Synopsis
One fateful night an avid reader of Lovecraft breathes their last breathes, he awakens not to the finality of death, but to a parallel world eerily akin to Earth with the same resources, continents yet devoid of Lovecraft's knowledge. But rather than them becoming a human, an unfathomable creature instead was born.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: 0736 "Infancy of the Aberrant"

Jasper Whelan an ordinary human male determined to be 16 Earth years old, living in United States Arkham, Massachusetts with a strange fascination with Lovecraft. A "fantasy" tale entailing several entitles, perhaps best left forgotten. From the crumbling streets of Arkham to the decrepit halls of Miskatonic University, the tales seemed true based on senseless logic and reasoning. But it couldn't be true, people reasoned if they were how would they not come to create chaos as shown in the tales. But perhaps Jasper's birth city Arkham had something to do with that. With it being a location within one of the tales itself, its mysteries wrapped themselves around Jasper.

Jasper had spent his whole afternoon reading the tale of Azathoth, perhaps one of the most terrifying entities recorded in the tales. "Such a fascinating entity" Jasper muttered "It's perhaps one of the most dangerous and mysterious yet it managed to be chained down and controlled." Glancing at the end of the page he saw a line of text that was separated from the rest of the book. "Huh, what this?" he mused, maybe the author forgot to include it with the rest of the book he figured. Shrugging he read the lines out loud "In the depths of cosmic oblivion, amid the swirling dance of stars, I beckon thee, Azathoth, to be as the sun in my cosmic tapestry. Huh what an interesting line" he said as he closed the book and stretched. Glancing outside he saw nothing but pitch blackness with only the moonlight illuminating the streets, but it was slowly leaving for the new glory, the sun.

"Well, looks like I got too engrossed in this book." Jasper yawned as he closed the book and stood up from his desk. The moonlight fell into Jasper's room in a comforting embrace as he walked to his bed, to sleep while he still could. However, before he could get into bed, the moonlight was suddenly replaced. "Huh? What happened to the moonlight?" Why is it changing colors?" Jasper worriedly thought, "Surely I didn't summon an entity". As he slowly turned around, his eyes looked up for the source of this anomaly. His eyes caught sight of the rising "Sun" if you could call it that anymore.

A pure black ball, no not a ball but rather a vortex pulsating and writhing as if alive. Its surface unstable ever-changing, swirling with incomprehensible patterns and tendrils of shadow that reach out like grasping fingers. As he glanced at it, he froze, everything becoming disoriented. He felt a primal feeling of terror as if he had seen a superior creature that could easily kill him. No not just him the entirety of the human race. He quickly looked away gasping with fear, clutching his chest as if it would help him breathe more.

"What is that!" he thought terrified as he quickly closed the blinds of his window to prevent him from viewing "it". He rushed to his phone to call 911, maybe they would have an idea of what was going on he thought maybe its just a natural phenomenon that we've never seen before. His heart racing as his brain continued to make reasons that this could have happened. He quickly dialed 911 and was immediately met with *beep* 'This service is not availa-'. His eyes widened and he hurriedly called again, "Hahha, it must have been a weird connection issue" he chuckled frantically. Once again the haunting *beep* sound was met again. He looked around his room wondering if perhaps there was something in here blocking his signal. His eyes wandered around franticly looking for an excuse for this occurrence. His eyes were drawn to a hand-drawn picture of Azathoth form, a vast, amorphous being, its form constantly shifting and writhing in the cosmic void. It appeared as a swirling vortex of energy, pulsating with unfathomable power and radiating an eerie, otherworldly light. But right next to it was another form a colossal, tentacled monstrosity, its form obscured by layers of writhing tendrils and appendages that writhe and twist in the abyssal depths of space.

His eyes widened as he made comparisons with what he saw outside, "Azathoth, was always a debated entity" he murmured still clutching his chest "But that thing outside matches what the records say he could look like." He ran over to the book he had just read and flipped it to the first page where he read. "In the dark abyss of the cosmos, where the fabric of reality unravels and the boundaries of existence blur, there lies a primordial force beyond mortal comprehension. It is the blind, idiot god, the harbinger of chaos and madness, known to some as Azathoth. At the center of the universe, amidst the swirling mists of eternity, Azathoth dwells in a realm of perpetual darkness and unending chaos. It is a being of unfathomable power and ancient wisdom, whose very presence distorts the fabric of reality and sends ripples of terror cascading through the cosmos. To gaze upon Azathoth is to confront the true nature of the universe, to glimpse the vast and incomprehensible depths of the cosmic abyss. Its form is ever-changing, shifting and twisting in the void, as if it were a reflection of the chaos that churns within its unknowable mind. Those who dare to seek out Azathoth do so at their own peril, for its power is beyond measure and its motives beyond understanding. It is a being of pure chaos and cosmic horror, a force that exists beyond the boundaries of time and space, forever beyond the reach of mortal minds. In the annals of cosmic horror, Azathoth stands as a testament to the unfathomable mysteries that lie at the heart of the universe. It is a name whispered in hushed tones by those who dare to speak of the unknown, a symbol of the vast and incomprehensible depths of the cosmos."

Looking further down he saw a single line recorded in dark red ink different from the black ink in the text before. "In the depths of the cosmic abyss, amidst the swirling chaos of eternity, I invoke your presence, Azathoth to witness the birth of a new entity." he muttered reading it out loud. A sensation unlike any other seized him. It was as if the very fabric of reality was unraveling around him, threads of existence fraying at the edges, and in an instant, he was torn from the comforting embrace of his mortal form. He fell down, his hands shaking, his instincts urged him to run, run far away and escape "it". But he couldn't move, he glanced down and saw his legs were dissolving into a void beneath him. His eyes widened and he screamed out for help, but no sound was made, the eerie silence maintained its veil. As the changing beams of light once again remerged even though the blinds were shut tight. They slowly began to move toward Jasper who tried desperately to move and run but couldn't do anything. They all concentrated on his head as he was pulled into the void below.

A low, guttural rumble, like distant thunder rolling across the sky, punctuated by intermittent whispers that seem to emanate from the void itself. Welcome, Seeker of the Unknown, to the Eldritch Interface. Initializing connections to the Beyond... Establishing link to the Void... Establishing link to the Abyss... Establishing link to the Great Old Ones... Establishing link to the Necronomicon... Initialization complete. The gate to the realm of the Old Ones is now open. Proceed with caution, and may the Elder Signs protect you.

"What is going on" Jasper wondered no longer panic-stricken as he had come to terms of his fate. By saying those words, he had summoned Azathoth and this was a light fate for the organism that summoned "it". As he was about to fall through the void, he heard a voice ringing through his ears, his eyes, his very being. "From the frail vessel of humanity, I have forged thee, a being born of flesh and spirit, yet destined for cosmic ascendance. Embrace the chaos that courses through your veins, for you are the harbinger of my will, the conduit through which my essence shall be made manifest. Shed the shackles of mortality, and embrace the boundless expanse of the void. Together, we shall unravel the tapestry of existence and rewrite the laws of creation."

Later in the afternoon a TV in a local bar began playing the local news station.

"Good evening, and welcome to tonight's broadcast from your local news team. I'm Aiden, and we're here to bring you the latest updates from our community. Tonight, we have a bizarre story that will send shivers down your spine.

In a strange turn of events, a resident has mysteriously vanished without a trace. They have been identified as Jasper Whelan, an avid Lovecraft enjoyer. He was reported missing when his local bookstore didn't see him all day yesterday. And we all know that's strange because if there's one place to find him it was always the bookstore.

Authorities are baffled but the Chief of Police put out the statement 'Every missing person case is taken with the utmost seriousness, and our dedicated team of officers is working tirelessly to gather information, follow leads, and bring resolution to this matter. We urge anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Jasper Whelan to come forward and assist us in our efforts.' The disappearance has left the community on edge, with many speculating about what could have happened. Some believe it was assassination while others suggest perhaps, he didn't pay his taxes and ran away to avoid the IRS.

Stay tuned as we continue to follow this chilling story. Until then, this is 'Arkham Aberration New', signing off."
