"Something's not right, the immortal we know would never hug or allow others to hug him," War woman said immediately looking at him with a playful glare
"Well, a few months of meditation and mental training can do that to someone… Wait, who's this guy?" Henry asked when he noticed Nolan standing amongst the Guardians but in his Omni-man costume.
He obviously knew who he was but he still had to play along since he was old and many of them didn't know him to be the type with amazing memory above all he had missed the part where Nolan began his true superhero career
"Oh that's true, Immortal meets Omni-Man, you know him better as the Stranger, you know the guy that fought alongside you two years ago," Martian Man said introducing us
"Ohh…. You're that guy, you must be the Omni-man that children these days are talking about right" Henry asked while pointing at Nolan's uniform
"Yes, I am surprised to see you here, you know I have tried to meet you in the past but have always failed, Cecil says you are out of reach," Nolan said as he and Henry shook hands
"Don't worry about that but Omni-man seriously?... It sounds like some cartoon character's name" Henry commented with a laugh
"Well…. Art told me, I have to pick something the kids would like"
"You should have just stayed with the Stranger then maybe, you will have a big S symbol on your chest like that character Superman"
"Shit!.... I knew there was something better, is it too late to change it" Nolan said in utter frustration and everyone laughed
The group welcomed Henry back and Henry himself tried his best to relate with them based on how his past self had but also tried to relate to them more like humans than lesser beings as the Immortal sees them.
"Okay enough of this, why were we really called here, Cecil" Henry said looking at the giant screen
"Darkwing?" Henry asked as everyone turned towards him,
Henry wasn't really sure as to why they were here and doubted that any of them knew why but he still subconsciously believed that Darkwing should know something considering he is a Batman Knockoff
"Don't take my word for it but there have been whispers of a group of Kaiju or Yetis or even both attacking Some Countries in Asia, it hasn't really been confirmed but at this point, anything is possible" Darkwing replied in a gruff voice that sounded just like you would expect from a knock-off Batman
"Well considering what we have faced till now, I wouldn't rule that out as a lie" Henry said with a shrug considering that in this universe, there were aliens that could send your consciousness back in time, subterranean beings, other dimensions etc. Kaijus and Yetis were relatively normal.
"You are correct" Cecil's voice resounded throughout the room as the giant screen lit up
"Ah… Cecil, looking wrinkled as always" Henry commented as soon as he saw him
"Please be serious, The GDA has been tracking the recent events in the areas of Nepal, Tibet and the areas around Everest. We haven't truly confirmed the cause of the upheaval but I believe you all would be able to get to the root of the problem. Nolan, thank you for joining us for this mission" Cecil said
"It's nothing, I stay on the planet as well after all" Nolan replied while hovering in the air with his hands folded in front of him.
"Okay that's all, I'll leave this up to you" Cecil said as the screen became blank again.
"Well then, Darkwing, you've got drones here right," Henry asked
"Yes but I don't think they would do what you are planning" Darkwing replied almost immediately
"Why?"
"They need to be piloted manually from here"
"Well then let's change that" Henry replied then walked towards the giant computer and plugged in a flash drive that formed from his uniform.
Immediately he did so, a cartoon-ish gaming screen appeared on the massive monitor, in front of it was a chibi version of the immortal in uniform walking along beside the loading screen.
Soon the loading screen disappeared and everything suddenly powered down though rebooted seconds later.
"Immortal, what are you doing?" Red Rush asked
"Everyone meet Six, an assistant Virtual Intelligence that will help us with our missions'' Henry said as a larger chibi version of himself appeared a few meters away from him. It was a holographic projection.
"He's cute" War Woman said looking at the cute hologram
"Okay we're not doing that, Six, change that to Cecil" Henry commanded and immediately the hologram changed into a chibi version of Cecil which was honestly beyond cute.
"Can we get back to business please?" Darkwing asked
"Sure, sure" Henry replied as he stepped out of the way to let Darkwing do his thing. He spent a few minutes doing something on the computer before he finally turned to us
"Six, you should now have access to all Guardian satellites. Send some drones to the following areas...." Darkwing said as he started Batman-ing all over the computer with the help of his new assistant.
"Does that mean I am not needed at the moment" Nolan suddenly asked
"True but we will call when you find traces of whatever it is that we are looking for" Henry replied since there was no need for them to wait around anymore.
At this point, Henry was wondering how the Guardians had gotten anything done.
Had they just waited for the GDA to inform them of any threat, if so then that was just dumb but then again what did he expect when the Guardians headquarters was on the ground and completely empty?
The computer here couldn't even keep up with the least powerful computer Henry had built. In essence, this place was more of a chill spot than a headquarters.
It had no medbay or gym or anything of that sort, it was just a big useless space. If Henry planned on being a Guardian for now then he would need to renovate the entire structure of not only the base but the Guardians itself.
