Chapter 3 - Chapter Two

Olivia's POV

I stood in line at my favorite coffee shop, my patience wearing thin as I waited for my turn. It had been a long week, and all I wanted was a hot cup of coffee to kickstart my Saturday morning.

But just as I reached the front of the line, a certain man barged in from nowhere, cutting in front of everyone as if he owned the place. My irritation flared into fury as I watched him saunter up to the counter, a smirk playing on his lips.

Without a second thought, I marched up to him, my voice sharp with anger. "Excuse me, but there's a line," she snapped, my eyes blazing with indignation of which I'm sure he saw very much . "You can't just waltz in here and expect to be served before everyone else."

The man turned to me with a devilish smirk, his gaze cool and calculating. "Well, sweetheart, it looks like I just did," he replied, his tone dripping with arrogance."What'd gonna do?",he whispered in my ear and gave me a devilish smile."Now, if you'll excuse me, I have more important things to attend to."

Despite my protests, the man ignored me, ordering his coffee with a dismissive wave of his hand. As he walked away, I seethed with frustration, my anger simmering beneath the surface.

Later that day, I found myself standing outside the imposing glass doors of Frost Enterprises, my heart pounding with nerves. I have come to request an interview with the CEO, hoping to uncover the secrets lurking behind the company's polished facade. I guess his too arrogant like any other I've met before even though I don't know how this one is.The last one I interviewed,I wish meeting him would never happen, but what can I do if another is scheduled again with him.Interviews are an integral part of my job I can't skip whatsoever.

As I was ushered into the CEO's office, my breath caught in my throat when I saw the man sitting behind the desk. It was him—the arrogant stranger from the coffee shop, the one she had clashed with just hours earlier. "Crap!this bastard again ". I can't believe he's the Alexander Frost everyone was talking about.

But instead of revealing my shock, I masked my emotions with practiced ease, my face a mask of professionalism. I knew I had to maintain my composure if I wanted to secure the interview.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Frost," I greeted, my voice steady despite the tumult of emotions swirling inside her. "Thank you for taking the time to see me."

Alexander's eyes narrowed slightly as he studied her, a flicker of recognition passing through his gaze. He knew I recognized him too, despite my carefully crafted facade.

"Ms. Bennett," he replied coolly, his tone guarded. "To what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?"

How did he know my name?

I squared my shoulders, my resolve unwavering. "I'm here to request an interview with you, Mr. Frost," she stated, her voice tinged with determination. "I believe there are some important questions that need to be answered, and I'm determined to uncover the truth."

But instead of granting my request, Alexander gave her a taste of my own medicine, dismissing me with a wave of his hand. "I'm afraid I don't have time for interviews at the moment, Ms. Bennett," he replied, his tone dismissive. "Perhaps another time."

"What-but this is the exact day and time. I believe you were given a prompt about this meeting and what's got you so busy Mr-

"I hate repetitions madam, get out Ms Bennet before I call security on you ", he said unexpectedly making my raise a brow at him.

"Whatever I know you are dismissing me because of that stupid encounter at the cafe but I let this stupidity of yours slide this time", I seethed and left the office with a huff not caring to look at his reaction. He's such a total waste of my time.

As I left Frost Enterprises, frustration burned within me.I had expected a challenge, but I hadn't anticipated the level of resistance I encountered from Alexander Frost. Little did I know that their paths were destined to cross again, setting into motion a series of events that would challenge everything I thought I knew about love and redemption.

Despite Alexander's dismissal, I refused to be deterred. I was determined to uncover the truth behind Frost Enterprises, and I wouldn't let one arrogant CEO stand in my way. He might be a serial killer in disguise, who knows.

As days turned into weeks, I persisted in my attempts to secure an interview with Alexander Frost. Each time I reached out, I was met with silence or excuses, leaving me frustrated and infuriated.

But I was nothing if not resilient. I continued to pursue leads and gather information, piecing together a puzzle that seemed to grow more complex with each passing day.

Meanwhile, I knew Alexander watched from a distance, his curiosity piqued by my relentless determination. Despite his initial dismissal of me, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to me than met the eye.

Alexander's POV

As I delved deeper into Olivia's background, I uncovered a wealth of information that surprised him. Beneath her tough exterior, I discovered a woman driven by a fierce sense of justice and a determination to uncover the truth, no matter the cost.

Despite myself , I found myself drawn to Olivia's fiery spirit and unwavering resolve. But I knew that getting involved with her could spell trouble, especially given the secrets I harbored from myown past.

And so, as Olivia and I danced around each other, our paths crossing time and time again, we found ourselves locked in a battle of wills that neither was willing to lose.

But amidst the chaos and uncertainty, a spark of something more began to flicker between us—a connection that defied logic and reason. And as we navigated the treacherous waters of love and redemption, we realized that sometimes, the greatest challenges are the ones that lead us to exactly where we're meant to be.

As Olivia and I collided once again, we braced ourselves for the tumultuous journey ahead, knowing that only by facing our fears head-on could we hope to find the love and redemption we so desperately sought.

Olivia's POV

I have never had an easy life. Orphaned at a young age and left to fend for myself , I had faced more than my fair share of struggles and hustles. But through sheer determination and a refusal to give up, I had carved out a place for myself in the world.

After years of hardship and adversity, I had finally found stability in her life, thanks in large part to her best friend and roommate, Sarah. Together, we navigated the ups and downs of life in the bustling city, supporting each other through thick and thin.

As I recounted my encounter with the arrogant CEO to Sarah, her frustration bubbled to the surface, feeling my voice sharp with anger. "Can you believe that guy?" I exclaimed, my hands gesturing wildly as I recounted the confrontation. "He just waltzed in like he owned the place, cutting in line and ordering his coffee like he was some kind of king."

Sarah couldn't help but laugh at my indignation, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Come on, Liv, he's just a stranger," she replied, her tone teasing. "It's not worth getting so worked up over."

But I wasn't so easily appeased. "You don't understand, Sarah," I insisted, my voice tinged with frustration. "There was something about him—something arrogant and entitled—that rubbed me the wrong way. I couldn't just let it go."

As Sarah listened to my impassioned rant, she couldn't help but admire her friend's fiery spirit and unwavering determination. Despite the challenges I had faced in life, I refused to back down in the face of injustice—a quality that Sarah had always admired.

But as my anger began to fade, a sense of determination settled over me. I may not have been able to confront the arrogant CEO in person, but I refused to let him intimidate her.

With renewed resolve, I vowed to redouble my efforts to uncover the truth behind Frost Enterprises, knowing that I had Sarah by my side every step of the way.

Little did I know that our paths were destined to cross again, setting into motion a series of events that would challenge everything I thought I knew about love and redemption. And as I braced myself for the tumultuous journey ahead, I knew that with Sarah by my side, I could face whatever challenges came my way.

As the days turned into weeks, I threw herself into my work as a journalist, determined to make a name for myself in the competitive world of media. Despite the setbacks and challenges I faced, I refused to let anything stand in the way of her dreams.

Meanwhile, Alexander Frost continued to loom large in my thoughts, his arrogant demeanor and infuriating charm leaving a lasting impression. Try as I might, I couldn't shake the memory of our encounter at the coffee shop, the frustration and anger still fresh in my mind.

But amidst my busy schedule and relentless pursuit of the truth, I found myself growing increasingly curious about Alexander Frost and the secrets he seemed so determined to keep hidden. There was something about him—a darkness lurking beneath the surface—that intrigued me, despite my better judgment.

One afternoon, as I sifted through stacks of documents in my cramped apartment, Sarah wandered into the room, a mischievous glint in her eye.

"Guess who I ran into today," she said, a teasing smile playing on her lips.

Olivia looked up from her work, her interest piqued. "Who?" she asked, her curiosity getting the better of her.

Sarah's smile widened. "Remember that arrogant CEO you told me about? The one who cut in line at the coffee shop?" she replied, her tone laced with amusement.

My heart skipped a beat at the mention of Alexander Frost, my anger flaring anew at the memory of their encounter. "What about him?" I asked, trying to keep my voice casual.

Sarah laughed, oblivious to my inner turmoil. "Well, it turns out he's quite the topic of conversation among the city's elite," she explained. "Apparently, he's got quite the reputation as a ruthless businessman. Some people even call him the 'Ice King.'"

Despite myself , I felt a shiver run down her spine at the nickname. "The Ice King, huh?" I muttered, a hint of unease creeping into my voice.

"Did you just call him Ice King?",she questioned and laughed.

But as Sarah continued to regale her with stories of Alexander Frost's exploits, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to him than met the eye. And as I delved deeper into the mystery surrounding Frost Enterprises, I realized that the truth might be far more complicated—and dangerous—than I had ever imagined.
