genetic mutation that had become an evolution over the generations. Unlike the three eye tribe they have no other special abilities and were thus unneeded to absorb.
I downed the rest of my Rum and slapped a few more berri on the counter. "Sorry of the mess, that should cover the cleaning"
I put Dero and Rush's heads into my inventory next to the others and exited the bar full of terrified pirates. It wasn't ten minutes later however, that a very unexpected variable appeared in my path.
'Today must be my lucky day huh?' I said as I stared at the pirate that was eyeing me curiously.
"Oi! Little marine, I saw what you did in the bar. That was an impressive devil fruit. What fruit was it?" The pirate in my path was one who I desperately wanted to encounter.
"My fruit is my own business, Hundred powers: Chameleone."
This pirate was arguably on of the most powerful non-canon characters in the series, aside from world level threats like Uta of course. The user of the Kopi Kopi no mi that allows the user to copy devil fruits will have almost no limitations. The mission that popped up when we started talking didn't help my perception mch either.

"Gijigijigiji! So you know me. Good, then you know what I'm after." the pirate said as he began his approach.
My mind was racing. 'From what I remember he only needed to see the devil fruit ability to copy it but seeing as I made it happen so fast he probably didn't see me too well. I also remember that in the premier show he used Luffy, Ace, Smoker, and Kizaru's devil fruit. Ace and Luffy are ruled out for the moment but Smoker and Kizaru are also quite possible. The fact that he was on the whitebeard crew also means he probably has all of their devil fruits too which is really bad cause I have no counter to the gura gura no mi.'
I usually relied on my devil fruit or swords but getting close enough to use them is a definite no because he might also be able to copy my abilities by touch. 'Looks like it's time for a test drive of my naruto abilities'
'Sharingan!' my eyes turned crimson and spiraled into their formations.
"Oh? Are those eyes part of your devil fruit? You're getting more and more interesting." Chameleone said with a smile. In a sudden burst of speed he launched himself towards me. To my somewhat panic he started firing bolts of light at me.
'Yep that's kizaru's!' I managed to dodge and kick the tratorus pirate into a building. Just as fast however he blasted out in a burst of light.
"Gijigijigiji! This is fun! But your devil fruit will soon be mine!" He placed his hands together and when he pulled them apart a sword made of pure light was in his hands.
'Shit. he went to mele.' This was not good. All the same I pulled Kubikiribocho off my back and coated it in armament.
Luckily with my sharingan I would be able to perfectly predict his moves.
He swung his blade and I parried, then he swung again, and again and again but I blocked him on every swing. I could tell that he was starting to get irritated but what happened next I was definitely not prepared for.
"Enough of this!" he roared and his blade suddenly disappeared and was replaced with his hand grabbing my blade. To my dread the hand on the sword suddenly grew claws and became covered in blue scales.
"Oh Shiiiiiiiiii-"
I won't lie. The metallic "clink!" as kubikiribocho snapped in half was pretty demoralizing. But lucky for me. We were now face to face. 'Please let this work' I locked eyes with the pirate.
"Genjutsu: Coercion Sharingan!"
Chameleone's eyes widened as his perception of the world shifted drastically. What was once the island of jaya shifted into a nightmarish reality. The pirate stood completely still, paralyzed with fear.
'Wha- what is happening!?' he thought as his physical body dropped to its knees.
I let out a sigh of relief, "thank god that worked." there was absolutely no way I could have dealt with the seiryu fruit. And if he had on yonko's fruit there was a high chance he had the other's as well.
"I got extremely lucky." I frowned. "I need to get stronger." I thought turning tkk on the pirate that was now having a panic attack.
"Looks like the genjutsu still affects people in this world even without chakra." While he was facing the living nightmare, he was completely defenseless. 'The power of all devil fruit. Is now mine!'
'Wood release: fruit tree root!' The wooden root that extended from my palm became black with haki as it pierced the bastard's heart. He used a logia ability just moments ago. Of course I was taking no chances. He choked and coughed up blood as the light faded from his eyes. The plant piercing him produced a gray fruit covered in swirls.

I picked the fruit and sealed it safely in my inventory. Then I cut off Chameleone's head. He was a warlord candidate, of course I'm claiming that three hundred million berri bounty. I then stabbed the remaining third or Kubikiribocho into Chameleone's body to regenerate it. After that I recovered the broken part of the sword and used my devil fruit to convert the metal into three ingots of pure chakra metal.
Now of course I had to call my kill into HQ to brag-*Cough!*- report! Yeah, report.
"Puru puru puru, Puru puru puru, kachak"
"Cadet Davil. Didn't expect to hear from you again so soon."
"I was just attacked by warlord candidate Chameleone."
"What!? Report your location immediately! We'll have backup there within the hour!"
"That won't be necessary." A bit of pride leaked into my voice. "He's dead."
" …WHAT!?"
